   Food was just meh this time. It’s usually much better and I was sadly disappointed. Grilled chicken was rubbery and steak lacked flavor. Drinks and apps were great though.

   Drinks and service was good! Had the ribeye, it was over cooked (ordered medium rare and got more of a well done). All other food was good.

   I had an early lunch with a friend. He was a little late but the staff took very good care of me and still brought both meals out at the same time. the wrap and Harvest Salads are selections we've had before because they are delicious.

   We booked our reservation at RCG to celebrate the completion of my brother in law’s final chemo treatment. We had been to the hwy 6 restaurant and had great service and food so decided to give the Waterside location a try. When we entered the restaurant, we were quickly taken to our reserved table, which was right by the servers station at the bar. The restaurant was excessively hot and the a/c must not have been working correctly. We ordered a bottle of wine, only to be told the bottle we requested was not available and the waiter came back with a recommendation for a bottle almost twice what we requested and the most expensive bottle on the menu. We ordered two appetizers in addition to dinners for each of us (4) in our group. Our charcuterie tray and fried okra came in good order. After waiting a fair amount of time, our dinners arrived. Each of our dinners were only tepid at best and one of my sides did not come out with the rest of the order. When the waiter came back to check, we mentioned that our food was not hot. He did not offer to remediate, so I kindly asked if he wouldn’t mind taking back the order of sweet potato fries and two orders of mashed potatoes (which were in individual containers) back and provide hot orders for them. The food in general was tasty, but because the food was not hot off the grill and the dining room was hot, we will not return to this restaurant. It was a big disappointment as we always prefer to support locally-owned restaurants and we’re hoping this would be a fun, special evening. Had the waiter or his seniority initiated any efforts to deliver hot food or offer apologies or remediation for providing tepid food we might have offered a better review and overlooked the dining room temperature.

   Came with friends to treat another couple friend. The noise level was a bit much but part of that was due to floor fans running. I guess they were having A/C issues. The service was excellent and I believe everyone liked their food. I had a small issue. I ordered a "blackened" shrimp po-boy but the shrimp came out as if boiled with a remoulade sauce. Not only was it not what I called blackened but the sauce made the bread soggy. The taste was otherwise fine.

   The saga…initially seated at a booth in the far left corner that neither my father nor my husband could fit into. They are average sized men. Moved to a table. Cocktails were ok. The food was mediocre at best. Salmon was over cooked, oily rice, store bought focaccia. Long lag between appetizers and entree. 30 minutes long. My dad asked for a single check for the four of us. I excused myself to the ladies room. As I walked by the kitchen, one of the staff wearing a midriff exposing top yelled out “single ticket for the old man”. In all fairness, he is 85. It just took me aback. As well as receiving the check. They charge an additional percentage on the check because we used a credit card. Can’t remember the exact percentage. It’s over 3%. To give credit…there is a sign near the door that alerts this practice. I’d suggest driving into Rosenberg to eat at Bull Creek or Ol’ Railroad.

    Enjoyed the food and good service. The ambience would have been better if there wasn't a fight competition on TV. Nothing against the competition, just didn't understand the reason why that had to be on in the restaurant. Maybe I missed something.
