Really enjoyed my reservation here! So clean and aesthetic
We found Puesto only because so many other places are still closed/take-out only due to SiP. We wish we would have found Puesto sooner!
Our guacamole, tacos, and drinks were all delicious! They have a lovely large patio for outdoor dining and the tables are well-spaced to accommodate social distancing. Our server, Mimi, could not have been nicer!
From peering inside, we also saw a beautiful bar, but that's closed to the public for now.
1st time out of SIP to a sit down meal. Tables & Guests were spaced out. Staff were friendly and attentive. I've always had the tacos the 2 times I was here, this time I had the Grilled shrimp bowl and it was delicious. I cant wait to go back and have it again with Yoga Pants! Not what I'll be wearing but the name of the drink!
Super cute place. Tasty food and excellent customer service. Thank you ! Definitely coming back !
Yummy margs and tacos!! The workers were so kind.
Also note it’s very clean so do be afraid to eat out :)!!!
Really unique dishes and drinks in a very cool environment.
I've visited twice and have nothing but good things to say about Puesto. The interior is stunning, the range of tequilas and tequla cocktails is amazing. The food is excellent, fresh and flavorful. The staff is super friendly and attentive.
Vibe is super fun but not silly. Visually fun and chill despite being a huge space. Our waiter Manny was just so nice and helpful.
I hope Puesto can sustain and thrive! What a super addition to restaurant-bereft Santa Clara.
this place was not a typical Mexican restaurant. the menu was small we had ordered tacos they were very yummy. was kind of nervous to eat the shrimp taco I got so saved that one for last but it was actually very good I was shocked glad I tried it out!
Good food and loved the atmosphere, great place for gathering.
It took at least 15ish minute for a server to great us and at least 20 minutes to receive our next round of drinks after they were ordered. I was very underwhelmed by the taco selection and the margaritas were not mixed well:/
Can’t say I’ll be returning back to puesto
Pricey for the quality of food.
The ambience was good but the tacos were just ok. The wrap around the taco made it hard to distinguish between them. Yeah service was slow and we had to wait 15-20 mins despite a reservation with no apology.
I just wasn’t very impressed with the flavor
Reservations made in advance, with plenty of options. Arrived early. Was told they're setting up my table. Went and checked after my reservation time had passed and was told for the first time that half the group has to be here. No mention of that anywhere on website or when making reservation. Hostess station unfriendly. Will never come back here. Not recommended.
Update: was finally seated (there were plenty of open tables, so they could've made a lot of money on drinks had they sat me; instead, they're getting this bad review). The wholly incompetent hostesses gave us 5 lunch menus and 1 dinner menu. We were there for dinner. Except for the waiter (who was unknowledgeable about the menu but was very charismatic), the food and drinks were fine, but definitely not enough to overcome the complete lack of customer service. Also, don't expect to be able to park in the parking lot; there aren't enough spots. 2 stars due to the charismatic waiter, and that's being generous.
Dot eat all day so you can eat each and every taco!
Chipotle tastes better. Gauc was just mashed avocado and salsas we heavy on vinegar- very very sour.
I got the 3 tacos for dinner, Shrimp Adobada taco (very good), Filet Mignon was good meat flavor with a crispy cheese but had one very tin piece of avocado and that's it, and then the Carnitas was the driest I ever had at any mexican restaurant. No rice, no beans and $23 for 3 tacos. $13 for mini margs, no thanks, won't be back.
Mentioned in note—ahead of time—that we were celebrating my husband’s bday & that my daughter had a peanut allergy. Server made no mention of either.
Food—imbalances flavors. Seated in what felt like a lobby—not in main restaurant room. Uncomfortably cool.
Never disappointed and the service is exceptional regardless of the volume of guests.
This was my first time at Puesto's Restaurant. I was very impressed with the food and appreciated the ambiance. I would highly recommend and I'm looking forward to going back.
Food and service were great. Just had an incident with a booking manager beforehand that was really stressful, then a small problem after that was for the most part, rectified
Good food drinks and service nice place very clean
The tacos is not hot
It was pretty loud and ‘commonplace’. I’d expected a nicer upscale place, I suppose. The drinks are great, food decent. The bar is the best part of the restaurant.
Pretty much B- to C+ cuisine. Cocktails taste like they are premixed with artificial ingredients--had to switch to beer for something more authentic. $20 for three tacos seems a bit excessive, although the octopus taco was tasty. I'd recommend Zona Rosa for a more elevated experience where you're not paying for the psuedo-garage door ambience of Puesto (i.e., ambitious capital investment in a shopping mall location).
It’s always a great time at Puesto! Food is Delish and Drinks are awaking!!
Small, but tasty menu. Great service inside. Terrible front desk service
15 min wait with reservation. Amazing food. Good drinks. Disappointed the happy hour and taco Tuesday is only for 3 hours (3pm-6pm)
I recommend going on Tuesdays for the taco deal. Parking is not the greatest but they do have valet parking ($7).
Too spicy, very small portions for the $$.
Very interesting tacos, enjoyed the shrimp taco and the carnitas taco.
Everything about this place was excellent food, service, ambiance. Can’t wait to go again. We had a party of 4 the drinks and laughs were flowing the food just got better and better with every round we ordered.
I was visiting from out of town and met up with a friend. The food was delicious, but a bit pricey. The service was fair and the front door was blocked open when we got there and the breeze coming in from outside made it a little chilly. I would go back again and would recommend this restaurant to others.
Great customer service. Felt welcomed for my first time going. Food and drinks were great
Food was great, ambiance was great.... the service was not great.
the Hosts at the front desk ignored us for about 10 minutes - when they finally asked if they could help us, no smile, just mad-dogging looks... i smiled and said hello! so rude... the waitress was slow.. food was great... the waitress brought us a free dessert for my husband birthday which was SO NICE but the cake had a strong alcohol flavor and the table had 2 non-alcohol SOBER people (one of which was the birthday boy) he couldn't eat the cake, such a bummer! An option would have been so nice. I am gluten free and i couldn't try it either but it wasn't about me.
Took a long time to get the food. Food came out like warm. We asked the waiter to check on our food a few times.
I’ve never been to this place but the food looked good on the images posted by the restaurant. We decided to really give it a go and try as many dishes as we could. Out of the 4 appetizers the chicharrones were pleasant. Out of the 6 different types of tacos the only one that was somewhat authentic and edible was the lamb taco as they tasted like a good birria. Never going back unfortunately. I could go into it in greater detail but It was too many things.
Service: they never really checked up on us if we wanted more drinks or anything. I was hoping to order two shots of don julio 1942 ($33each) but our waiter never came back until he felt we were ready for the check. Didn’t even ask if we wanted desert.
I really wanted to make this a new place to go to. I wanted to love it :(
Service was extremely disappointing beginning with the hostess and ending with our server. Order was not correct with delayed service. Our first experience at Puesto was so amazing but sadly, on this repeat visit, it was not the experience.
They wanted to seat us in an area by the kitchen that took away from the nice ambiance so they moved us to a back room with horrible lighting so we moved to a booth. The room’s lighting is horrible and saw other patrons complain about it. Also the the heaters were making the room too hot. Should rethink the setup. However, main dining room is really nice and good food as usual.
Though there were plenty of other seating areas available, at 4:45, the hostess sat us right next to a group of three very vocal young women, whose conversations were beyond loud. On Valentines Day we had hoped for much better.
Don’t order the Cesar salad as it was bland, lacking any “Cesar” taste. The red sangria tasted like soda water. The margarita was very good, however. We both enjoyed the tacos, two carnitas and one chicken. The carnitas were dry, but flavorful. The chicken was moist and delicious.
