   We made a reservation here for the day after Thanksgiving. Family members were coming in from out of town to meet us here. When we arrived, it was closed for the day. Would have been nice for them to let Open Table know! Instead we had to scramble for an alternate venue.

   They close at 8 pm, which is obviously too early for the Friday night dinner crowd. And everything was geared to getting us more or less served and out of there as soon as possible. It made for a tense dining experience. The food is good, but you need to get there EARLY to enjoy it. We arrived around 7, and that was too late.

   Provenance was a revelation to me. Mostly because I had never been there. Last Thursday, I went after an early afternoon appointment, arriving at about 3:15 p.m., just in time for the start of their Happy Hour. While I waited for a friend to arrive, I ordered the spot-on pork potstickers, and the pesto, bacon and feta cheese French fries. The potstickers should not be missed for as long as they have them, if you like crispy, succulent, and perfectly non-greasy ones. (I do!) My one & only criticism about the fries was they struck me as ascetically dry, perhaps the chef abhors greasy food? This is not a problem, by any means, in my book. However, I also missed a pinch of salt, but the longer I kept eating the fries, the less I missed the salt b/c the pesto, bacon and feta were right there to help me w/ my gustatory needs. I also tried a fabulous butter lettuce salad w/ a raspberry vinaigrette, crispy, blanched, sliced almonds, matchsticks of green apple (plenty!), and surely other ingredients I can't remember. But who cares, when all of the prior ingredients were there and exquisitely good. As for drinks, well...Grant (aka Jesus w/ a 'Hay'), is clearly capable of preparing almost anything your heart & brain desires, but why bother when they have mixed drink specials to try which are perfectly conjured up & magically recreated before your very eyes, if you are wise enough to sit at the bar. I had something wonderfully refreshing and summery involving huckleberries, a flavored vodka, mint, and a pipette of crème de cassis liqueur. It was delicious AND fun to drink. Go to Provenance!

   My wife and I enjoyed a wonderful adventure, sight unseen. We were looking for a new place to try and read good reviews about Provenance. The food was wonderful. The service was incredibly personable and attentive. The location on the first floor of a residential building adjacent to a pool and community park was a bit of a surprise, but we really enjoyed the outdoor dining experience and the casual, comfortable, neighborhood feel of the place. Really wonderful.

   Great local restaurant, our 1st time however will not be our last. Small operation which means excellent food as all of our dishes appeared to be freshly made. Salads are great, crab cakes really good and same with the jambalaya as it seemed made to order and our waiter confirmed. Salmon with risotto. My wife likes her fish on the rare side and they did it right and many do not with fish. We have a new downtown spot that we will be back at. Nice selection of beer and wine as well as mixed cocktails. There prices are incredibly reasonable for what they serve.

   Awesome food and service! The coctails were delicoues too! Super easy walk to Golden One Center.

   Great service and menu selection. Small space that can get loud. If you can reserve the wine room, do. It's a private room with a 6 top where you can close the door.

    We made a reservation for the Monday holiday (President's day), and when we arrived to the restaurant, they had closed for the day. If they expect business moving forward, they should make sure to communicate closures to people with exsiting reservations. We were very excited to try this place for the first time and now we will not be back.
