Always a great time. Great food, cocktails and energy!!
We had a reservation at 5:30 we sat in the restaurant not knowing that for happy hour you have to sit at the bar to take advantage of the specials. That was a disappointment as the reason we went was for happy hour. We ordered two drinks which were delicious. The ambience was beautiful and service was great. Food and drinks were pricey. They have an outside covered patio area with a bar you can also choose to sit at. Cute place…
The catch of the day, swordfish, on a bed of crab meat infused succotash was excellent. Several other members of our party said that the burger was tasty. The cocktails were also generally good. Sadly, the appetizers were a miss. The server failed to bring the appetizers out before our main course, and when they did come out, they were disappointing (maybe we just weren't hungry anymore).
Everything was perfect!
Solid brunch. Shrimp and grits were extremely good. We look forward to visiting again for lunch.
Great food, drinks, and service!
Would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Charleston
The shrimp and grits was outstanding and nice band.
The food and the service were amazing. We both ate everything on our plates. This is one of our favorite brunch locations.
Our waitress, Hannah, was wonderful! Very attentive and helpful!
The Chef was out if this world on point. Could be the best chicken wings I have ever had. The apps and the dinner were outrageous and cooked perfectly! Highly recommend! I will be back next time i’m in Charleston!
Really cool atmosphere. Service was great. Good drinks and the shrimp and grits were delicious!
Fantastic food and service! The Huevos Rancheros were delicious! Patio was cute and spacious. Our server Lyric was very friendly and attentive. I would recommend getting a side of the hand cut fries too. Perfectly seasoned & crispy.
We had a brunch reservation here on a Sunday. Decided to stop in the night before for a drink to check it out. The drinks were amazing. The atmosphere is very cool. Don't just stop at the 1st bar in the dining room, keep walking past the kitchen and there are 2 more bars and covered outdoor seating. We came back on Sunday for our brunch and had a very sweet and attentive waitress. Food was so good. Again, drinks were amazing. Great little band playing during brunch which was a bonus. This was probably our favorite place while in Charleston. Loved it.
Great food and service!
Outstanding swordfish. Outstanding bourbon and espresso martini. Waiter was very knowledgeable and friendly. Highly recommend!
Best shrimp and grits I’ve ever had . Oscar the waiter made the evening special . The locally sourced food came through with freshness and the creativity in all the dishes as outstanding.
Wow! Just wow. Went with my wife for our anniversary. The staff was amazing, the drinks were delicious and the 4 course tasting menu was to die for. Smoked beef tartar, root veggie salad, shrimp and grits, fried donut. All chef’s choice, so included the best of the best. Amazing place with amazing service.
It was loud and not private but food and service were great!
Wonderful shrimp and grits!
A great experience!
Interesting and creative menu, but limited. Noisy in the first dining room.8nvestigated back and outside. I Would have enjoyed that more. We had a reservation for 3, table was incredibly wobbly, should have moved. An offer to go to the back dining room. Woukd have been nice. Friendly staff
Good food and wide bourbon selection - little pricey.
Birthday , fantastic drinks
First time and we love it! Great ambiance, excellent service. So sad I do not remember the name of our server as he recommended a drink that I love it! We love the food as well. I highly recommend this place
We showed up 45 minutes early for our reservation and were seated promptly. The atmosphere was casual and cozy. Wait staff was knowledgable and friendly (thanks Samantha). Drink menu is extensive, quite the variety. A little pricey for the serving size but matched the online menu, so not surprised by the bill. Would definitely go back!
Food was awesome. Drinks could have been bigger!
Good was just ok . Steak was way undercooked. Ribeye very chewy. Drink were good. They need to step up their game
Love this friendly, lively bar and restaurant, especially the staff. Kudos to Ian at the bar and server Bryce.
Locals recommended. We enjoyed the dinner, however the burger as part of the entre menu was disappointing based on the price.
Overall a good and memorable dinner.
Great live music brunch! Our super sweet server even spotlighted for a song...Very talented
This was our second time for brunch at Prohibition - both experiences were excellent. Fantastic service. Food was above expectations. The drinks were perfect & the patio dining area is lovely. Will bring all of our out of town guests here for a great, downtown Charleston experience.
I think the prices are high, but I still recommend the place
Loved the appetizers - smoked beef tartare and shaved vegetable salad. The entrees were disappointing - catch of the day (swordfish) was a nice piece of fish but arrived cold with very runny succotash. The strip steak was extremely chewy and more rare than medium. Drinks were great.
Great food, excellent service and amazing cocktails... we will definitely return here on our next visit to Charleston
The patio was fabulous and the drinks and food were incredible ! Our waitstaff was terrific !!
The food and drinks here were absolutely amazing... the only negative comment I have were the chairs... the most uncomfortable ever..I probably would have stayed longer and had more of their delicious drinks but I couldn't wait to get out of that chair..now, the chairs looked cool but a chair should not only look cool but be appropriate for sitting....
It was an amazing experience and our server was fantastic!
Having been a fan of sister restaurant Pirlieu for years (now temporarily closed), we were happy to find a reservation at Prohibition. We were even happier to find some of the best food we'd ever experienced in Charleston! Service overall was terrific as well. Consider this restaurant highly recommended.
Wine recommendation was not very good
Food was very good
We had dinner in the porch area, which we enjoyed. If you like margaritas, try theirs- it's a little spicy and yummy! We had the scallops and the pasta dish and they were tasty. The servers are attentive but not pushy- Will definitely be back.
