Not as good as previous times, I don't know who a gent was talking to one of the tables who disappeared back into the kitchen was rather rude, loud and obnoxious to the table he was talking to or should I say very loudly, everybody could hear what he was saying. Menu still the same even though not been there for nearly a year. I had the pie this used to come with mashed potato on the side, nothing. The side orders for the vegetables was poor, being only a spoonful especially when it cost £5.50 per portion. Was considering joining the members club upstairs, but as the place has gone downhill, I'd rather spend my money elsewhere. I feel this place has lost it's way.

There was no atmosphere whatsoever - although the lighting was perfect you could do with some background music so you are not hearing the conversation from every surrounding table - it felt like a doctors waiting room. We actually left to eat somewhere else as it felt too uncomfortable in such silence. Lovely decor and service but lacks ambiance.

We picked the perfect place for an early lunch before a Saturday matinee performance. Excellent and welcoming greeting followed by wonderful food and service. Will go again.

Lovely, lovely experience. Food is delicious and well considered. Impressive drinks and wine list. My only criticism (and I apologize in advance if this sounds petty) would be to have some music playing in the background. Admitedly our booking was rather early, though it never hurts to have a little ambiance. I was with my husband, though a couple sat next to us seemed like they were on a date and couldnt help but think background music would help them relax a little. Either way, it was amazing and I’d definitly return.

It was OK but that’s about it. We had a really loud couple on the next table who dominated our entire meal. It was at a level where the staff should have noticed and asked them to be quiet. The salad starter was very tasty although we were only offered one slice of bread. The main course was bland and pale. All in all not great. I wouldn’t go back

Apart from very good food the Staff were most welcoming even though it was 10.30pm and there were only two other tables occupied by diners nearing the end of their meals which meant that we were shortly to be their only customers ,who having just order their martinis were obviously going to be there some time and stop the staff from having the opportunity if an"early night" home! There was no pressure to order immediately etc. We had time to enjoy a very good dry martini, order and enjoy a 3 course meal. We were invited to go upstairs to the Club to finish our wine and have a coffee. Leaving nearer 00.30. no one had come to hassle us. We were well looked after by the staff who showed every appreciation of our visit. All of this makes to ensuring that it is a restaurant to which we shall be very happy to return for all the best reasons. John Bootes & Fernando Souza

We have dined at Quo Vadis several times and it seems to only get better. The food is excellent, the ambiance is perfect for conversation bd the service is spectacular. BRAVO!

I came here before going to Soho Theatre, and enjoyed a lovely crab bisque, followed by cured hake in a parsley sauce, which was (as warned beforehand) quite salty, but very delicate. Lovely services.

The menu was modern, with the usual suspects present - rabbit, goat, salsify, kale, grains and so on. And the food itself was very nice indeed. The big BUT was the total lack of atmosphere on a Saturday night just 3 weeks before Christmas. So disappointing. I confirmed during the booking process that it was my birthday, but clearly this was of no interest; I didn’t expect special treatment, but an acknowledgement is just good customer service...speaking of which, one of our main course orders didn’t make it to the kitchen, and subsequently arrived to the table 15 minutes later than the rest. While these things happen, it didn’t help the experience. Had the restaurant been buzzy and lively, it would have been easier to enjoy the wait?

Overall not a very positive experience. They had mixed up the reservation and then we had to wait quite a while before they were able to put a table together for us in the bar area. That put a damper in the evening especially since we were taking friends out.

Interesting if complicated menu, but food is very imaginative and the restaurant having been refurbed relatively recently and very nice if you are looking into the restaurant (not "so much" if you are staring at the Reception) Staff warm and friendly if a bit slow at times but was relaxing as a result would not risk a pre theatre schedule but i feel it will improve as the enthusiasm is real.

After having read good critics on various websites and in a number of magazines, this was a big disappointment. From over-illumination of the room (luckily lights were a bit dimmed during the second dish) and half dead flowers decorating entrance and room, to rather tasteless starters, mains and sides at the wrong temperature and on top of it an overly spiced and dry onglet. To be very fair: the floor manager very elegantly tried to save the situation, apologized sincerely, did not charge mains and sides and invited us to come back again and give it a second try.

Truly the most bizarre restaurant service I have ever had. Wait staff who you could barely understand, strange jokes, they didn't understand the menu and then said they knew the wine list well and then when asked about certain wines were quick to say that they didn't know about those specific ones - but could reccomended something. Errr? So I checked google instead for the tasting notes. Would ask if we were finished with a course and we would say 'yes' and then they walked away in the opposite direction. There was an Italian couple next to us who spoke no English and towards the end of the meal the lady couldn't stop laughing along with us, so I spoke to them in my poor Italian and they said 'the place is schizophrenic' and agreed we had a very Faulty Towers / Mr Bean kind of dining experience. The food is good but given the super quiet nature of the restaurant and bizarre service it is simply not worth the money. Go next door to the Spanish restaurant from the same owners called 'Barrafina'. Mssrs Hart - what a terrible and dissapointing experience at Quo Vadis. Awful, just awful. And totally hilarious. Don't go.

Had the great pleasure of dining pre-theatre several times during my week vacation. The service was superb and the food deliciously English including cod and cockles and smoked eel sandwich. Cannot wait to recommend this restaurant!

Excellent food, good service, nice ambience. Overall an excellent experience, which I've always had at Quo Vadis. Well located in the heart of Soho, a very up market dining experience, competitively priced. Wine a little pricey, but it's good stuff.

Our second visit after a most enjoyable first, back in June before refurb, and was interested to compare. Can report that in our opinion the standard was still high, tho reduced dining area meant less of the busy buzz we enjoyed pre-refurb. Food quality tho remains excellent, with fun relaxed service adding to the experience. Look forward to returning soon.

Went to Quo Vadim about 20yrs ago when it was owned by Marco Pierre White. It was good then, and it hasn't lost that feeling of being somewhere special to go. Jeremy's menu is varied without being overly complicated. Just good food, with good ingredients, cooked beautifully. Thoroughly enjoyed our recent visit and would recommend as a great place to go. A fine dining experience! 👍

Really don't like leaving less than sparkly reviews, but Quo Vadis disappointed us greatly. A few years ago we had been to a fabulous wine tasting evening in the private room upstairs, and based on that great experience we decided to dine downstairs last Saturday, prior to going to see a play at the Soho Theatre next door. I don't want to go on to much, but in a nutshell - the service was friendly but really not attentive enough and the waitress had no knowledge of the menu- she kept having to go off and ask. The menu itself was so small and just odd really. That's the only way I can describe it. Nothing exciting on offer and only really one dish I liked the look of. When it arrived it wasn't great to be honest. My husband was v disappointed with his pie too- which wasn't a pie -it was basically stew in a bowl with a lid of pastry. No ambience at all, and our table was so close to the next one that serving staff had to keep leaning over my husband to deliver food and drink. Not good. Sadly, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone, although I would still recommend going to a function upstairs. This they do very well.
