Booked this place on open table and showed up for it to be closed! Take your restaurant off open table if you aren’t open.
made a rseravtion for 7.45. Place was shut when we got there
They were closed and forgot to turn off their open table availability. I booked in advance, took an Uber to the restaurant only to realize I booked a ride to an empty building. Had to Order another Uber home. I guess that’s what I should have expected for 2020’s NYE.
They weren’t even open. Got all the way to the restaurant and it is closed until the spring. Would’ve been nice to know that before making a reservation and showing up at the doors, would have went somewhere else.
I am looking forward to coming back after the hibernation period has ended. Best of luck
Drinks were great and beautifully made! Food was delicious!
The parents of the restaurant far exceeded my expectations. I had the short rib hash and my wife had a lobster Benedict. The food was excellent. The price point was very good. The service was excellent! I will be back again to try the poutine!
Fabulous! We love the Railstop!
Had Xavier as our server and would go back just to get him again!!! Such great service and an amazing personality.
We had a great time and meal at Rail Stop, but I must say that our best experience was with our server Xavier. He is amazing. I was so early and had to wait for my friend for about 30 minutes, but Xavier was quick to get my drink order and make sure I was set while I waited. He knows the menu so well he was able to help my friend, a first time Rail Stop patron, select her entree based on her taste and mood. We were also curious about a dessert menu since it was not featured on the website and Xavier was quick to tell us about the giant cookie with salted caramel ice cream. Yum!
Also, we witnessed the sanitation of some of the tables after folks have left and they are leaving no stone unturned. I felt very safe eating indoors in the time of a pandemic. We will def be back! Thanks for the great service!
Perfect socially distanced dinner date. Honestly probably the safest patio with COVID-19 raging across the country. Great food and drinks!
The Railstop is a gem. The food was fresh, flavorful and "foodie-pleasing" in presentation and taste...highly exceeding the "average pub food" typical for Boston-area bistros of this sort. The staff were friendly and customer-oriented and the service was responsive but never felt rushed (we were there for lunch). We were outdoors and felt well attended and safe. Wonderful place and lunch overall!
I am disappointed to write this review. Last time I reviewed our visit I gave a 5 star review. This visit was dramatically different. Our experience started well with drinks and appetizers. The mussels are fantastic! We then placed our order starting with a shared cesar salad and then dinners. We didn't see our waiter for another 15 minutes after our order and sat with empty drinks and no salad. When our waiter finally came to check on us I asked about the Cesar. He said we did not order one. I said that was fine I just wanted to make sure it didn't come with our dinner. He said no you didn't order one. 5 minutes later, my meal came along with salads. We then waited a few minutes for my husband's steak. Although my husband ordered a medium well, his steak arrived well done and grey! It had hopefully shrunk from the advertised 15 ounces to approximately 8 ounces. This $40.00 steak would be described as something you would throw away if you made it at home. Unfortunately, we did not see the waiter again for another 15 minutes when he came to check on us. I asked for a to go box for my salmon, which was delicious and explained our disappointment with the steak. We were just answering his question. Next a manager came over and we told him of the steak and salads. He was kind enough to take the steak off our bill. Not something we expected but appreciated. As we sat waiting to order an after dinner drink and dessert but our waiter came and dropped off our bill and left. I guess we are not having dessert! Once again, he did not come back and we waited with our card out to pay for 10 minutes. My husband had to eventually go into the restraunt to find someone to accept our payment. We respect that everyone has a bad night and we hope to return and give Railstop another try. We want to support our restraunts and servers. It is important to note that there was plenty of staff and the restraunt was not that busy.
Great first time experience food and drinks were amazing will definitely be back
Brunch was so fun. We loved our meals and the ambiance. The drinks were great and the music was fun. Our server was very attentive and we would totally come back again.
We love Railstop! It gives an upscale, but approachable ambiance that makes for a great overall experience. The food is always top notch and the service is always friendly.
Dylan the manager took really good care of us for my birthday even after our issue with lunch. Our server was amazing as well.
