Our go-to whenever we are in San Diego. You can’t go wrong with any of their elevated tacos and we love their esquite, classic guacamole, passion fruit agua frescas and margaritas.

While the food was good, it was also overpriced. I would only recommend going during their 50% off taco special. The Lobster and Short Rib tacos are definitely worth trying.

We’ve eaten at Puesto for years but I think today’s lunch might be the last time. The pricing feels predatory at worst and confusing at best. We (2 people) each had a non-alcoholic drink, two tacos, and shared guacamole appetizer. The restaurant charges a blanket 4% service charge and I tipped 18%. Lunch was $100 which is hard to justify given the amount of food. When we got the final receipt, there was a note on the bottom encouraging and calculating additional tip amounts in 1% increments. That’s a first and feels kind of insulting, especially given the automatic 4% surcharge which allegedly goes to employee wages and insurance. I don’t think we’ll be back. For $50pp, there are a lot of other options.

It was a busy weekend, so quite chaotic in the restaurant. That being said, besides two sides we ordered not being delivered, the food was very good. My tacos were especially delicious (the carnitas ones were the best). I didn't care for my husband's short ribs, but he liked them. The restaurant was pretty and had a great seating area outside.

We were a group of 12, some guest had never eaten at Puesto, but have had experienced eating authentic Mexican cuisine(like birria). They were very pleased with the entrees. The food is always delicious and the service was at another level. Our server was friendly, attentive and met the needs of every guest in our party. She even brought a dessert for our newly graduated Marine. Thank you Puesto staff for accommodating us and for the fantastic service!

Delicious margaritas and filet tacos. Nice outdoor environment with plenty of heaters to keep fairly warm too
