About
This was the first time our service was horrible. Typically we have to wait a while to be greeted by a disgruntled server but this experience was the extreme of all scenarios. Our server wasn’t disgruntled this go but he asked “huh” to every word, seemed very new. First off we didn’t get our appetizer we ordered, then some of our sides didn’t come out and eventually 20 mins later they arrived when we were completed with our meal. The food was lukewarm and dry like it was food being reserved or it had been sitting under heat lamp entirely too long. Then the check arrives with 2-3 entrees that weren’t ours, we asked for a box 3 times. Absolutely worst experience at your restaurant including football game days.
Really enjoyed our evening celebrating my husband's birthday with friends! Very accommodating for our large group.
Great atmosphere. Wonderful food and service.
We went there for valentines day and the heat was not working. They had a sign posted at the front that it was not working, so we could have left before being seated, but chose not to. They seated us directly under an air vent that was blowing cold air. Our glasses went unfilled. The cold air was blowing so hard that our food was almost instantly cold. It seems as if they would have offered a discount or a discount card for the next visit or even just acknowledged that they didn't meet expectations on an evening that they knew people couldn't just go somewhere else. They missed an opportunity to make lemonade out of lemons.
The main heat source was broken and it was single digits outside. Our enjoyment of the food was dampened by needing to wear our coats and freezing air blasts.
Service was poor. Server was training someone new so I understand some daily but it was worse than expected.
Biggest issue was their heater was out of service. It was extremely cold. Since it was below freezing outside, we did not notice upon walking in. Someone should have mentioned this before seating us.
Great food, great experience even with a small child. Will go back later for a date night!
Good food and service.
I had the meatloaf. You could tell, it was cooked from frozen on a griddle, the gravy was from a can. Horrible and mushy. The beer was subpar for a craft brew. The only positive thing I can say is it was inexpensive.
Service was friendly and good, and food was tasty. Would definitely come back.
We had a group of about twelve for lunch and most were happy with their food and the service. However I had the fish and chips and I have to say they were the worst I have had in a long time. Too much batter, very tough, fish was dry. I should have sent them back but I got caught up in the group discussions, and missed the opportunity. I won’t be ordering them again!
Food was average and our server spilled a glass of water when trying to serve the food. Instead of wiping up the mess he was more worried about getting the food on the table. Not a good choice.
Great place to go after Colts game.
Deion was incredible! Best Service Ever!
My spouse and I have dined at RAM Indianapolis several times -- just the two of us, with family and friends, and or with business associates. Until holding our company Christmas dinner (10 total guests, by OpenTable online reservation) at RAM from 8 p.m. to a little after 10 p.m., Friday, Dec. 20, 2019, we'd found our RAM dining experiences to be consistently pleasant (enough so that we chose RAM for this important annual business dinner). Our server was reasonably friendly and attentive; but on several orders he came back to some of us to repeat order details he'd already confirmed or double-confirmed the first time around -- otherwise, no complaints with his service. The food was really good with the exception of preparation on two steaks being wrong (despite doubly confirming both when we ordered). My Ribeye was ordered "Medium" and my spouse's NY Strip was ordered "Medium Well" ... Preparation on those two steaks was reversed -- disappointing (especially the difference between Medium and Medium Well on the Ribeye) but not a terribly big deal. We just let that one go. The problem with the evening was the behavior of kitchen staff. Yeah. Even though our table-for-ten was right behind the host station, in the general/family dining area, near the front, the LOUD and PROFANE antics in the kitchen were embarrassingly unprofessional. One of the kitchen staff even SCREAMED a "F*ck You!!!" followed by a loud and proud round of cackling laughter. This happened about halfway through our dinner -- roughly around 9 p.m. ... but, the extremely loud antics of staff in and around the kitchen was going on through much of our two hours there. Despite that wholly unacceptable part of the evening, we still did a 25% gratuity (vs. the 30% we typically do for outstanding service; more than the 15% we probably should have limited it to for the experience). This leaves us and our associates feeling much less confident about future visits.
Great for a big group. Booked only a week in advance and they accommodated our group of 17. Food was good, and fair price point.
Great atmosphere, food and beer. Will be going back. Excellent service
Great service, good beer. Attentive waiter (Brad) who really paid attention and made recommendations that were spot on. Helped us get crowlers at the end and didn’t rush us out of the restaurant. Great burgers and experience.
We made a reservation for 11 people when we got to the restaurant i checked in with the host and she said they would call us when our table is ready. While waiting i got a text saying please check in when you arrive. I again checked in with the host who said they were getting the table ready. A few minutes later 20 min after our reservation we got a page saying the table was ready. On our way to our table the host sat us at 2 separate tables and said they were overbooked. I can understand overbooking but our party was now split between 2 tables with 2 different servers. Overall it was a terrible experience one we will not be repeating. Rock Bottom has never let us down so they will be getting our business in the future.
Not the greatest meal I've had, but not bad at all. Going during PRI, it was very busy and they did a great job getting everything out as fast as they did. I definitely plan on going back next time I'm in town.
Amber was our server this past Friday and was great.
Thank you Dion. Great service and became part of our group. Made our evening!!!!!
The portions were generous for the price and the food was delicious. Was in town for business & would definitely recommend going here.
Good place, service was good but some of our food choices where really bad.
Birthday and a show.
A bit noisy but food was good as well as the service.
We had a group of 50 and our 2 servers were the absolute best! Food was great and the staff made the experience!
My family made reservations at The Ram prior to the Christmas Tree Lighting event on the Circle. We were seated promptly and our server was very attentive. The food was delicious, though it could have been little hotter. We were able to talk without raising our voices (which is a plus). We will be coming back.
Great food and service! Will come again
mint oreo pie and steak sandwich were both delicious
RAM is always a great place to visit in Downtown Indy. Very friendly staff and excellent food.
Very slow service, despite a reservation. Just okay food and drinks. Skip it.
Despite mixed reviews we decided to give Ram a chance. I'm so thankful that we did. Even though we had a reservation we decided to grab an open table in the bar and had the BEST server, Stacy! She was funny and attentive. We enjoyed watching football on the big screen while we ate. The drinks were AMAZING! Try the vodka lemonade. The food was also VERY good! I had a burger and it was delicious. Our table also had nachos, fried pickles and fish & chips. Everything tasted really good and we all left full and happy. I would definitely recommend Ram!
Good burgers and sandwiches for lunch.
Good beer selection and great mac and cheese. Meatloaf was okay a little too much gravy and thin slices.
Was seated immediately. Floor was covered in food. No French fries, fish with my fish and chips tasted like fish but not in a good way. The waitress noticed I hadn’t really touched my meal and asked how was everything. I explained how bad the fish was she said sorry took my plate and walked away. No attempt to make things right. Now I remember why it’s been years since we have eaten there. Not sure who’s idea it was to put a window into the kitchen to see how filthy it is. Wet rage and food all over the floor. I don’t understand.
I hadn't been to Ram for several years. I remembered that they made burgers with prime beef, they were large and juicy and delicious. I would have shared one with my husband, except he wanted a lot of stuff on his. Good thing! The burger I received was thin and tough and not juicy and the tomatoes were not red, the lettuce was not green, one measly leaf. The burger overall was smaller also.
The cole slaw however was delicious.
Great food good beer
Armadillo eggs were very good. The buffalo cauliflower, not so much. Fried pickles were ok. Burger was great, and so was the mac n cheese with blackened chicken. Would definately go there again.
Went there after a Colts game and the place was getting very busy. They did a good job of handling the large crowd considering. We waited a little longer than normal but it was much better than expected.
