Railstop Restaurant & Bar
Great comfort food in a sophisticated ambiance. Great drinks!
Food was awesome. Waiter was nice but inattentive. Went for brunch no offer to refill coffee. Waiter never cleared plates before bringing check. Nice atmosphere.
This restaurant was excellent! The food, creative cocktails and ambiance was top notch. The calamari and shortrib sliders were excellent as was the lobster mac and cheese. The drinks were a work of art and not watered down. My only wish was that it was in another location. We were only in the area to attend an event at WGBH and there is nothing else nearby that would draw me there. Our server was good, however, I watched another server do an amazing job of 'selling' the menu and describing the food choices.
We had a great time
Varied menu, friendly service, reasonable prices
This place has got to be my favorite go-to place in Brighton.
Really nice evening. Very good appetizers, crab cakes, calamari and kale salad. Everyone enjoyed their entrees and found them well prepared and tasty
Comfortable atmosphere. Good food. Service is also good. Great place for sitting at the bar with friends or casual dinner date.
We enjoyed our visit very much except after we left we realized we got charged for a primerib sandwhich that we cancelled and got charged anyhow and No we did not call because neither we or our guests saved the receipt but I think u should know and your servers should be more aware!
I had a really delicious brunch at Railstop. The location is great, there's plenty of parking. The ambiance of the restaurant is really nice. It is a nice balance between restaurant, bar, and sports bar. It is very spacious and the waitstaff was all very nice. And the food was really delicious and inventive. I had a great butternut squash bisque and a yummy short rib hash. To top it all off, they had great gluten-free options, including gluten free crust for pizza, for my mom! Will definitely be going back!
Great Restaurants. Matt is a terrific wait person --So HAPPY and so Helpful. It was great to see the manager also. Love this restaurant and return often.
Delicious food with a great atmosphere. So glad we finally went and will definitely be back
This is a great restaurant. Staff is so helpful and food is outstanding
Railstop is attractive and offers reasonably priced and delicious menu offerings.
The space is very warm and inviting. Service was excellent. We had tuna tartare, steak frites, prime rib special and roasted salmon. Everything was delicious and the portions were generous. Great cocktails too!
Highly recommend food and service was great!
The restaurant is beautiful and service was excellent! Drinks were great, but food was just okay. Salads were under dressed and the dressing had very little flavor. Our entrees were mixed reviews. We got a risotto special with scallops that was very good and another risotto special with short ribs that was just okay. The short ribs were tender and cooked to perfection, but there was very little seasoning or taste. The risottos were creamy and had nice texture with corn and leeks, but some bites of leeks seemed tough and chewy. I would definitely try this restaurant again, but maybe stick to menu items next time, hoping they are more tried and true.
Delicious and creative food, and very pleasant decor.
Lots of GF options even though the items aren't marked. The waiter indicated that they can do a gluten free version of just about anything on the menu, including a separate fryer. The risotto special was excellent!
Our waiter Sam was great!! There was a large group of kids that were rather obnoxious running around all over the place, but over all it was a great time
Railstop is my favorite neighborhood restaurant. I've taken many people here, and all have been impressed.
Great as always. This visit was my third time at the restaurant this month. My friend who is vegetarian found plenty of options from which to choose. Everyone I bring to RailStop says this place is a good find. I’ll be back to try brunch soon.
Delicious innovative drinks and food (as always)!
Inexperienced server. Timing was off. Food came out way too fast (main course before we finished appetizers). Also, server kept trying to get us to order more and add items with up charges. Nice ambience but food is overpriced for what it is. My wife asked for a glass of wine without specifying what and he gave her one that costs $16.
In the past I have had a great meal at Rail Stop. It tonight the halibut was very thin and dry like it was reheated. Very disappointing. I complained but our waiter did not seem to care.
The restaurant had excellent service & a nice variety of dishes. We sat at a cozy booth & were not disturbed by the chatter of other patrons or the Sunday night football fans seated at the bar.
Super new place. Great broad menu from snack to full meal. Great food including homemade bread basket that was too.good! Beautiful but not too crazy environment. We loved it and went back the next night.
First time at the Railstop for my birthday. Food and drinks were absolutely amazing. We had the oysters and crab cakes for an appetizer with a dirty martini and an espresso martini. For dinner I had the risotto special with short rib and my boyfriend had the swordfish. Both were amazing. I then had my special “surprise drink” from my boyfriend, the “yass”. A gin and Prosecco drink topped with a sangria popsicle and two limoncello shots in a lemon rind. Absolutely perfect. Beautiful ambiance and decor, but a tad cold so bring a layer to put on.
Excellent service, superb food and great location! This is my second time and I definitely plan to come back with few of my colleagues!
Service was incredibly slow. It took forever to get our drink orders. The waiter didn't bring bread. My oysters came without a spoon for the sauces. We barely saw our waiter Linden.
It was good and we will probably be back eventually if we are in the area.
The drinks were good. I think the dine out Boston menu might not have showcased all this restaurant has to offer. I wouldn’t recommend.
Have been here 2x, once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times were just... odd. For dinner, smelly expired seafood was served, how does the kitchen not know that mussels and calamari on the plate should not smell like that? For lunch, service was lousy. Food just okay, nothing special. Ie restaurant week dessert was simply a profiterole with scoop of ice cream, and both the profiterole and the ice cream were lousy quality. If they dropped their prices and stopped pretending to be a fancy place, would meet middling expectations, but they are trying so hard to be an "occasion" spot. You can do way better for the price tag in our awesome food city
This restaurant has become my favorite dining spot in Brighton. I have taken many people here, and they've all liked it very much.
Large space and can accommodate large groups with advanced notice. Great bar and interesting cocktail and draft beer selections. Diverse menu and everything tasted great. Will definitely return.
Don’t waste your money on the food, it came out cold & really not worth the price. Beautiful ambiance & great location - go for the cocktails not the food
Loved the service and food!
Our favorite place to go! The staff is always nice and the food is really delicious. Would recommend!
Trainee waitress did a very good job. My BLAT had very tough bacon. My husband enjoyed his burger.
Great food & atmosphere! Drink menu is creative & fun while the apps & entrees were delish :)
Such great food, awesome service and really great drink menu. Staff is always incredible with my food allergies! Thank you RailStop, we love you!
