I was visiting Hallandale and wanted to take my parents out for their anniversary along with my one month old child in her stroller… everything was good so far, quite and romantic, a kind server… and then the food arrived.. for starters, there was about like max 12 people in the restaurant and the food took an entire hour to arrive. And in the process.. someone bringing the food over thought it was a smart idea to serve our plates OVER the stroller… which resulted in staining my brand new stroller and risking my new born child from getting burned from hot food…. When the situation was addressed, they were more concerned about cleaning the stain off the stroller and shaking my child inside and spraying random chemicals instead of taking note of the severity of the situation and comping our bill along with an apology…. I mean seriously.. restaurants can be sued immensely for something like that.. however I tried to be cordial instead of crying profusely like I really wanted to do for my BRAND NEW stroller being damaged.. stain has not come off, and my child’s legs potentially getting burned by hot food. Manager gave us free dessert and we paid for our $200 bill and we left. Food was ok. I asked for medium lamb chops and got them over cooked.. lamb chops were terrible, everyone else’s plate was good though. The dessert however was AMAZING. They were all large portions and tasted fantastic.

We left before ordering food. Tried to get wine from their list just to find out they do not have any of 5 options we picked. They offered us cheap wine for much higher price than menu choices. When it was brought up, they suggested going by the glass. We did not feel comfortable staying for dinner after such welcoming begging, so cannot speak for food quality. Another reason for us to leave is no working AC. Was hot and humid inside. Only few tables were occupied on Sunday night.

Quality of the food was very good. Only had a total Of 3 dishes (2 dining) but I found the Amt of food served could’ve been improved. Had a chicken and goat cheese over tomato. Taste was very good butThere was maybe 2 ounces of chicken at most w goat cheese on top. For 18.00 I expected a bit more. Pear salad was good as well. SeAfood calderata was also a very tasty dish of mixed seafood in a very tasty red sauce, but once again felt like barely any saffron rice and of all the seafood it described only had two tiny scallops along w generous amt of calamari and decent amt of shrimp. Overall a very nice dining experience w good service

Our server was friendly and efficient. Food was tasty, we had the lobster bisque, short ribs, a Caesar salad, and crème brûlée. We would eat here again. Enjoyed the “old school” entertainment too.

Happy there was last minute availability, offered outdoor or indoor seating, chose indoor after noticing mosquitos, great choice with the live music! Some couples really got into it and danced, and the indoor ambience was quite nice. A bit crowded but did not detract from the experience. We got a sangria and beer, I enjoyed the red sangria but it’s definitely not for everyone. The paella did take the full 45 minutes to prep but was really nice. Where this fell short was service. We put the order for paella in early but still planned on apps etc but he took our menus and did not listen or look for us waving at him. It took awhile to get Raphael’s attention to order some kibbeh the football shaped fried kind, which was good. Our drinks remained empty for awhile until he came back eventually, walking past a few times actively looking away and did not make eye contact. By the end we just wanted the bill and to leave, got that done asap in fear he would take another 30 min to get back to us again. Great food, lovely hostess, nice ambience, service could do better.

Very nice experience. Very laid back atmosphere. Service is unassuming, but friendly - with “family-business” feel to it. The food is classical Mediterranean- clean, fresh with good portions and good value. I had “MOM Eggplant “- similar to ratatouille, which was delicious and hearty. Chicken kebab which was flame-broiled at a table - which was kind of cool. Other people at my table liked their choices too. There was also nice live music playing, so overall I recommend this place.

We had such unexpected fun dining at the bar here! Kalina at the bar was an awesome server. The hostess was amazing as well! Everybody was so hard-working. Food was absolutely fabulous - we had an assortment of appetizers. Best octopus I've ever had. Thank you!!!!

When we arrived the stuff presented us with a different menu. It was different from the one on their website and the one on OpenTable. Very disappointed for Valentine’s Day. At least they could notify their customers in advance.

Dinner was delicious, service impeccable, owner stops by to say hello which is a lovely touch and we had a surprise they had a guitarist playing Spanish style music and a flamenco dancer. So fun. Will definitely go back.

We were seated promptly. Our server was very pleasant and personable. We started with the grilled octopus, which had a lovely char and was very flavorful. Next, we had the bistro paella for two , which was delicious and more than enough. The homemade cannoli was great ending to a great meal.

My husband and I came to R bistro for dinner as we were in town for the weekend. We shared a pitcher of Sangria which was so good. We bother we’re able to get 3 glasses each which for $35 for the pitcher was good value for money. I also had the lobster bisque which I enjoyed, and then for our mains we had the Grilled Churrasco and the lamb chops. Both tasted amazing! The waitress always checked in to make sure we were enjoying our dishes and that we had everything we need. For dessert we had the crème brûlée and the passion fruit cheesecake. Both were the perfect size and the perfect sweet bite to finish our night. They even had some live music that was a nice touch to the evening. We enjoyed the evening.

Happy to spend money for great service and excellent food. This experience fell short of expectations especially given it’s high rating. NYE was a culinary disaster from start to finish. The restaurant provided a limited menu and two seatings. By 8 PM, the 6:30 pm seating still had several tables (at least three indoors) with no entrees/limited food. Despite the kitchen back-up, the restaurant made it clear that each table needed to vacate by 8:45…cool. No food was leaving that kitchen. Complete with dirty dishes, two overcooked steaks, an inedible chicken dish, a manager that offered to comp desserts (we passed in an effort to expedite ending the experience), the holiday meal was ruined and a complete disaster. One we will always remember (for the wrong reasons). What a total disappointment. Run.

This restaurant is a lovely informal addition to the Hallendale/Hollywood corridor near the beach. Food is really great and beautifully presented. However, the restaurant is under staffed and the service was slow and not always accurate but friendly. Outside is quiet and comfortable. Inside is noisy and crowded.

We sat outside for their happy hour special for drinks and appetizers from 5-7. Portions are large and good. Also ate their regular menu previously and everyone enjoyed their main course. Lamb chops were delicious and even had mint jelly, chicken and beef kebabs were excellent and lovely neighborhood restaurant. Music inside but we prefer to eat outside.

Wonderful food and service. My Lamb Shank with fava beans was fantastic. The best I have ever eaten. My wife had a shrimp pasta dish that also was great ! Fresh ingredients and artistic presentations. This restaurant is a hidden gem. We will return and bring friends.
