Excellent vibe, music somewhat loud outside but we still enjoyed our evening, lots of heaters so very comfortable. Great service! The oysters were awesome, also recommend the Brussel sprouts!
Amazing food! I had the shrimp and grits and my boyfriend had the huevos rancheros. Had to be one of the.best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had. My bf loved his dish as well. We are coming back!
Everything was great! Cocktails, starters and entrees! Perfect!
Amazing Brussels sprouts (best I’ve had) paired with a spicy blood orange margarita = heaven. Finished up with the yummy warm donuts! Could have skipped the in between but def a good vibe and cute place.
What a find! We loved everything about this place. Definitely will be back!! Cant wait.
One of the best overall meals I’ve ever had.
Delicious, locally-sourced food & Excellent service, as Always!
Incredible food and amazing drinks! Love this place and highly recommend. Good service as well. They were packed so wait times were a little longer but we’ll worth it!
The menu was very limited but the food we ordered was very good. They didn’t have a very large wine selection and it seemed over priced. The service was not bad but not great either. Overall it was a good meal but pricey.
Excellent service by waitress. Good was delicious. Ambiance was lively but not too loud to feel intimate. New favorite!
Drinks were average went for dinner and ended up walking out without eating. The menu is beyond limited and they won’t accommodate any changes of whatever the menu states; for example they won’t add grilled chicken to their salad...what restaurant can’t/won’t do that?! There are much better options around the area...even after the manager (I think) came over (not requested) he seemed zero concern we chose to not eat there....paid my $30 for two drinks and walked.
New Year’s eve! The outdoor dining was perfect and food was phenomenal. Our entire group was satisfied.
very nice restaurant and the service was good, but I guess since it was NYE, the food wasn't very good! Very limited menu, a key item was sold out and the food was extremely salty! The drinks were good!
Really great! We ate outside, beautiful patio. Cocktails were tasty, and the food was delicious. We had a super nice server!
Fun atmosphere. Will order several appetizers next time and skip or share an entre. Our mains were delicious, but there were numerous starter selections and they looked and sounded appetizing. We enjoyed the charcuterie tray and loved each bite.
Great food and service
Loved Prohibition!! We went for brunch and sat outside on a chilly day. They sat us at a table in the sun and put a heater by our table. The food was outstanding - we had the Huevos rancheros and the chicken and biscuits. Both were absolutely amazing. Was definitely the best huevos rancheros I’ve ever had! I also highly recommend the bloody Mary’s! The ambience on the outdoor patio was fantastic too. Cute little lights and great music! The service was perfect… Not hovering but took care of everything. Can’t recommend prohibition enough.
Highly recommend - everything was delicious! We especially loved the unique flavor combination of the Whipped Ricotta Toast 😋 great music (not live, but excellent taste in tunes in our opinion) and just all around great ambiance.
Wonderful place with a lot of energy. Great food and great service
Everything for the most part was great. The only downside was our table. It was up against a servers station. We will definitely return.
Our second time coming here and still lived it. Last time we visited was couple of years ago when they had live jazz. With Covid currently still present, we still love the ambience & great service. Will definitely come back every time we are in Charleston.
Overall very nice experience. Limited entree choices but everything we tried was very tasty.
Order Chicken and Biscuits
Great service, excellent food. Covid protocols in place and followed.
It was a very nice way to celebrate Christmas Eve, ironic for a restaurant called prohibition. Drinks were excellent, server super knowledgeable. We did charcuterie and heavy apps,a great way to try everything. Beet salad was a cirrus-y starter and ribs were fall off the bone. The only thing we needed was a slightly bigger table.
We originally planned to have drinks and then ended up with dinner also. Paige was great and we had a great dinner on the cool back patio. Loved the cocktails and the steak and sweet potato were amazing! Thank you!
Very pretty environment, nice lighting, but the food selection is slim, and a little overpriced.
Only reason for 4 stars was that this establishment is still forcing patrons to wear nasty face diapers to enter. Nearby establishments on the same block do NOT force this unsanitory requirement and thus are probably more germ free. Masks do NOT stop viruses but do spread disease.
Besides that (for which we submitted for less than 30 secs just to get seated), we liked the back bar and the bartenders. Happy hour is a good deal for the tapas style snacks they offer. Drinks good too!
We sat on the patio for Sunday brunch, and space was very nice. However, the menu was quite limited. The mimosas were great, but the biscuits and gravy just did not have much flavor. Disappointing in the menu choices and their lack of flexibility (I wanted ham with my eggs instead of bacon, but it wasn't on the menu so the waiter would not deviate from it.)
I expected excellent food, but overall it was just acceptable. Plus they sat a group of 6 with two small children close to us, and the inside was empty. The kids screaming did not enhance the experience.
I would go back for dinner IF they return to live music and a more adult clientele. Not for brunch.
It was amazing! Food, ambiance, and staff were great! It was my wife’s birthday and she was treated like a queen!
We split the crispy Brussels sprouts appetizer which was a generous serving and very tasty. We both had the grouper which was very good. Our server, Brice, did a great job. We enjoyed our meal and the location was convenient to our hotel on King Street.
The Brussel Sprouts were AMAZING. Neither my husband or I had eaten them until now. We decided to give them a try. The toast with broccoli,
ricotta and honey was delicious as well. We wanted to go back the second night but wanted to tryout another place since we were visiting. WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK
We sat on the patio- very festive. We had drinks and appetizers. Food was good. Oysters - yum!
INCREDIBLE!!! The ribs app should be an entree it was out of this world. Best Burger, best steak i seriously could not stop raving about it while we were still eating. cocktails were soo unique and delicious. def recommend this place!
Serious Mixologists; bartenders are exceptional~give them additional time to create the perfect drink. The menu was built for share-plating, thoughtfully diverse.
Limited menu, only 5 entrees, including a burger.
Great experience! The food was delicious and service was quick and friendly. Would definitely go back.
We went to Prohibition on the evening after Thanksgiving and sat on the patio out back, which was fabulous! It was covered and the temp was perfect. They have it decorated, so lovely. We each tried a couple of craft cocktails, all of which we enjoyed. Food was awesome - oysters on the half shell, salad and cheese. Just some small plates to share with our group. Definitely will go back.
Ate here over Thanksgiving with some friends and sat on the patio out back. It is mostly under cover so you don't have to worry about the rain and there are heaters and fans so it is usable year round. Would recommend a reservation and to get the cocktails. Order from their list or have the bartender make you something based on a few likes/dislikes and they won't disappoint. The Castle Sour was our personal favorite. Also, for food we would recommend the brussel sprouts, they were fantastic.
This restaurant is really fantastic - great service and food. Brussel sprouts and Cheeseburger were outstanding. If you're on the fence, do it - you won't be disappointed.
