My experience here with my wife was really great!!! I can only speak for us and we had a good time Rajiv was our server and he was very intelligent with the menu and really explained the process of the food! By the way best rice I ever had! We will definitely be back again!!!! Delicious food!!

First time there. One person seemed to be the waiter, bartender and chef. Did not see anyone else in the restaurant. We had to point to what we wanted on the menu and he watched us dinner

Don't know how truthfully I should review this one. Came in with high expectations and left with clarity #NEVER AGAIN. The food is really really bad and very expensive for the quality of food. If I could say all of my food ordered was really disguising would be an understatement honestly. The server was polite and honestly he was trying his best to service as he was trying to hold his job well. The bill was billed wrong ordered a mocktail and a charge of cocktail was billed.Ordered a margarita with guava and strawberry flavor and apple juice mixed with guava juice was presented lol seriously 😂 Do me a favor don't waste your money on food there. It's the same ownership as saffron and Macarthur's saffron is much better. And yah pls don't tip the servers as the owner does not give their employees any cash or credit card tips. They should be reported to the labor department and better business bureau. It's is very sad to see this honestly. What a shame seriously !

Amazing food & view of the VA Beach Oceanfront for a great price! The service was welcoming and the Chef blessed us with a complimentary Rice Pudding dessert at the end - Thank you again!!! We got the Tandoori Fries & Wings; Crab Masala & Jerra Chicken with Garlic & Chilli Garlic Naan! The Mango Lassi was a great sweet addition as well! 100% recommend if you love Indian food & seafood!

My husband and I are in Virginia Beach for our wedding anniversary. We wanted to try something different for our anniversary dinner. We found Rangsa, an Indian seafood restaurant right on the boardwalk. We had reservations for 7:30. We were going to sit outside, but it turned cold, so the staff immediately seated us at a small table indoors at the front window. My husband and I decided to order several small plates to sample a variety of dishes. We had the crab, the garlic chili fish, grilled calamari, and roti. The service was very attentive and our food came out quickly! All was delicious. Nothing was too spicy or overwhelming. I was particularly impressed with the calamari which was not breaded but grilled and savory, maintaining its delicate texture and flavor. My husband loved the crab, which was chopped and sautéed with veggies and red sauce. And we both loved the fish. I was worried it might be too intense for me (I don’t care much for spicy food) but it was the perfect combination of flavor and seasoning. My husband had a Kingfisher beer, I had a glass of Pinot. Very nice with the meal. For dessert the server recommended mango culfi. Rich and creamy and fruity and perfect. I would go back just for that! The staff anticipated our needs - even moving a table over to help accommodate all the dishes we ordered. They discreetly kept an eye on us to make sure we were enjoying the meal. They took great care of us. It was our anniversary so we dressed up a little, a casual-business attire. But a lot of people just wore casual beach wear for a cool night. I would also recommend you tip in cash. They take credit cards but a cash tip seemed preferred and that was just fine with us. Rangsa is a gem. A real treat!

We dined at Rangsa Restaurant on New Year’s Eve 2024, and while the location and ambience were pleasant, our overall experience fell short of expectations. The service lacked the attentiveness we anticipated for such a special night, and the food did not meet the level of quality we had hoped for. While the setting has potential, both service and culinary execution could use improvement to match the inviting surroundings. Hopefully, Rangsa can refine these aspects to create a more memorable dining experience in the future.
