   I recently had the pleasure of dining at Rania DC, an Indian restaurant located in the heart of Washington, DC. I can confidently say that the food was absolutely excellent. The unique blend of spices and flavors in their dishes was truly a delight for my taste buds. It's been a while since I've experienced Indian cuisine with such a perfect balance of taste and aroma. The service at Rania DC was attentive and professional, with the staff going above and beyond to make sure our dining experience was seamless and enjoyable. The noise level in the restaurant was just right, allowing for easy conversation without any distractions. The restaurant's cleanliness was top-notch, and its location is conveniently accessible via public transportation. This makes Rania DC a perfect spot for a casual meal or a special occasion with friends and family.

   This place was everything. From the ambiance to the detailed decor to the drinks and finally to the food. Everything was done with detail. The food was VERY flavorful and on point. Definitely will be returning.

   Good Indian fusion food. Excellent service, ambience and top $$$$$$$$$$. Not for real authentic food lovers and menu for authentic Indian is very very limited. Not for Indian vegetarian and cannot take your kids. Pork, lamb, sea food in main dishes. Do not go there looking for any chicken dishes.

   Happened upon Rania on the Top 10 List in DC and it deserves to be there at the top. The front door opens and you are transformed into a beautifully decorated dining room and seated at a open and yet private booth. We put our choices in the hands of our server and from the cocktail that he created to the suggestions for each course we enjoyed every bite. Easy parking across the street till 9:30.

   Gorgeous dinner w/5 friends at Rania on a Tuesday night. Ambiance, food. Wine & service all 5 star. I cannot say enough good things about the service in particular. Our Somm and server were so gracious in accommodating multiple questions, split bills and delays in deciding what to order! Rania is becoming one of my favorite restaurants in DC.

    We went right when it opened so it was pretty empty/quite (which we liked). The food is BEYOND delicious. The Chef that put together that menu, not to mention the pairing of the drinks that also had a nod to indian flavors, was FANTASTIC. We've been to a lot of great indian restaurants, but this is by far the most creative, delicious and memorable. Everything we had was outstanding. One dish better than the next!! It blew us away! We will DEFINITELY be back, and will spread the word! Food: Course 1 - Chicken kofta, drimp koliwada (both delicious, but the chicken kofta really was a home run) Course 2 - Chana masala panisse, Irish point oysters (the oysters was one of my favorites) Course 3 - Chettinad lamb shank, scallops (both were amazing, but that LAMB was to die for) Drinks: RANG BIRANGE - comes in a really cool treasure box. def an instagrammable moment. ANARITHA - delicious with the masala flavouring JUST ABOUT PEARFECT - the smoked pear flavor was bomb

    Super loud restaurant. Not a place to go if you enjoy conversing with your companion. Much attention is paid to cocktails which are presented in a showy manner. If that's your thing, this is the place. The food is uneven. It's inventive but doesn't always taste good. Disappointing. Wish we had gone to Daru instead.

    Food was fantastic and gave quite a bit of food for a prefixe menu. Service was top notch! The ambiance was also great and the drinks tasted great and felt like an experience. Highly recommended it!

    Dinner at Rania was AMAZING! From start to finish, I was in awe. Walking into the beautifully designed restaurant was breathtaking, and then being seated in the cozy booth was perfect. Our server was knowledgeable and patient, and the food... wow! The food was the best food I've had in a long time. So flavorful, so many layers, so GREAT! I can't wait to go back to Rania.

    Food was very good, modern take of Indian. I have no objections to quality, but it was somewhat pricey, $35 for a small piece of cheese is a bit too much.

    We did the prefix menu and the food came out at a normal pace. We never felt rushed. The staff was amazing and accommodating. The food and drinks were delicious.

    This is FLAT out some some of the best food I’ve ever had! Everything about this place is amazing. Service was superb as well…and the staff is super pleasant. We dine out frequently all over the mid-Atlantic…one of the best dining experiences ever

    The food was amazing so much flavor! We had the option to choose between a 3 or 4 course meal which were served small plate style. I eat a lot, but surprisingly I was full lol! The host was nice and our server was nice and knowledgeable in the dishes. The ambiance of the place looked beautiful. I felt sexy the whole night! Definitely a good place for date night 😉

    The food and cocktails were both outstanding. Service was great, but not over the top. The staffs always make sure our water glass is not empty. They also gave us a birthday desert to help us celebrate with our friend.

    Some of the dishes were out of this world. Just amazing. However the desserts were very disappointing and also not a fan of Scallops here. Had better elsewhere. But cocktails, Shrimp koliwada, Chicken kofta, Parsi chicken, lamb cheela were all bomb . Special mention to the garlic naan. Just wow, being Indian i have had naan many many times, but these garlic naans were just too good. Overall a good experience, but i would recommend to go for the 3 course meal rather than the 4 course which includes desserts. Desserts were nothing to write about.

    I love Rania! Every dish is special. A lot of thought goes into each ingredient but not only for the dishes, the cocktails too! This is one of my favorite restaurants in the city and I take all my out of town guests here. It’s also a very beautifully decorated space. Five stars. I hope Michelin will give them a star because they definitely deserve one. Our service is always special. From the moment we arrive to the moment we depart, excellent customer service.

    Such a great little gem - Fine Indian cousin in the middle of DC. The dishes were amazing, every thing from the first and second - what a delight. the main - we went with the ribs, which were amazing as well. the cocktails just match the level of cousin, with attention to details and mixology in the highest level. We didn't have much time on this occasion, as we came right before a show, but will def return for a longer, more involving experience. looking forward to that.
