The place is very nice on the inside, with a great marble bar and open fire oven/rotisserie. The environment is great and very comfortable. The food is ok. Nice fresh cheese and herbs, but the lamb skewer wasn't seasoned and was overcooked unfortunately. The cocktails were not great - really tasted like mixer instead of spirits. This place is also quite expensive for unremarkable food/drinks - two plates and a few cocktails was already $100+. Overall a decent place but not somewhere I'll be looking to go back to.
It was great! Got the gnocchi and lobster risotto and it was super tasty! Lovely ambiance, super calm and relaxing .
Bad service. Overpriced. Meatballs were cold.
Classic simple perfect - great wine list and wood-grilled food
Small, cozy environment. Excellent food that was priced appropriately. Would definitely return.
A usual ‘spot on’ place for a few years that we’ve been going there, but left disappointed. The service was good, friendly and attentive. We shared a pizza and some shrimp scampi as appetizers which were both very good. I ordered my usual Chicken parm which was as I remembered but the side pasta was drenched in sauce. I did ask for another side that came quickly and as it should have the first time. My real issue was when I went into the men’s bathroom, and it was very and tidy. Someone from the kitchen left a rag on the vanity that had tomato sauce all over it, the tissues were out and just not at all a good reflection on the restaurant. I hope they improve the attention to detail next time, seems like it is slipping a little.
We went to the North End looking for a modern Italian restaurant with great food. The interior is bright and clean but cozy. I spent the entire evening with some guy's back right up against my side of the table. There is a big fire with a spit and the bar is right in front of it. It makes for a dramatic setting. There must be about 10 tables in the whole place. The appetizers were really good (calamari and Octopus salad) and our wine was fine. The roast chicken was a little on the bland side and my pasta amatriciana was good but not fabulous. My daughter had the pizza and I think people go to Quattro for the pizza.
We were in town from California and chose to eat at Quattro one night spontaneously. It was so good, so enjoyable, we came back via a reservation, for our last night in town. We had the same server who was terrific as well.
Food was delicious, wine was good, the atmosphere lively.
This place is so cozy - love the warmth from the pizza oven. A great option for excellent pizza in the North End. It's a little pricey for appetizers, but enjoyed splitting a couple things with friends. The sangria is strong!
Food was yummy but typical fare for the neighborhood. Service was just ok. Server was very rushed.
really fun lively atmosphere, excellent food and service
This place was incredible! We absolutely loved the fig and goat cheese pizza and the waitstaff was friendly. I am glad we made a reservation because it definitely gets popular on the weekends.
Quattro was good, but no great shakes. It was extremely loud and crowded, which is to be expected on a Saturday night. The risotto was only ok
See private review that was sent to the restaurant.
We always go to Quattro before a TD Garden event. Need reservations as it is small. We usually start with eggplant apetizer. I like their margarita pizza. My husband thinks it is too soupy. He loved the ham & cheese calzone. Great lively atmosphere with open windows.
I have been going to Quattro for over 1.5 years....The food is authenticaly italian and was recommended to my by two close italian friends...My favorite dish is the Veal Scallopine...the veal when cooked in extra virgin olive oil is especially scrumptious...and those attatched pieces of proscuito are to die for....the meal comes with a great selection of healthy vegetables , sweet potatoes and ordinary potatoes....a repast fit for Marcus Aurelius!....Bon Apetit!
Below par food.
Service was ok, food was ok. There are many better restaurants within throwing distance.
We had a great meal and a great time - my sisters and I. Would definitely return! OH - and the service was great too!
Last minute open table reservation went through without a hitch. Seated promptly. Took a while for waiter to come over. When he finally did, he was friendly. Ordered Caesar Salad, Meatballs, and pizza. The salad and meatballs were excellent. No crumb left behind. The pizza had a very good taste, but the dough was soggy and all of the cheese came off with the first bite, leaving just the soggy dough. Waiter seemed distracted. We would definitely try again, just hope the pizza toppings stay on the pizza next time.
Bus boy was waiter. Didn’t know how to poor wine. Food is good and good price
Food and service was great! Hands down some of the best pizza I’ve ever had.
We were visiting Boston and found this place through reviews. Great prices and hearty portion sizes. Good variety between wood-grilled pizzas, pastas, and some full meals. Small, but cozy feel. We went around 8pm for dinner and it felt less crowded by the time we were done. Close to great pastry shops for a quick walk after dinner!
The pizza at Quattro was amazing! The restaurant is small and cozy.
Never brought us bread even after asking twice. I know it’s a small thing, but I think small things should be the least you can get when you pay a lot for a meal.
Table location was great- got a great view of bustling Hanover street.
Celebrating someone in town. And a birthday
It was a Sunday of a feast, the waiters seemed tired and a bit over it all. Our order got confused, but they nicely fixed it and we enjoyed our meal. The streets outside were packed and a child was playing w a squeaky toy for about 20 mins. Something the restaurant couldn’t control, but put a damper on our experience.
It was my 7th anniversary with my girlfriend and the restaurant was amazing. The food was really good and the waiter was very attentive and helpful in explaining the menu options. My girlfriend and I had a great time and we will definitely be coming back again and telling friends and family about our experience at Quattro. Thank you!
Absolutely horrible service, would never go back for that reason alone.
He food and wine we're overpriced and the stuff was very unfriendly
Great for dates, great for family. Can’t go wrong here.
We had a reservation for our anniversary, but after about 20 min there was a big party still eating and there were no open tables. The hostess offered us two seats st the bar, which was fine with us. The food was delicious and the bartender was great. We had tuna tartare as an appetizer and it was very good and a surprisingly large portion. I had pizza and my husband had pasta, they were both very tasty. It was a nice, lively atmosphere with windows open to the sights and sounds of the north end on a beautiful summer night.
Great location. Very tight tables, but that adds to the lively ambiance. Pizza was good as was service. AC was not on or working, so it was very hot in the restaurant.
Area was crazy. Hostess had no idea how to manage reservations with walk ups. She ended up giving our table away to a walk up and she told us she didn't have a table even with the OpenTable reservation. Will absolutely never return.
Always a pleasure to sit at the bar and look at the staff enjoying their work and cooking amazing meals.
Very enjoyable dinner and great service. We loved the neighborhood and Quattro was a great choice for dinner.
I am pretty easy to impress, especially when it comes to pasta and pizza, and I cut busy restaurants a ton of slack, but our server barely spoke to us, the food was all under-seasoned (the tartar was an abomination) and the guys behind us were so close to us and wore so much cologne that all of our food tasted like Axe body spray. Avoid at all costs.
They cancelled our reservation when we were there early & had dinner at the place!
