Rabia's accepted our OpenTable reservation for 9:30pm. When we arrived the staff and manager were locking up the restaurant and going home. They expressed no care whatsoever for ruining our dinner plans, not even a polite apology or recommendation for an alternative restaurant option in the area. Rabia's doesn't pay attention to or maintain their online information accurately, and do not care if it ruins other people's plans for the night.
Excellent location, service, and food. Highly recommend in the North End!
Seafood was fresh and perfectly cooked! Pasta carbonara highly recommended!!
Loved all our dishes except the Charcuterie Board. Very expensive for the 4 pieces of lunchmeat and a few pieces of cheese. We loved the pasta and the seafood, lobster and oysters were fantastic. Good wine, too. Attentive service and friendly yet lively atmosphere. We love coming back again.
We loved everything
It was amazing @thiccbuthungry gave us the idea after we saw there post and decided to give it a try . The drinks were amazing and the food and service was exceptional.! I will definitely be coming back !
Always a great choice. Roberto (longtime Rabia waiter) was very attentive and always seems to be having fun, no matter how busy it is. The “powered-up seafood pasta” was absolutely loaded and plenty of food for 2 people.
New owners have redecorated a bit, making the place brighter inside.
You won’t go wrong with this place!
Really slow kitchen. Took us forever to get our food. Others had the same experience. Food was good, not great.
So delicious I will definitely be back!
Christian (the owner) is the nicest guy always makes you feel like family, the food is unbelievable, great prices and portions can’t beat this place!
Exceptional food- every appetizer was fresh and perfect and the dinner was even better! Our waiter was attentive and his suggestions were spot on! Thank you!
As always we had a great experience at Rabia's. We arrived a little early but were seated immediately. Our server cane over quickly with menus, introduced herself have us the specials, and took our drink order. Drinks, appetizers, dinner, and dessert were all ordered in a timely fashion with no lag time in between nor were we rushed in any way. It was a wonderful and relaxing meal. The food portions were both delicious and large enough to satisfy without over stuffing ourselves. It wasn't or first time here and certainly won't be the last.
Excellent food and service. The owners visited each table and made everyone feel welcome and like part of the family!!
An amazing meal and incredible service! The seafood is so fresh and delicious! My favorite place to be!!!
Charcuterie board was exquisite. Seafood Fradiavlo was cooked to perfection. They were VERY accommodating of my 15mo and even gave him a plate of fries free of charge. Great service.
THE LOBSTER ROLL!!!
It's all that.
The clam chowder was everything a clam chowder should be. Huge chunks of potato, too!
They accommodated my request to have a vegetable instead of fries, and they made a delicious sautéed broccoli with garlic and olive oil!
The staff could not of been more friendly, yet they were in no way oversolicitous.
Pretty much a perfect place.
Fresh, delicious seafood, impeccable service, drinks were on point, everything was perfect.
Fabulous dining experience with an attentive and knowledgeable server.
Great experience, the food was fresh and well prepared. Our service was top notch. Can’t wait to go back. Would recommend to everyone.
Great food and nice atmosphere.
After two hours of waiting for our dinner and the fifth time asking if it was coming out, the hostess told us ten more minutes so we left.
People who sat after us were finishing their dinner. Enough said, I’d never go back.
Food was very good, waiter was not at all attentive. The owners apologized and the bus boy was very helpful
Been to very many restaurants in the North End. Rabia is now my favorite!! Great choice for the friends we brought in whom had never been to North End. Looking forward to going back!!
Amazing. Every dish (everything w lobster) was astounding especially the Lobster Risotto.
Henry was incredible.
Probably more like 3.5 stars but not because of the food. This has been one of our favorite restaurants to go to for the food over the years. Everything is delicious and the portions are a very good size. However, when it was just Rabia's before they sold it to the new owners the atmosphere and lighting was more relaxing with an old school North End vibe and nice soft lighting. The new lighting after the remodel is just brutal. Way too bright and harsh as they use the new LED lights that in a addition to being very strong is just not very flattering. I would love to see the lighting made softer. That might not be such a big deal to some to me it took away substantially from the atmosphere.
Great time! Attentive staff
Good was great but the restaurant did but seem clean. Perhaps post pandemic but bathroom was gross and bite into kitchen looked sketchy
We had the salmon scallop risotto special, cooked to perfection and the Veal Francese, light with a touch of garlic and onion. Also very good. Will return.
Food was excellent!
What a fun place, fun neighborhood!! They were busy-busy-busy, which always means great food!!
One of my fav places in the north end. Treat you like family & it’s just a fun vibe
I made a reservation for 4 people, at 7:30pm, for my birthday dinner, on our first night in Boston. It seems that reservations are really just a way to guarantee customers - without having a table for them. We (party of 4) got seated roughly 45 minutes after our reservation time. There were multiple other groups with the same reservation time who all stood around waiting for a table to become available. People with later reservation times got seated before us, just because a table for, say 3 people, opened up before one for 4 did. It was frustrating to be standing outside waiting until a table happened to open up. Why even have reservations?
Worst of all? When we finally got seated and scanned the QR code to get the menu, the prices on it were MUCH more than the prices of the menu on their website OR the menu they had posted right outside the door - and believe me, I had a lot of time to study it while I waited. An example? The oyster shooter is priced at $5.00 on their site, and $5.95 on the menu at the restaurant. The menu we scanned when we sat down? Oyster shooters were $9.95 - quite a significant difference. This pricing increase applied to most menu items we looked at. Really shady considering you only find this out once seated at your table.
Service was nonexistent. We waited maybe an hour to get 3 appetizers, had 2 bottles of wine... and never got around to ordering an entree. Between how long everything was taking and the price gouging while there, it didn't seem practical to order anything else.
The food we had was decent but nothing special, and nothing to warrant the waits, service, or cost. Truly disappointing experience considering this was our first night in Boston and my birthday dinner. I would not return or recommend this restaurant to anyone. I am thrilled they are busy after the struggles of COVID, but stacking reservations and price gouging customers? Unacceptable.
Absolutely delicious and fun atmosphere. Zucchini Blossoms, grilled octopus, Lobster Risotto and Seafood Ravioli! All super fresh and beautifully prepared!
Fantastic raw bar-Henri is the best!
This is one of my favorite places in the north end. They do not rush you through dinner, and everything, from cocktails to dessert, is delicious.
If you need to eat as much lobster as possible while visiting Boston from the Midwest, this should be a stop. Definitely. MANY lobster options, and, honestly, the roll was one of the best I've had recently and I have had MANY types. I am a roll purist and just like butter, lobster and really good roll. Rabia's is all of that, so delicious. I had the expensive but worth every penny 1.25 lb. lobster out of shell on mushroom risotto. Truly perfection. Also loved a stuffed zucchini blossom special appetizer, the large variety of oysters, and eating someone else's cioppino.
Amazing food and drinks!
Took my mother to dinner for Mothers Day and had a fabulous time. The food was great and our server was on point with recommendations and understanding of needs. We had a nice relaxed dinner with the owners also being attentive and stopping by to check on us. The only drawback was waiting when we first entered we stood waiting for someone to acknowledge we were there, we were a little early for our 6:15pm reservation and the place was fairly empty but we were basically ignored by staff who were standing around talking to each other. So while it definitely started on the wrong course it improved quickly when we were finally seated
