We put all our heart and soul into a creative and unique experience. Our Omakase is a pre-fixed menu based on raw fish and shellfish. All our fish, rice, and ingredients come from Japan, prepared with Japanese techniques and elements. Our Omakase is a fine dining, intimate experience, prepared in front of our guests to highlight the integrity of our dishes.

This is my second (and not my last by any means) dining experience with the chefs and staff of Rebel Omakase. Impeccable dining experience. Special attention to detail and presentation for both the cuisine and food service. Outstanding, high quality of imported Japanese seafood, saki selection, and dinnerware/plating. Japanese Modern simplistic interior paired with soft music for a relaxed intimate dining ambience. If you have any food allergies, they will customize the Omakase for your own experience. This is a Michelin guide rated restaurant.

We have been regulars since their opening. One of the very few restaurants that we have thoroughly enjoyed and will continue our patronage of this Laguna Beach gem. One of a kind experience that is great for special occasions just as much as it is dining with friends. The attention to detail on each handcrafted piece delivered to you is exquisite. Nothing is rushed and it shouldn’t be. Service is exceptional. I highly recommend to people, you won’t find an experience this good anywhere else in Laguna Beach.

We carefully chose Rebel Omakase as the perfect restaurant in which to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary, and that turned out to be one of the best decisions of our life. Deborah & Jordan have created an intimate, elegant room and have assembled a team of talented & attentive servers and preparers. Crowning their achievements is Jordan’s brilliantly creative artistry he devotes to every bold or subtle dish he prepares for you. Each dish he prepares surpasses its predecessor in its beauty and taste. With his Japanese-Peruvian background, he shares certain culinary inclinations with the great Nobu Matsuhisa. We greatly enjoy Nobu’s omakase dinner — but the undiscovered truth is that at his nearly new, tucked-away restaurant, Jordan has already surpassed Nobu’s long-standing gold standard . A very memorable experience. The service was one of the best I have ever experienced. The sushi and other dishes were delicious and very artistically presented. The best sushi I ever had! Loved the valentines day gift bag as well!! Will return next time we are celebrating another important occasion.

My husband and I travel the world and try to eat the best food each city has to offer. Words can’t describe how fabulous the food is here. Seriously hands down one of the top 10 meals of my life. The food melts in your mouth. Not one of the many dishes were not a 10. I also don’t write reviews ever so make sure and visit this restaurant. It’s everything and than some!

We live are locals and finally made it to Rebel Omakase. After reading a review I was concerned about my tuna allergy. Staff was very professional & confirmed it, prepared incredible alternate foods without a second thought. Every course my partner and I would lock eyes before doing a small happy dance. To my surprise they even carried my favorite beer from when I was stationed in Okinawa, Orion beer. Great meal & we'll add it to our S tier rotations in the city.

It was not intentional but definitely a lack of attention of detail, as I told them a head of time and said it 2 more times when I entered that I have a shellfish allergy. They still served me lobster and then when I showed them the lobster they said it was impossible. My partner then ate the lobster to confirm it was lobster. So yeah, not friendly for those with food allergies.

What a great dining experience. Not the usual loud ruckus of the common sushi bar. Each artistically crafted piece of sushi was delightful and most flavorful. Sushi melted like butter. All staff so friendly and appreciative to have us. Highly recommend!

Exquisite dining experience on par with dining in Tokyo Japan. Top shelf decor, presentation, food quality, and service. It is quite the treat to eat here -- just be ready to pay for it. As with everything in life, you get what you pay for! Best of the best in sushi experiences.

Sushi is fresh but Not Enough to get full! I was still hungry after 19 courses! I mean really? :/ The ambiance is also not that impressive, basic decor, only one restroom for all genders & space is small so it’s pretty noisy. The service is good but they charged the cup of hot tea and fresh wasabi, well, I expected the service better than that with $500 dining for 2. In general I experienced it but I would not come back the 2nd time. It’s actually a bit hyper to me.

Food was phenomenal, service was a mixed experience. There were ~4-5 sushi chefs and it appeared each chef was serving ~2-3 parties. The sushi chef serving the parties to the left of us were far more engaging than our sushi chef. This is where the service was a mixed experience. We went for my husband's birthday, which I had indicated on the reservation. We didn't have any expectations for acknowledgment/recognition of his birthday as we know not every restaurant does this. However, the party of 2 next to us was wished happy birthday and received complimentary sake from their sushi chef. That sushi chef made a comment to his other party of 2 that if it was their birthday, they could also get sake on the house. So I thought perhaps they didn't know it was my husband's birthday, so I let the chef know this and they laughed and shrugged it off. We were confused and disheartened by this. The servers were generally welcoming and appeared to be trying to provide a high level of service but this was overshadowed by the restaurant's overtly differing levels of service provided to their guests. Thankfully the food and drinks were a redeeming factor. The sashimi courses were all fantastic - fresh, nice variety. Premium bonito was out of this world - savory, umami, briny, fatty. The dishes were generally tasty and interesting (ie. monkfish liver pate) but nothing particularly memorable relative to the sashimi. We enjoyed the drink selections as well. The restaurant itself was modern and sleek. However, felt less intimate compared to other Omakases we've been to in Orange County (ex. Hana Re and Sushi Noguchi), where it felt more like a one-on-one experience with the chef. The party of 2 to the right of us was repeatedly re-playing their Instagram story that was set to "Beautiful Now" by Zedd with full volume on. This is not the fault of the restaurant per se but perhaps would've at least been less obnoxious if the guests were spaced apart more around the sushi bar.

Went with a group of 4 and we had a great experience! The food was amazing both in taste and presentation. The servers were also very knowledgeable about the sushi and sake, and I also liked how they took the extra step and offered to take photos for us after the dinner. Definitely worth a visit!

I heard great things about Rebel and the service specifically. I cant say I had ever done a 19-course omakase, and was blown away. The food was thoughtful, diverse, and delicious. I wish i remembered all the different fish, but it was beautiful nonetheless. The service was polite, unobtrusive, and prompt. It was a bit pricey, but worth special occasions.

Food was amazing and worth the price. The ambiance left some to be desired. Seated at a cheap table/chairs with no tablecloth. Sparse decor and not thematic. Lighting needs a full redo. It's not a bad space but someone needs to care a little more about the non-food experience.

Excellent food, service and ambience. One of the most unique Omakase experience's I've personally ever had. Every dish is curated perfectly and the service was top notch. Would highly recommend anyone to come dine here for an exquisite experience.
