Truly special. Such a lovely experience.
Amazing experience from start to finish. Food was beyond amazing! Will definitely be back!
It was an amazing experience to have a dinner at Providence. Nice atmosphere, incredible food, very nice services.
I don’t feel it is a two star Michelin experience at all. We arrived at the time we have our reservation but it takes 35 minutes till we seated. After we get two cups of water, no one is trying to provide service in 6 minutes. It takes around 50 minutes until we get our first dish.
Most foods are amazing, but one appetizer which use yellow tail was bad My friend and I both felt it’s not fresh but the server consist it’s not possible.
After all, when we picked up our car from the valet, I’m trying to setup my navigation. The valet guy horn to me three times in one minute. He can’t event wait for one minute. I don’t understand if I’m really enjoying a two star Michelin restaurant or not.
Wow! Providence is like a great Bordeaux. It just gets better with age. We had not been for years. Once the restaurant got so famous we had a hard time getting a reservation. We got lucky, and had dinner there last night. We were stunned by the brilliance of the meal. No wonder reservations are a challenge. A tour de force of gastronomy. One of the best meals we have had in the world.
unbelievable experience from start to finish. We were celebrating my 50th birthday and this was perfect
It was my wife's birthday and the staff were very attentive to our needs and even gave my wife a birthday card, nice! The quality of the food and the presentation of the food was excellent, we were impressed.
A perfect meal. evening. restaurant. We had the chef's tasting menu and every course was delicious, beautifully presented, and we were thoughtfully taken care of by the staff.
Without a doubt, Providence continues to be the most innovative and consistently GREAT restaurant in Los Angeles. No detail is overlooked, starting with the ingredients. The presentations are even more imaginative than ever, and set the food off superbly and, frequently, contributing a context that rounds out the course. The service, delivered by a variety of wait staff, has always been impeccable in the best of European traditions combined with Angeleno diversity and lack of formality.
Cocktails are well done and the wine list deep with great choices. The bread is the best in the city and the desserts would tempt Buddha. Providence is recommended without hesitation.
Come here the second time for my birthday Everything was great!
The food is delicious but because it is a fixed menu, you are really stuck with what they offer. That is the only reason the food gets a 4. It is also VERY expensive. The wagyu, while very good, is an additional $50 and it was the only main course I liked so I had to get that and there wasn't much. And the dessert (which my wife loved) was horrible. But that is just my opinion. Pumpkin anything is not my cup of tea. Give me chocolate every time.
Spectacular meal with incredible seafood.
Had a great dinner. Some little and minor mishaps but the team was super wonderful.
Birthday celebration for my nephew
We chose the Chefs Table menu which has 15 courses. Some courses were mind blowing, others were good but not amazing. The atmosphere could be livelier.
Favorite LA restaurant!!
Great for special occasion. Appetizers better than entrees.
For a 2 star Michelin restaurant, we were underwhelmed. Service was great but the food and atmosphere wasn’t worth the high price tag of the meal. Highlight of the evening was the drama at the table next to us.
Superb dining experience in all regards. Highly recommend for special occasions.
Overall great. I like the cigar box.
Not sure if the food quality has gone down, because i was told by multiple friends this was an amazing dining experience, but we were not a fan. Me and my wife did the 7 course meal with wine pairing and unfortunately we didn't fully eat any of the courses. Our favorite part of the meal were the cocktails and the amuse bouche before our course started.
I was in town for work, so we decided to check a Michelin two star off the list. Providence was fantastic, and well worth us going out of the way!
Unbelievably great food, creative and delicious, with a phalanx of friendly, super knowledgable staff. Bring your retirement savings.
Our dining experience at Providence began exceptionally, we arrived at 6:30pm and were greeted by an abundance of staff. We all selected the Chef's Tasting menu with wine pairings.
The food was absolutely exceptional - I dream of the chowders. However, it took 5.5hours. We did not leave until around midnight and the service dwindled as the night went on.
I was disappointed that for the amount of staff standing around us, that one of the first cocktails was spilled, and cleaned up, without notice by any staff.
The bathrooms are located next to an unmarked door that apparently is used to run food, one of our party was hit by the door and launched sprawling across the floor causing his glasses to fly off - our introductory drinks were comped for this, but on a $2500 bill, it wasn't really a gesture.
Would I go back... without fail, yes. The food was so good, any other things could be overlooked.
They brought us a cake!
I have bene many times, and I will go again
Pros - service, ambience, food ( some )
Cons - wine list, location, food ( some )
If you want an exquisite gourmet experience, just go to Providence.
My wife’s birthday, for two of us. Best ever birthday dinner we had.
One of the best places to eat around Los Angeles. I've been coming to this establishment for several years and it doesn't disappoint.
Delicious artistic food, beautiful ambiance, excellent service. Worth every penny.
Service and food were excellent. There were several memorable dishes, but a few were very salty.
Providence is an amazing restaurant. The only restaurant in its league is Vespertine. It’s truly a gem!
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and top notch service. However, that comes with the price - expensive.
This may have been the best meal of my life, certainly in the top 3!
This place is an absolute delight. Went here for my 22th birthday. They prepared birthday card and candle. Food was amazing. Atmosphere is great. It was truffle season and the truffle pasta is perfect. Definitely will go again.
A most perfect dining experience. Truly world-class.
Beautiful presentation, amazing flavor combos, interesting and unique wine pairings, impeccable service. Expensive, but actually worth every penny. Perfect for a special evening to remember.
Nowhere a Michigan start food , poor service . Waiters were not at all pleasing
Everything was exceptional!! Service, food ... A great dinner experience!!!
