Great place! Have been going there for a while! Good option for a business lunch or a dinner date
Great service! Food was excellent and great to share.
Way to expensive for what you get. The food to price ratio is not good. $19 for 3 basic tacos is a bit high. And if you want anything more glamorous than carnitas, it will cost you an extra dollar here or there. The ambiance is nice, but it's not right on the water. It's just hard to recommend.
Awesome service by Jason
Puesto has a great indoor/outdoor space. The food is tasty and fresh. We especially liked their salsas caseras, potato tacos and the salpicon. The restaurant has a smooth and balanced margarita- perfect amount of citrus and tequila.
Service felt rushed
My wife and I had a great time, the food was delicious and the service was superb. Luther our server was excellent and West the manager made us feel very welcome. We plan to return and tell our family and friends about the great time we had at Puestos. The best Mexican food in San Diego.
Delicious and excellent service!
Food was incredible, flavor, presentation and portion size were all spot on.
Wes the manager was amazing along with the rest of the staff. Food was awesome. Best tacos in SD! Can’t wait to go back!
Great place for authentic tacos with great quality ingredients and good ambience to dine with family or even a lunch meeting. It can be a little pricey, but the tacos are well worth it.
Very pleasantly surprised as to the quality and taste of our meal. All 5 of us were extremely satisfied about our choices.
Dined at Puesto on many occasions and have enjoyed our food immensely, however this time our tacos were sitting in oil. Not the usual. Maybe the regular guy had the day off.
Food was delicious. We each had three tacos of different flavors. The steak and pork were great. Black beans as well. Only issue was that they were out of 5 different draft beers the night we were there.
Service was pleasant but bit slow.
I was in town for a conference. Ate dinner here twice. Best tacos I’ve had.
I was disappointed in my evening at Puesto for taco Tuesday. I thought the meat tacos were overcooked and dry, the margarita was not particularly flavorful, and I felt the waitresses were trying to upsell constantly which I found very annoying. Disappointing as this is a local restaurant for me.
The food was amazing as ever! However, I noticed the prices went up significantly for my favorite tacos!
with all the restaurants in San Diego, and eclectic Mexican Food, I find it hard to recommend Puesto at the Headquarters. I chose it due our daughter's vegetarian preference, but the menu is quite limited, crowd level is energetic (or loud) and with reservations, they placed us next to the bar/counter. The waitress was very nice, and I give her an A, while the ambiance, I would give it a C. Oh the Cadillac Margarita required a bit more lime juice, of which my husband asked for.
Love Puesto, just expensive for such small portions of food, but it’s very delicious! Great ambiance to bring people who are visiting or for a date night.
Great food! Make a reservation! Go on Tuesday for the taco Tuesday specials. Recommend the carnitas and the filet mignon tacos!
Nice ambiance outside at night with lanterns and fire pits. Murals are festive. Would like to see more appetizer options.
Margaritas were a bit too sweet. Food was good but just not quite as stand out as when they first opened. Bring the salmon tacos back please! All in all good night out. Don’t forget to validate parking!!!
Weston was the best server I’ve ever had. What a wonderful experience. Love Puesto.
Great food and atmosphere. Clients loved it!
Food was phenomenal! It was a little pricey for amount of food. I like the ambiance and service was great too.
Excellent service and tasty fusiony Mexican dishes. We are definitely going back!
Liked the location and the food. Filet mignon taco was our favorite. The drinks were good and fresh.
This restaurant came highly recommended by friends and, if I recall correctly, San Diego Magazine. I came with a friend from out of town hoping to provide her with a good Mexican food experience that was a little lighter fare than your hole-in-the-wall type of joint. The food was good, and our waitress was so patient, navigating between our catching up/conversation. However, while the food was good, the price was too high for what it was - 3 tacos for $19. The place was clearly a stopping point for all the conferences in the area, so our table near the bar was super loud, and it was hard to carry on a conversation. Additionally, it was a cold night, and people entering and exiting the restaurant kept leaving the doors open, so the restaurant was cold. It was warmer in the outdoor bar area with the warmers on. I would try again for happy hour maybe, depending on what the specials were.
The chili relleno was delicious! Would highly recommend.
Waiter was horrendous. Food was slow. Tasted decent. Gone downhill over the years.
Vibrant atmosphere, friendly service, and in a taco heaven like San Diego, quite possibly the best tacos in town. Creative flavors, fresh ingredients always. A little pricey for tacos but WELL WORTH IT. Just go!
Food was cold!!! When we put in our order - it took them 1 hour to get the food out to us! When we got the food it wasn’t even that great - the cheese on the tacos was hard ... wish I would have enjoyed that cheese when it was fresh and warm!
Made anniversary special with a nice dessert surprise at the end. Very good service. One plate of tacos was cold so food star reduced.
Everything we had was delicious!
Great service & ambiance. It was a little noisy but it was a Friday night so expected.
Been coming a while, always good service and ambiance, menu has removed great items and replaced with poor ones. Examples include the avocado marg, the cilantro marg, the grilled shrimp taco, taco of the month has gotten less creative also. Bring back the classics!
Excellent service, food, and atmosphere. Will return as always!
Restaurant week is the best deal! The guacamole is normally $10 or $11 by itself and with the 3 course for $15 you get a very decent portion size. Delicious!
