Why they're an Icon

From the OpenTable editors: If Quixote feels like a house of worship, it’s no accident. The cavernous restaurant was built from a deconstructed Mexican church, as hinted at by its Santa Maria candles and pulpit-turned-bar. Chef José Cepeda serves riffs on his family favorites spotlighting heirloom grains, masa, and his specialty, moles.

Table was not ready upon arrival for 6pm reservation. Had to wait an additional 20 minutes. Food was great, plates were very small. Atmosphere was spectacular. Waitress was kind

The ambiance was exceptional and the service was kind, personable and the food was deeply satisfying, beautifully plated and perfectly executed. This was the best lamb dish I have ever had.

The food and service were great, but I couldn’t really enjoy it because the restaurant is way too dark. I couldn’t see the food I was eating. If I’m having ribs, I kinda want to see if I’m biting into meat, fat or gristle. Fortunately, the ribs were delicious. I understand what ambience they are going for, but I’d suggest increasing the light by 5 or 10 %. It will still be dim, but diners may actually see the delightful food.

The restaurant is gorgeous, I love the gothic aesthetic, but that all it has going for it. The service was poor, they weren’t attentive or forthcoming about some of the food we ordered. The only food that was good was the shrimp tacos, but everything was so expensive and frankly not worth it. This place is good to go to for a drink and the aesthetic but that’s it

We had wonderful lunch! The shrimp tacos were flavorful, good texture for corn tortilla, the salsa for the tacos is like a macha overall thoughtful balance of savory, salty, good acid. The queso fondue (fundido) also gorgeous flavors, the char of the cheese, the truffle is used measurably and the chorizo adds wonderful depth, it might kill your appetite if you are planning an entree be sure to share it! We had a sirloin beautiful quality of meat, great texture and not overly seasoned. The grilled avocados, onions and salsa molcajete were great, not performative but supported the meal. Will come back, also felt melancholy finishing the meal knowing it was going to be over (good sign)

Amazing experience and would definitely come back! Our server was Roxanne and she took care of us the entire night. Our waters were always full and our table was kept tidy. We celebrated my best friends birthday here and the whole staff was just so accommodating. Food quality was 10/10 and the ambiance exceeded all expectations. Definitely an unforgettable night!
