The service was good - all the wait staff were friendly and helpful. I really liked how the chef came out to present and explain the dishes. The escargot was super as well as everything else. We both had trout. The portion sizes were perfect.

A Michelin starred level experience. Let’s just say Recipe is remarkable. The food is creative without being ridiculous and the execution from the kitchen is flawless. If you believe the mark of a true master chef is the ability to cook a chicken, order it at Recipe and experience culinary genius.

It’s always fun at Recipe; Paul’s cookin’ is great, Miles the waiter is efficient, fun and interesting and we usually see our industry friends there.

This was far from our first time visiting Recipe, and our high expectations were fully met. Chef Paul clearly pays scrupulous attention to both ingredients and preparation, and the results show on the plates. Both the starters and the main courses were memorable culinary experiences. Recipe remains our favorite Newberg spot. Brewster Gillett

Our server was awesome, very personable and had good suggestions but I remember now why we stopped going to Recipe. The food may be priced based on its quality, but the portion sizes are tiny. I got a wagyu steak for 31.00, it was 6 small bites and I was done. The Cavatappi (spelling?) pasta was fresh, someone took their time making and rolling those, and the Parmesan broth was fantastic but it was a small bowl of pasta and broth for 22.00??? If I hadn't ordered dessert, I would've left there hungry. I'm sorry Recipe. I congratulate your rise from the ashes (literally) but unless the portion sizes change or the cost drops, we won't be back. P.S. Bring back Diet Coke.
