Celebrate Mother's Day with Trophy Tacos and Perfect Margaritas!

Wish we got seated quicker. Had a reservation, but had to wait about 30 min even though the hostess said they were “cleaning the table”. I understand it was taco tuesday and it’s very busy, but what was the point of making a reservation if it still took a long time to get seated. Then after we ordered it took almost 45min for food. Good tacos and will come back for them. Also, delicious frozen horchata.
I LOVE PUESTOS! It's my go-to for any visitors or any special occasions.
Tacos were incredible! Lots of variety and amazing taco tuesday deals
The hostesses and wait staff were great! The menu was fairly simple, great choice of unique tacos and tequila options. Will definitely return on my next visit to San Diego.
Server was not very attentive
Exploding with energy and flavor...if you love boutique Mexican, wait no longer for the very best. April's taco of the month, chile relleno is superb!
Have never had a bad meal at Puesto. Good guac, margaritas and tacos.
Awesome food and service!
3 tacos: chicken al pastor which was good, carnitas which was outstanding, filet mignon which was very good but for $7 not a good value. Chips were average. Salsa was very spicy almost too spicy.
Fun upbeat atmosphere, margaritas and tacos were fantastic!
I have tasted most of the food there and all have been good. From chips and guacamole to cheviche..Drinks are good too, most of the food goes with beer so is good that they have wine and margaritas.
Loved the vegetarian tacos and the fruit plate was delicious,
Wonderful as always. Easier to get a table here for lunch than at the Seaport.
Overrated. My friends were visiting from out of town and heard about Puesto having great margaritas, so we wanted to give it a try. The margarita was good, but nothing that you can’t get literally anywhere. It also took forever to get our food, close to an hour, if not longer. I’m not sure if he forgot to put our order in or what, but larger parties that came after us were getting their orders before us. The food wasn’t necessarily bad, but it was pretty bland. The atmosphere is cool, but it is pretty loud.. difficult to talk to the people you’re with. Overall, I wouldn’t go back.
It must be new cooks or managers, but the poor quality of food resulted in 3 go backs...
Service always top notch. Bring all of our out of town guests here. A walk through Seaport Village then a stop at Puesto is the protocol for Friday nights.
Totally mediocre. For example, the guacamole was totally bland and overripe. I’d just as soon eat at Rubio’s or Chipotle.
It was great food! Tacos are good as always as was the guacamole. But their menu started to fall apart. Sunday inventory of food was dismal. A lot of starters and ahareables were sold out at 7PM on a Sunday.
Great tacos, drinks and other entrees served in a lively indoor/outdoor atmosphere. Service was not so great though. Once our food was delivered to the table we didn't see our server again to until the check arrived. He never checked back to see how are food was nor to refill our drinks. Give the place a try though -- hopefully you'll get more attentive service than we did.
Specialty tacos are still the best. But it took a long time to deliver our margaritas, and it is always ridiculously cold in the dining room. Everyone was wearing coats. Why can’t you maintain a comfortable temperature for me to enjoy my delicious tacos?
Always a great time and great food.
Love the dog friendly patio
Disappointing service. Provided bill before giving dessert menu. Note the 3% surcharge added to bill to pay for staff.
Great food as always! Also great service! We love going here! 😋👍🏼
Lovely food and a great atmosphere, but Megan was the true highlight of the meal. Well done on excellent service and making us feel welcome!
This was my third visit. This time, I took my wife and daughter for a special dinner. They had run out of four dishes and it took our waiter 25 minutes to deliver an order of Guacamole. He said it was the kitchen’s fault. We didn’t buy it and it was downhill from there. He was clearly not an advocate for his customers that night. I did something I’ve not done in 10+ years - left zero gratuity.
Overall we had a good time. The main thing they serve are tacos, so if you're looking for other options you won't find much else. However, the lobster and mushroom tacos were really good. Get the Golden Aztec for dessert!
Atmosphere was very loud, I would recommend requesting a table in the back or upstairs. Good place for groups/happy hour.
While the food was fine for the most part, the kitchen was having some serious issues and we waited for nearly an hour for a simple taco order. We appreciated that the manager did comp our drinks and guacamole. He was very apologetic about the wait and assured us it’s not their usual way of doing business. The food was not as authentically Mexican as we would have liked, but some items, such as the filet mignon taco and the pollo verde taco were very tasty. Overall, not enough that we would be likely to return.
Glad we tried it. Probably would not return if back in the area. Agree that the tacos are pre-made (can’t hold the pico?), and agree that they are very good. You sort of get the idea that they want you to feel lucky to be there. Recommend trying. Tip to the restaurant, don’t deep fry the octopus.
Our food did not seem fresh. It had either been reheated or had been sitting out for a long time. The flavors were pretty bland and the portion sizes were small. It may have just been an off night. Our food was quite late so the waiter comped our guacamole order, which we really appreciated. Overall, it was a disappointing meal, especially for the price.
Excellent all around...service, food, location, and ambiance..

3rd time coming to Puesto, really enjoy visiting. great service and great food.
lover of tacos and they make some of the best.
the filet mignon is a great choice .
We love Puesto. The Parmesan guacamole is amazing. Brandon was a very good server. The tacos are the best!
Great food. Can’t beat the trio taco option. All are delicious. My favorite is with the Ahi tuna. Food is pretty spicy. Be sure you get the low down before you order. The guacamole is delish. Spicy margarita ok. Could be spicier for my taste. Definitely recommend eating at Puesto.
Puesto was a great choice for our weekly Taco Tuesday celebration! They offer $2.50 tacos (some require an upcharge) from 3-close. The spicy marg and Puesto perf marg were both delicious. We started with the classic guac which was great but the chips and salsa can stand on their own. The tinga de pollo taco of the month and chicken verde were spicier than expected but still great. I took a chance with the zucchini and cactus one and had no regrets! The service was a bit slow but understandably since the place was packed. It worked out as we got two bonus margs from it :). Highly recommend!
We had a reservation but they sat us outside on a chilly evening without asking our preference. It took forever to get our food. Food wasn’t anything great.
Restaurant advertises itself as serving "Mexican Street Food". Not even close. Real Mexican street food is simple, fresh & tasty. Food quality at Puesto is poor. Signature dish - tacos - are pre-prepared, and a compilation of ingredients, flavors & spices. The soft shell crab was inedible. Tasted of ammonia. To their credit, the restaurant credited the bill for the cost of the dish. Would not return.
Our server was great and the food was fresh, fun and interesting!
This was our first time to this restaurant and it didn’t disappoint. Great food and drinks.
Excellent spicy margaritas and the tacos were amazing. Even the chips and salsa were way above average. Service was prompt and friendly.
The food and drinks are amazing. Don’t miss the guacamole. We tried the sangria and margarita, both were perfect. We had a variety of tacos. They were all so good we could not pick a favorite.
