   We've been to Provision a few times over the years and our recent visit was sub par. Starting with the atmosphere, it was very quiet and less vibrant than before. It felt more like a hotel restaurant than a destination. Our server was great. He was attentive and there are no complaints. The food, however, was poor. My wife's steak was supposed to be cooked medium and it arrived well done. The cut of meat was also tough. Overall, the experience combined with the food (taste and prep) will likely cause us not to revisit.

   Prices are steep but worth the occasional special dinner. The staff provided excellent service, cocktails were superb and the food amazing! We will definitely eat here again.

   The restaurant looks nice, and the staff are excellent. However, the food was disappointing. An amuse-bouche deviled egg was served, and the egg was so poorly prepared that the egg white was hard and chewy. The dumpling share plate had nice sauce, but the dumpling pastry was chewy, tasting like the entire plate had been microwaved before being served. Similarly, the chicken had a great sauce but the chicken was bone dry, and the plate was steaming hot even after I was done eating. For all of these things, the recipe seemed right, but the execution was very poor.

   My husband and I actually ate here a few years ago the day we eloped, and being back in the area felt like the perfect excuse to revisit and celebrate our anniversary with friends. The whole table did the Chef’s tasting menu and everything was incredible. Food? Will be dreaming about it. Staff? Couldn’t have asked for better. Would definitely recommend!

   My wife’s birthday. I booked another trendy new Carmel restaurant and when we arrived we reali my mistake that the reservation was for Monday. Not being able to seat us for dinner I quickly booked another trendy new open slot at Provision. My mistake made for a great night and one of our best meals of late! And we’ve recently been in NYC, Chicago and Greece. The church shrimp was amazing. My wife snapper was flavorful and delicious. She ate every bite and I had the Seabass, which was also fantastic. Our cocktails were great. We ordered both off especially drinking. My wife had the cosmos and I had the old-fashioned lady with Anjeo. While pricey it is one of the best drinks I’ve ever had. Service from Josephine was great!
