Rappahannock Oyster Bar (Wharf) occupies the restored historic oyster shed (circa 1912) building at the Municipal Fish Market (the oldest fish market in the United States). The restaurant serves a line up of small plate offerings, wines, craft beers, unique cocktails, and of course, our very own celebrated shellfish.

Every thing we tasted was out of this world. The oysters, crab cakes, mussels, octopus, crab cake and the burger.. yum! And get the desserts! Will definitely go again.

Bit of a problem with the oysters - which were delicious. But they were very nice and rectified the situation. Our entrees were outstanding.

Well, it was a great disappointment. Went there specifically for the crab cakes, oysters and Rapp Draft. Draft system down, ran out of crab cakes (we were there at 6pm). Ran out of Chicken skewers and even the Hamburger. Everything left was the overpriced shrimp on a bun called a po boy, and oysters. The oysters were awesome. The server was really nice but everything was slow. Alot of empty tables yet they were turning away walk ins so Maybe understaffed. Was very busy day with the cherry blossom festival so likely just not capable of dealing with the demand volatility.

Too long of a wait even with reservations. Took 2 hours to get food. Waiters tried but clearly after several hours they were losing attention span as well. Saving grace was food is incredible.

They just need more wait staff, we didn't get checked on until the end of the meal and we needed bread, and some other things that we didn't get a chance to order

Food was great. Unfortunately, very understaffed. Took a very long time to get someones attention. I understand this isn't really the staffs fault, more so managements.
