An Exquisite experience. This was our 4th time dining here & it was The Best of all 4 wonderful dinners.
Welcome back Providence, better than ever.
Worth every penny. Would definitely go there again!
We had such a wonderful night! Thank you.
Food was good, parts were not.. Not the best meal I've had for the price coming to $700 for 2. I would not return but worth a 1 x visit.
Always such a delightful and special experience. White truffles? Why not!
It will cost two people about a grand for dinner with the wine pairing but it’s an experience you will never forget. Save up for it.
A wonderful dinner at Providence, just like dozens of times before. We've been twice since the post-Covid re-opening. Service is not bad, but it's just not as good as it used to be, pre-Covid.
We missed the bread and cheese service. I was hoping bread and cheese service would be coming back, but not yet. Hopefully it comes back soon.
Still one of our favorites and we will be back soon.
Some dishes were too salty, others were just okay - nothing exceptional. Overall experience was far less than Providence pre-pandemic.
As always the food and the service were exceptional! Always a great experience, and the creativity and beauty of the menu is simply amazing!
This restaurant just keeps getting better and better.
What an amazing culinary adventure! The food looked like art with a taste, variety and creativity that exceeded expectations. 4 friends had a late (915pm) reservation on a beautiful Thurs night in October 2021. We brought in a magnum of 2007 Ugo Lequio Barbaresco, a 2007 Altesino Montosoli Brunello di Montalcino and a 2001 Valdicava Brunello di Montalcino, none of which were on the wine the list. Sommelier and wait staff were great about us bringing the wine, although the corkage was STEEP (and thus, I had to knock off a star for value). If I were more of a local, better value in corkage would be a primary factor for me to come more regularly, but as it is, we were visiting from the Bay Area and I was doing restaurant reconnaissance ahead of Super Bowl LVI for a client event I am planning. We showed up on time and had to wait for our table for 15 mins in the lounge, but the staff was wonderful and offered us the private room and chef’s table, which had just freed up. Wow! What an experience enjoying amazing company, wine and food while overlooking a gorgeous kitchen and what a pleasure to watch the cooking staff create such masterpieces for the 8 course tasting menu. Highlights for me were the Maine lobster course, the chopped poached oyster with caviar, the poached black cod and the Miyazaki A5 Wagyu main course. Congratulations to Chef Michael Cimarusti and his team for having created such an incredible dining experience. Providence was new to me, but I know you have delivered for a long time, which is even more impressive. In the wake of other culinary geniuses having turned their restaurants vegan post-Covid, the magic of your seafood and meat dishes, complimented by perfectly-aged Italian wines, were deeply appreciated! Thank you to the friendly staff - you were warm and professional and this made such a difference.
Outstanding in every way, among the best meals I've ever had!
Great service with wonderful ambiance and I had such a good time with my girlfriend. Highly recommend for a special occasion!
Last time was 2019 12/31 New Year’s Eve
and then COVID outbreaks
This is first time back after Covid
I think the food was better before
I have been to providence once every year or twice since 2014
Well the service is excellent
Provide the finger food while we were waiting in the lounge
Service is five stars!!
I think food was better before 2014 - 2017
Everyone must come here once in a lifetime. We waited and decided to come for our 10th anniversary. It was worth the wait and everything we expected it to be. Something we will remember for the rest of our lives. And yes, we did the wine pairing, which completely elevated the experience.
Eating at Providence was the highlight of our weekend. I love the creativity of the food, the attention to beautiful plating and the overall experience.
The tasting menu takes you on an adventure of seafood unlike any other I've had. I love tasting menus and this one did not disappoint. Caviar and oyster, sashimi with heirloom tomatoes, a small bite of lobster, crab and uni, and lovely black cod. The main you have option of salmon, duck, or wagyu beef. One of us chose duck, the other wagyu beef. Both were delicious. The bread is the best! Made with heirloom wheat grown in the mountains of Tehachapi, the whole grain bread served warm with butter is hard to match.
We did the premium wine pairing. I don't think we'd do that one again - it was nice, but there was no information on what the pairing wines were (as in a tasting wine list) except when it was brought to the table. There weren't any descriptions of the 'notes' of the wine and why they paired well with a specific dish, just told the name of the wine and type.
