We had such a wonderful experience at this restaurant! Our waitress, Toni, was absolutely amazing, sweet, took her time explaining the menu to us, and made us feel really welcomed. We also found out she's a poet and author, which was such a cool and inspiring detail to learn during our visit. She truly made the experience feel personal and special. The general manager even surprised us with a complimentary appetizer since it was our first time dining here which was such a thoughtful touch! And the food? 10/10 across the board. Everything was delicious. Great service, great energy, and great food. We'll definitely be back when in VA Beach again!

If you like upscale Mexican this is your place. Somewhat limited options for vegetarians. Enjoyed our visit but not on a regular basis. Seems like the bar is very popular.

Most menu items include jalapeños and/or cilantro and I dislike them! The smash burger was delicious!

The REQUIREMENT for valet parking is ridiculous! I personally do not like others driving my car, particularly kids. The restaurant decor is beautiful, stunning even for Virginia Beach. The food is rather ordinary. Our party of 6 sat in the lounge area (sofas and chairs) during happy hour; it was a nice setting. The service was not attentive at all - I’m guessing our server had other tables in other areas of the restaurant and kind of lost track of us several times. Overall I would say 2 or 3 stars: pros are the ambience and the drinks; cons are the parking, the food, and the service.

We had a wonderful meal and sevice at Quemar! We enjoyed the lounge and atmosphere as well!!! The food is the absolute freshest!

What an incredible dining experience! Every morsel was cooked to perfection and ambience was chill and fun. Even with the DJ playing we were able to comfortably chat. We will be returning next time we are in town!

We arrived at 5 to take advantage of some of the happy hour menu items. Our server was very nice and helpful. We received a complimentary amusement Bouche since some of the family’s first visit. While the food was delicious and flavorful, there was a snafu in the kitchen regarding one of the meals on the specials menu. My daughter ordered the scallop and shrimp special but received her meal way after the rest of us finished ours. I heard the waitress tell other patrons that they ran of our scallops. But we had to flag her down to find out what happened to our order. She said they’re working on the plate and that we would get the last one available. The manager brought out the meal. My daughter was happy she got her plate but I think there’s should have been some compensation or something else offered at least for the wait. My daughter is only 10 yo and she was being very patient, whereas I could see myself getting hangry if it was me. Overall we enjoyed our meal, complete with apps and desserts. We spent a quite a lot on dinner, the only happy hour items we ended up getting were one drink and my son’s dinner. We could’ve at least gotten an offer of one of the desserts comp’d for the inconvenience.