Took awhile to get drinks, and the appetizer arrived before our wine. Then entrees arrived before they had cleared appetizer. Food was good, had the figs wrapped in bacon, and the sweet potato gnocchi. Wine list also good.
At the end of our meal we had dessert in the form of Espresso cocktails, also good. And then we saw a mouse. I'm not skittish, and I understand why there would be a mouse in a restaurant, however the manager instead of apologizing explained that the other businesses in the area was the cause. (and BTW as he was talking to us he saw it too...)
No offer of a coupon for next time, no real apology and nothing taken off the bill. I'm also not one to look for free stuff, but especially in Covid times you would expect a bit more of customer service. Not high on my list to return to.
Great brunch menu, enjoyable experience
Great place, very friendly, with huge TV screens for your favorite sports. Place is well designed, you could definitely hold a business meeting there. Its big and open, comfortable and not cramped. Great food, reasonably priced, with full craft beer selection. Highly recommended!
This may be my 8th time eating here. The food, service and atmosphere is great. I really like how it’s more casual/upscale with some tv’s at the long bar. I prefer places like these since you can have more fun and watch a game if you didn’t want to miss it. The prices are reasonable.
It’s been great with the outside dining, especially during the pandemic. They have the tables spread out and everyone practicing safety measures.
I’ve brought my husband here and a variety of different friends, each time was enjoyable. The wait staff are attentive, and friendly.
The last server we had was my favorite server of all time, Xavier! He was super funny, entertaining and was very helpful telling In us what certain dishes were. I felt like we got free entertainment with our service. It made the night so much fun.
I’m sure I’ll be back and I’ll keep recommending this restaurant.
Excellent place to grab a bite to eat outside. Excellent drink and dessert menu as well! No complaints...
10/10 Recommend!! Our waiter, Matthew, was phenomenal! He made the best recommendations to suit us and always checked in to make sure we were doing well. The atmosphere was very serene and pleasant. It is a little pricey, but definitely worth it!!
We had a great brunch outside on Sunday. The food was delicious, priced well, great service, very pleasant outdoor sitting.
Food was amazing.
The decor was very chic.
The champagne was too pricey and the mimosa flight didn’t even have champagne in it.
Great Restaurant. Melissa was a wonderful server.
Hosting was awesome and it was very professional, however I expected better food quality. Not that it was bad, but it was not at the level of service the restaurant provided.
Service was slow even though there weren’t that many occupied tables. Was disappointed with my meal. Was not what I expected. I ordered the white clams bucatini, which on the internet described as spicy sausage spinach and of course clams in a white sauce. When my meal came it way in a white cream sauce. My husband pointed out the paper menu does say white cream sauce. I chose not to touch the paper menu. I stated if the on-line menu listed white cream sauce I would not have have ordered the bucatini. I stated i would’ve have ordered the BLTA and that it’s on a toasted brioche bun. My husband said no it’s on Texas toast. Again difference with on-line vs paper menu. The dessert was good creme burlee.
I would have given 5 five stars, but the hostess was not nice, she was very bossy, and not a warm person, doesn’t make the customer feel welcome to the establishment, but the wait staff and specially our server were great!!
Great deal on half priced apps 4-6 and the drinks were amazing. Waiter was so nice too! Get the spicy marg
Went for a business lunch. Chose to eat indoors. Dining room was quiet. Food and service was very good.
Service and food were amazing!
My husband and I both agree, this is the best food we have had in a long time. Such an interesting combination of fresh food. We will definitely be back!
Great experience, I will be back !!! Food was excellent and so were the drinks
I seen this restaurant advertised on BostonChefs and had to check it out. This place will not disappoint.
Great cocktails and food. Friendly servers. Always a great time out on their patio.
Sat outside, was a beautiful night. From start to finish, a wonderful experience; drinks were fantastic, apps & dinner were even better! Risotto was incredible. Our server was friendly & prompt & the hostess was super accommodating by turning down the music as we were right under a speaker. Have been to Railstop many times & always recommend!
service was fantastic. Firecracker shrimp was delicious, burger and sweet potato fries were good. The spicy pasta lacked a lot of flavor. Overall would come again and try other things.
Great experience and really good drinks!