We love the service with details of each dish explained.
All hail Tim!
The absolute most incredible restaurant in Los Angeles! Well deserving of the 2 Michelin Stars, Chef is doing everything right and the staff, restaurant, food, and entire experience is worth the trip alone, a MUST DINE if coming this way!
Thank you Chef for an incredible evening!
We have been regular customers at Providence over the years. After a long hiatus because of COVID we came back to have an outstanding meal. Cimarusti and his staff have taken their restaurant to another level. The thoughtfulness of the progression of the tasting menu was delightful, and each course seemed even better than the previous one. Than you for an outstanding experience.
Fabulous service, unbelievable food, made us feel very special and safe after not dining out for years now!
Was disappointed with both service and food.
The food and service at Providence are unparalleled in Los Angeles. The inventiveness and thoughtfulness behind the different courses and the civilized pace of their presentation make for a thoroughly satisfying fine dining experience without a hint of the stuffiness that sometimes characterizes other restaurants. The different combinations of ingredients and flavors are quite successful without being too fussy and make each dish something to savor. We always enjoy our visits to Providence and leave feeling very well cared for.
Amazing experience! Some of the best seafood I have ever had. The service was amazing and warm, not stuffy.
Not good. The food , the wine pairing, the decor - all so off and not really up to Michelin star level.
This restaurant shows the difference from one Michelin Star and two Michelin Stars!! EVERY single bite was MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD!!! And the way they take care of you from entering the door to exit is AMAZING!!!
We had a late seating 8:45 pm this is later then normal for us, the staff was as pleasant and helpful as we have at early seatings. This was our first time at Providence and I can see why it received a two star rating. We had such a great experience ! The caviar oh the caviar was to remember the presentation plate to plate was beautiful. We loved every second we were there and we were treated with friendly and knowledgeable staff what a great night. Thank you all
If you want to enjoy a meal you might only see on a show like "Chef's Table," go as soon as you can.
Service was not what you would expect for a Michelin rated restaurant. I have been to 4 and loved them all, but this one was pretty disappointing. The food was very good but the pacing of the meal was off - sometimes 20 minutes between courses so we ended up being full before we got to our main course. We had an 8:30 seating and it was 11:30 by the time we started the first of 3 dessert courses. We had them wrap up the last one. Maybe they are just getting their footing back after Covid or maybe the staff was tired after a long Labor Day weekend. Either way, a lot to spend for it not to be perfect.
Dining at Providence truly feels like you're being whisked away to a magical place, where nothing else in the world matters. What an incredible, special experience.
Great evening. Food was great and the whole experience was great. Definitely a must try
Second time to this upscale seafood focused restaurant and loved it as much as the first. Incredible service and delicious food. Wonderful for a special occasion.
Providence is unbelievable. What a wonderful experience. I recommend for any and all occasions. The food was delicious, the service on point… top to tail it was amazing.
The best restaurant in Los Angeles. Hands down!
Very good experience, nice vibes, service people are so friendly. Every course with detailed information.
Outstanding. The staff is incredible.
Everything from the food to the service and ambiance was what you would expect of a restaurant of this caliber and more. The service was superb without feeling cloying or formal. The food was incredible making choosing a favorite or least favorite dish all but impossible (we tried). Highly recommended.
Above and beyond service and delicious food. The wine pairing is excellent. Obviously on the high side price wise but definitely a great dining experience while in LA.
Wow! What an experience, this restaurant is outstanding! The staff, service, and food was fabulous! The evening started with David the wine director picking a fantastic champagne for us he is really fantastic, from the champagne, sake, and burgundy. David hit the mark with everything! Next I have to talk about how special everyone made us feel we were celebrating two birthdays, they personalized all our menus with happy birthday with their names at the top of the menu. We had an 8 course tasting menu and every course was AMAZING!!! Every dish was prepared to perfection. When dinner was over they brought our menus back in a protected sleeve with homemade granola for the road. Yes this is the perfect restaurant for a date, special occasion or just because! The ambience was quiet and intimate just really beautiful. I look forward to returning!
