The turbot was slimmy and cold and not flavourful. The brisket was tough and dense. Only ordered as a side as I heard others say the same thing but I wanted to see how a restaurant could make brisket tough and they did. The venison hamburger was good. But I think it was the huge tomato that made it juicy.

It was very relaxing from the point that we got there until we left. Our waitress was very informative and kind. She didn’t rush us but did inform us to order our mains before a larger group which was great. Food wise .. charcuteries board was displayed beautifully and plentiful. The flatbread was amazing as the duck wings. The caviolitti was very creamy but too creamy and quite expensive for mushroom pasta. The venison burger was excellent and the brisket was great but a little dry. Two large pieces that were plentiful. Perhaps thinner slices would have made it less dry. All in all we enjoyed our evening and the ambiance is perfect!

Sangria menu was great! So was the charcuterie, although it is a bit pricey for the quantity. Brisket is excellent and you get a huge serving. The duck was tasty but the plate is a bit sparse, could use a starch. Service was excellent!

The food was very tasty. A bit on the pricey side. Somewhat limited menu. A very nice ambience - nicely decorated and comfortable.

Everyone at Prohibition Public House was super friendly and attentive to our table’s needs. We were greeted with, “Hello beautiful people!” and it incredibly kept getting better from there. The ambiance is really cool. We loved all the wood and stone around the restaurant. The booths are so fun and comfortable. Then the drinks and food came out. The cocktails were beautifully presented and all the food was fantastic. We ordered the mushroom pasta, brisket, turbot, and the lobster/shrimp tools. All were outstanding. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone and hope to come back when we visit Ottawa again.

This is a great spot. Super ambience, if noisier than some would appreciate around dinner time. Service is friendly (over friendly?), quick and the booze in offer is good. Generous portions, so no one is going to leave hungry. Looking forward to trying the patio.
