Each dish was well presented, the waiter knew the menu well, everything was delicious.
The night we were there it was a little hotter inside than outside. The outside dining had a very nice set up and would recommend either.
Generous portions, delicious food and outstanding service!
Thank you Martin, great service. To the manager on duty we look forward to you not being employed at the Rail Stop much longer. She was horrible.
This was my first visit to this restaurant and although the A/C was not functioning the staff was certain to accommodate us by making sure our glasses were filled with water. The level of attention we received was great. The staff was warm and personable. The food was delicious. The muscles were my favorite of the night. I will definitely be a repeat customer. The area in which the restaurant is located is really nice and newly developed.
Cocktails were great, apps and entrees were timely and cooked perfectly, and great service
I never give a restaurant 5 stars, but we hit gold when we dined here. We met for a family dinner on a Sat night, and either due to our timing (we eat early), the heat, or the fact that it's a holiday weekend, the place was quiet, which helped make the evening special. We tried a large # of menu items, and each one was fantastic: not one disappointed. A couple of stands outs however were the cheddar and pepper jelly appetizer, the lobster mac and cheese, and the white clam bucatini. The last dish in particular was what I have always wanted linguini and clam sauce to be, but am always disappointed by even at high end restaurants: not here. In addition, the drinks were creative and fantastic. On top of the ones we ordered, the bartender sent over a couple that he felt we might enjoy and they were dead on. Between the fantastic food and the personal attention of the server and bartender, Xavier and Eli respectfully (I hoped I spelled their names correctly), it was a perfect, and very memorable, night out with the family. We will definitely return and highly recommend it!
Went to Rail Stop based on an internet search. The server was attentive and the food was well presented and tasty. We sat outside on a warm night and it was a very pleasant evening. It's kind of a low key place that's near the city and there's plenty of free parking. We both really enjoyed the experience. I'd go again and I would recommend it to a friend.
Great food. Tremendous server in Robert, thank you again. We'll be back soon.
Great food in a terrific new venue!
Lovely experience from beginning to end.
Very pleasant and comfortable place. Delicious, beautifully presented food. Excellent wait staff
Perfection. Food and drinks were amazing along with their selection and presentation. Really enjoyed the layout as well.
Enjoyable dining with friends. Staff welcoming and very helpful with suggestions of wine and descriptions of dishes . Very receptive to alternating entrees sides.
Service was great , the chicken sandwich was delicious . I didn’t want fries so I was given fried asparagus . Yummy! The draft cider on ice was just perfect . Great table with view
Matt, our waiter was exceptional and made recommendations that were delicious! He described the food perfectly and because of our experience with him, we will be back and will bring our friends!
Everything was phenomenal, from the service, the food and atmosphere. The Railstop has become a new favorite for me and my boyfriend. Cant wait to dine again :)
Waiter was great, place was quiet and the food was delicious
Excellent as usuals. The mussels and bucatini with clams were exceptional and the Giannone chicken was juicy and flavorful.
Absolutely love the Railstop! We went for the first time for Mother’s Day and the food was amazing (especially the bacon wrapped dates). They even gave free apps and free dessert for my mom! The staff was super friendly and we will definitely be coming back.
The staff was extremely friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. Food was very tasty and well executed for the most part. The fish dishes (cod and halibut) were cooked to perfection. The prime rib was a little disappointing. It was tender and cooked to temperature but wasn’t as flavorful as I would have expected. All in all, it’s a great place to eat with friends and family.
I’ve been twice. It’s nice. The beer list is decent- could use some expansion. Steak prices were high for portion size but cooked perfectly.
Always love coming here as the cocktails are amazing, service is great, atmosphere is refined and outside seating. Great times did business with friends or (like us) the family.
Amazing waitress Sandra. She was lovely! We will definitely go back and ask for her!!!
Great restaurant. Great setup where bar and dining are separated. Great for dates or romantic occasions
hope this place makes it. Great location, kind of slow for a Saturday afternoon. The food and service was fantastic. Thank you Robert.
Great decor, amazing service, and excellent food
The place’s exterior is very nice, pretty upscale for Allston. On a Wednesday night it was almost empty with only a few tables and people in the bar. To my taste, the lights were too bright, hence I think the ambiance is 3 out of 5. Since it was pretty late, we only ordered 2 apps. We enjoyed the bread rolls served before the meal, they were delicious. We absolutely didn’t like the calamari - it was a small portion, good third of it was fried peppers, sitting on a lake of mayonnaise and ketchup combined. So the bottom layer was all soggy with this mixture. The mussels though were delicious - good sauce with nice large 2 pieces of toast. The waitress was obviously pretty bored so she was coming up to us pretty frequently, with no need, but that’s ok. Overall it was an ok experience - I believe the summer patio scene is much better! But the food on the menu is not that attractive, drinks looked good though.
Great place with great food and service. Good spirits’ selection, as well as wine. Will definitely come back soon
I had the filet (as I usually do) and it was fabulous. My partner had the Halibut Special (not on the regular menu) and he loved it. We both left very satisfied.
This is a new restaurant located in Boston Landing. Overall, the food was quite good and have no complaints on the taste or quality.
The restaurants doesn't have the best acoustics (it was pretty loud even though it wasn't that busy) and the menu is pretty limited with the options available being quite expensive for the Brighton area.
Very spacious restaurant and setting. Not cramped at all, which was very nice. Felt like you could have a conversation and not have the table next to you be a part of it. Food was pretty good. Service at the table was decent. Had a drink at the bar before we sat down and the bartenders were awesome. Really personable and made some excellent drink recommendations.
food was great as always and the service
Our meat was not cooked and, it was sent back 3 times. However, we had great waitress!
Very nice looking restaurant. Spacious with seating spread out so not a crowded feeling. Noise level low which allows for conversation. Food is very good but the portions are on the small side for the price. Service was very good. Never felt pressured.
Interesting place. We really wanted to give this place a much higher rating but felt that it just isn't there yet. First, it is a wonderful atmosphere and the service was outstanding. We both ordered the steak frites and that dish turned out to be very good indeed. Overall then, a good experience. Here are the problems: the bread they bring at the beginning of the meal has absolutely no taste whatsoever. Astounding that they haven't figured that out yet. They then took an easy recipe (Caesar salad) and botched that as well with a very bad dressing. While the prices may be ever so slightly (a buck or two) higher than expected, I would certainly and gladly pay it for the service and atmosphere. We will try the place again, so I do hope that they change their home made bread to something good, and put a traditional caesar salad on the menu. Drink/wine list is fine.
We both had steak frites, it was very tasty. They took care of one lactose free dinner. Enjoyed the atmosphere. Not too loud, we were able to have a conversation. Food choices were great, we also had mussels which were very good. An enjoyable dinner out.
This was our first time at the Railstop. We started at the bar, the drinks were good. We had bar apps, the Poutine was fantastic. We moved to a table for dinner, we had Scallops that were OK, White Clam Bucatini that was great, and two had the Lobster Mac and Cheese that was also very good. It was a little pricey for what we got.
Service overall was fairly poor. Food was good but menu is overpriced for the quality.
A great place to meet friends for casual dining. Was there for lunch. Nice ambience. Quiet - we could actually have a conversation. The food was good and plentiful.
Second time here in one week. Love this place! The atmosphere is awesome, great interior design, delicious cocktails and awesome bartenders and waitstaff. The Rail Stop burger is my absolute favorite... possibly my favorite burger of all-time. The Mai Thai is 100% instagram worthy... as our fantastic bartender said it would be haha. Will be coming back often!
