This was the best meal we had in Mexico! With months of anticipation, the experience did not disappoint! My wife had the Mar and I had the Maize tasting menu, they were fantastic!
Elevated street food, made me nostalgic for some authentic Mexican dishes I have had around the country. Everything was perfectly plated, seasoned and presented. A first class experience...
Our waiter, Alberto, was a delight. We had an amazing meal and even better experience. Muchas gracias!
The food was delicious and beautiful. Highly recommend.
Quite expensive for 7 courses, the staff didnt explain many of our meals, felt rushed & disorganised. We had big expections & were disappointed
Amazing food, fantastic service. The cost though is a bit over the top! Surely water and coffee could be included???
Excesivo. Demerita.
Some mistakes when serving but otherwise great!
Excellent food, very attentive service, great overall experience.
Nice location and pleasant staff. Some dishes were good, however, the flavors were underwhelming. We also found ourselves waiting for our dishes to be explained. Lastly, we were offered house or club soda, to then realize the club soda wasn’t on the house after multiple bottles.
I have had other 5 star luxury restaurants with more in depth flavors and quality service. I wouldn’t return
I would also let customers know that the whole experience will 3.5 -4 hours.
Excellent restaurant. However given its reputation our expectations were probably too high. The food was superb but for the very high price we felt we had eaten as well occasionally at other places for a fraction of the price. Also the waiters were very attentive but almost too much. We deliberately slowed down to slow them down. We felt somewhat pushed. We were also seated in the least lively and interesting part of the restaurant. If you’re very rich, go, you’ll have fun. If going represents a ‘sacrifice’ don’t, it’s not really worth it.
This restaurant is a destination in and of itself for a reason and we planned a trip to Mexico City with enough notice to secure a reservation. The space is beautiful. It elevates the overall experience. The food lived up to our expectations. Our service unfortunately did not. While we appreciate that dining in such a restaurant should not be rushed and you shouldn’t feel that you are, you likewise shouldn’t feel that the service is lacking. We did. There were several times throughout the night we felt our server was not attentive and we languished while other tables of same or even larger parties were better attended to and despite being seated later and ordering at the same time we finished sooner. We had hoped to have enough time to enjoy a cocktail on the patio after dinner, but given the longer lapses between courses were unable before having to be in Roma at 9:30. Our reservation was at 6:15. I would inevitably return and try the taco menu, but hope for the service a restaurant like Pujol strives for next time.
What a wonderful experience! The food was impeccable, highly recommend the more traditional vegetarian menu. The truffle dish and tlayduda were delicious and service was attentive.
This restaurant hits all the marks for food, service, ambiance, and an all together unforgettable dining experience. Be sure to book early and don't forget to book a tour of the kitchen and gardens following your meal. Enjoy.
For evening it is too dark. I could not see my food.
Awesome! Quality of ingredients and dishes are extraordinary. Waiter/Waitresss are always pending on your beverages and needs and explain every dish with detail. Congrats!
Best meal we had in Mexico City. Delicious, inventive, great service and lovely surroundings.
Amazing and beautiful
Delicious food with a number of surprising elements that make it unique. Excellent service and elegant but festive ambience completed the experience.
Service was not what we would expect from such a place. There was no dedicated waiter to our table. Instead, Within the first ten minutes of us being seated we had 4 Or 5 different people asking about allergies, if we wanted to order drinks (we had already, which I believe one can see in the system) etc. This made us feel confused and uneasy to start. There was no personal touch to the service just an explanation of the food. If there were questions out of curiosity regarding cooking etc, service wouldn’t know the answers and weren’t proactive to look up the answers. Later in the lunch, when things had quieted down, there were all of a sudden no one noticing when we wanted to order more drinks. We had to ask multiple people. For having so many waiting staff in the place we wonder why it isn’t the case that there is one dedicated waiter per table, knowing the rhythm of the guests, who can suggest drink pairing and so on. Perhaps it’s the style of the restaurant, but was not meeting the expectations we had of the place
Disappointed nothing great in seafood and maize was ok
Couldn’t see the food lights too low service mechanical
We had an amazing time. The food was superb. We enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for the great service and special attention.
Excelente calidad de los alimentos. Servicio MUY lento para traer la comida
It was a wonderful experience. The restaurant is understatedly zen and inviting. The hostess met us at the door and seated us immediately. The service was flawless and unobtrusive...so beautifully effortless it felt like ballet. And then the food! Each course was more exciting than the last. My dinner companion and I had the Maize and the Mar tasting menus respectively and shared so we could taste it all. The wine list was impeccable. All in all a delightful evening.
We have wanted to taste the menu of Pujol since 2016, so it was a dream to finally have this experience! The food was complex and rich, but never over-bearing in flavour. It was a particularly special night as we were celebrating our anniversary and the mole madre was almost the exact number of days of our relationship. The staff made our stay extra special with some celebratory desert, and they helped explain each dish in full detail. It was an incredible experience.
Food was amazing and service brilliant until we got to the last part of the menu and moved outside to the terrace it was faultless service. Once outside we were left to freeze - staff were more concerned with packing up and getting ready for the dinner service - we were basically ignored. Very sad end to an amazing lunch. After paying exorbitant prices for food in Mexico City it should have been faultless from start to end.
Food, cocktails, champagne were all perfect. Just that service at the end really let it down.
amazing concept, the progression of the tasting and the two options were great. Felicidades al chef y su equipo!
2nd time back to Pujol, excellent service, excellent food and incredible value for what you're getting for a world famous tasting course. Will be back for a 3rd time for sure! I tried the new "sea food" tasting menu was excellent especially the soft sea bass.
Absolutely amazing experience from start to finish. The flavors and ambiance were both amazing. At the end of the meal, they took us to the courtyard for dessert, which was lovely. Definitely recommend!
Having been to many high end restaurants around the world (Dallas, NYC, Paris, London, Tokyo) I think it is always important to understand how the restaurant's food syncs to its location. I found the food at Pujol excellent as it had a nice mix of Mexico cuisine. Both my wife and I had the Sea seven course tasting and enjoyed all the servings except the mole. In general we just are not mole fans so nothing against the restaurant on that. With regard to the restaurant location it is in a very nice area surrounded by apartments and high end retail establishments. The ambiance and service were outstanding and it was just a great night all around. From a price perspective it will cost you roughly $130 USD per person for the tasting menu plus the cost of drinks. The drink menu is a little high so just be prepared for that. Go and enjoy this great establishment.
