Great service & food. Beautiful interior.
The cuisine is dinstinctive, every ingredient adds to the depth of flavor, exceptional in every way.
Amazing ambiance, drinks, and dinner. Would certainly come back.
We loved the food! Hands down the best Indian food I’ve had in DC. This restaurant is on par with Michelin star Indian restaurants. Very creative and delicious dishes. Beautiful and unique decorations. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. We will be back!
Dining at Punjab Grill is truly an experience. The incredibly warm service is greeted by an incredible sexy decor: every aspect of the restaurant was handmade and imported from India and the care and attention to detail shows. After being seated, be blown away by the meal... whether veg or non-veg, you will enjoy it. Call ahead and let the staff help you plan your birthday and anniversary, and depart with phenomenal memories. We have.
Been there many time before and love the place and food.. for valentines it was a little disappointing because of the limited menu and not what we were expecting.. our other experience were amazing.. lesson learn going there is great but not on valentine
Great food for any occasion....
Great food, great service, beautiful surroundings but very loud
Punjab Grill is a dinning experience. The evening is choreographed by a team of waiters that are knowledgeable and service oriented set in a dinning room that is inviting, comfortable and exquisitely appointed. The food was delicious and the portions perfect to satisfy our appetite. We experienced Indian dishes that we had never tried before and we enjoyed everything we tried. What a beautiful meal in a beautiful restaurant. It was more than a meal, it was an experience.
Not a typical Indian restaurant, but more on the trendy, fusion side. Very tasty, would not say outstanding. Very expensive.
Great food, interesting flavors, all of which work really well! Service leaves you underwhelmed - if the naan bread is not delivered to your table on time, it's not longer a pleasant food item to consume. At one point the server insinuated that I had stolen their napkin ring by very sternly asking me "where is your napkin ring", to which I said your colleague already cleared it. Definitely not paying those high prices to walk out with cheap napkin rings. Management should take note.
Amazing Indian food with modern twists. It is expensive but you get the level of service you're paying for - plate/utensil swaps between every course, attentive refills, etc. There always seems to be some open tables but its always busy and seems designed more for the upscale crowd. Feels comparable to Rasika.
Recommended by locals. Excellent all-around.
Amazing! Enjoy every single aspect of our romantic dinner. From the decor, to the drinks, to the delicious food. It was outstanding.
Awesome food, great service, cocktails are amazing, food presentation is a visual treat.
Everything was superb except one thing. The waiter told us about the specialty of the house - the duck - and encouraged us to order quickly, as there was a limited supply. We assumed that it was priced similarly to most things on the menu. In fact, that little duck was $150 - a rip off. If the waiter had told us the price, we would not have ordered it.
Mykal was the best and explained everything to us.
It was magnificent
Excellent service !!
Heard a lot of good things about Punjab Grill, so I was expecting a lot. They delivered and more! The Rarha Lamb (lamb shank) was so tender that it fell off the bone. I wouldn't have thought to pair it with mincemeat curry, but the two complemented each other well. And the Malabar Machhi (Chilean sea bass) was hearty and so tasty with the sauce. And it turns out this is one of the few places in town where I can get a Vesper martini! We will definitely be going back.
Genuine good Mughlai food that was very good however the entrees were small especially considering the price point.
Amazing food and experience, I would recommend this place for any special occasion or fancy date night.
Great experience overall, would have preferred a few more vegetarian choices on the menu.
Great personal service, everyone was very friendly and knowledgeable. The meals were delicious and unique. The restaurant is upscale and the prices reflected that.
Mykel is awesome
We really enjoyed our first dinner at Punjab Grill. The menu is unusual, the preparation was excellent, the service was impeccable, and the meal was delicious.
The cocktails were awesome and dinner was even better. Perfectly seasoned and creatively prepared. Great service, too!
Good deal for restaurant week.
AMAZING food, great ambiance, good service. Karan (the owner) came to our table and introduced himself to us (and others in the restaurant as well) and he was absolutely lovely.
Great experience. Service was exceptional, cocktails were perfect, and the food was outstanding.
I have been several times, and everything about this place does not disappoint!
Four of us went to brunch during Restaurant Week. The food was fabulous, particularly the chaat, the cashew paneer (worth the surcharge),
And the perfect chocolate dessert.
But the service was disappointing. The staff appeared overwhelmed by the number of guests
(All of whom had reservations). Once seated, we finally flagged someone to take our order, and our food arrived well after other patrons’ dishes who were seated after us. Although we appreciate not being rushed, we felt ignored instead. Still, it was quite a bargain for RW.
We went for restaurant week on Saturday night. We were told that this prix fix menu was not being offered. Whole reason we went, so we were a bit bummed. However, we decided to stay and enjoy the food and drinks at regular price. Glad we did! Everything was amazing! Will definitely go back.
Try the potato with crispy kale, Brussel sprouts and yogurt cream...oh, and the paneer cheesecake - to die for!
very elegant restaurant. food is whimsical and awesome. service was slow but very polite.
Highly recommend specially if you are in a mood to splurge
All three courses of our restaurant week menu were delicious, generous without being heavy, and presented beautifully. Second only to the food was the service from the moment we entered the handsome and calm environment of the restaurant. Highly recommend and we shall return.
Some of the best food ever.
This place was great and exceeded my expectations. Since we went for restaurant week, we had the 3 courses and thought presentation was nice and it’s just the right bit of spicy. The owner even came out to talk to us, so definitely would recommend.
