Personally, I should have paid more attention to ALL of the ingredients in my menu item. There is a type of Italian sausage I don’t like and I would have not ordered had I paid attention, but the rest of the ingredients were very good. This did not, however, prevent me from clearing my plate. My son’s meal was good too (Wild Boar Gnocchi) but too exotic for him. Ambience was sparse, but nice. With seating at only 25%, we could actually hear one another. Will try Princi Italia again and order something different.
The food was fresh, tasted wonderful, met our expectation for a high quality restaurant and the atmosphere was nice. Service is casual but sufficient. We enjoyed our dinner and will return again.
We had a very relaxing and enjoyable date night on the patio. The food was excellent, especially the homemade pasta, and the service was very friendly and attentive.
Princi did a nice job on food and service. Things are getting back to their usual fine product.
Service by CJ was just awful. Had to get up 4 different times to get a new drink order. Had to clear our own dirty dishes from the table twice. Never saw a manager until about 2 hours into the dining experience when we finally went to the hostess & asked if she could find anyone to check on our meal as it had been 45 minutes since placing our food order. The manager, Jose came over & was very nice, apologized & sent us over 2 free appetizers. Food came out hot & delicious so it was clear CJ hasn’t even placed the order. Total dining experience was 3 hours & 15 minutes. We hope this was just a fluke with the restaurant trying to get back into the swing of things.
This was our first time back dining out since the pandemic. We chose Princi specifically for that experience and were not disappointed! The food, ambiance, and service were excellent. We will be back.
The food is always good and yesterday was the same. I cant say the service was good though. Too chatty, slow bringing flatware and napkin, slow with the check, just not professional and not trained.
Service and food were great!
Only issue was there air conditioner wasn’t working properly and the men were sweating.
It was great to be back. It is wonderful to enjoy off peak dining.
Food was excellent however our server kept pulling his mask down and we had some elderly guests with us. In this day that’s an important element of being a good server. All other people in the restaurant were fully masked.
Good was great and service was prompt and courteous. Will definitely go again-soon
Found the food to be just okay. Nothing special. Asked for bread, and that seemed to be a problem. Apparently, you have to pay extra for bread. Would be okay if the food was really good. The atmosphere was really good.
Great service and great food!
Jose is the best manager and is great at working in non Reserved folks. Geo and Melinda are the best wait staff.
CJ, our waiter, did an outstanding job. Do the bottomless Mimosas, but make sure and have Lyft/Uber as a resource!
Great evening food, services prompt and well presented.
Amazing as always. We enjoy they’re Happy Hour. Scrumptious pizza and stellar wine list. Service is consistently excellent.
Melinda and Geavoni were fantastic for our event. Our surprise birthday party for my wife could not have gone better. The private area was great and the management could not have done better for everything to be perfect.
Great service and extras for our friends birthday
Veal clafoutis was thick and chewy. Very disappointed
BF does not eat fish, I love it. We decided it was a me night so we went here for the first time and we figured he’d just get a burger. As you can imagine, getting a burger at a seafood place is not the most popular option but it was incredible. Fries were great and we were totally impressed.
The sushi rolls were different, thicker rice roll but still amazing. Solid seafood restaurant.
Service was awesome. One of these rare places where everything on the menu seems to be excellent.
Great drinks & food, however we were double billed for our drinks at the bar! 😡 My husband paid for the $25 drinks + $5 tip in cash. When we got home & he looked at the bill, he saw we were charged for the drinks again! So he paid $128 & $25 tip on his credit card. What a disappointment to ruin our Valentine’s Day night dinner!
Very nice ambiance! Patio with heaters were very comfortable. Food was delicious!
Very nice restaurant with authentic Tuscan style food!
Poor service, dirty wine glasses, and a poorly designed menu for Valentines Day.
Excellent food. Fresh and prepared and seasoned perfectly.
Poor service, however, put a damper on our experience. After waiting 45 minutes for our entrees, we had to finally flag down the manager and ask about the holdup. He apologized, and informed us that there was a new cook, and things in the kitchen were running more slowly than usual. He then comped one of our companions’ glass of wine.
Why did we have to express concern about our order before the delay information was disclosed? While the manager and server were both friendly and pleasant, we should not have had to hunt someone down to get a status report on our order. Furthermore, we informed the server when we placed our order that we would like our checks separate (there were two couples in our party of four); so why were we not offered a break on our charges, also? We did not order wine, but our entrees were every bit as delayed as the couple’s who were comped a $20 bottle of wine.
The food was excellent, and the wait staff was generally efficient but they fell short on communicating with us. That part was extremely disappointing and surprising.
Always an excellent dinner. I love the Italian wedding soup.
Gio is the best waiter anywhere.
I had dreamed of having their fig, Gorgonzola bruschetta again and took a friend, who is now a fan of Princi Italia as well! I had never been to the Plano location before, but it was just as awesome as Dallas location! Dallas has opened back up after tornado damage, so I would love to see my old love again!!! I just love everything about this place....FOOD, Bread, Drinks, Ambiance, Music, FOOD, even the water is good here!!!!
Excellent again. Fresh pasta made on site and amazing pizza. Another great meal !
Excellent food and great atmosphere suitable for families, or a date! Would defined come back!
We eat at both Princi's offten . . .both are wonderful . . .We have a special waiter (Herman), at the south location, who really takes great care of us when we visit!! At the north Princi, they are always so accomodating and at both locations, the food is wonderful. I love the arugula salad, and when available, I add seared tuna to it . . .its quiet enough so you can carry on a conversation, the servers are great, but not intrusive . . .which is why we frequent both locations . . .Highly recommend.
This is a very nice neighborhood restaurant with dependably good food and service.
Our waiter totally messed up our order. He forgot one entree and when he realized his mistake they were out ot that entree he ordered. Finally his food arrived but after we were all done eating. To make it worse, he even charged is for it. The manager never came over to apologize or offer dessert or anything. Very disappointed, we like to give our neighborhood restaurants a chance!
Service was extremely slow. When I asked for bread to go with my meal, I was told my order would go to the bottom of the orders and so I couldn’t get any to enjoy with my meal! What Italian restaurant doesn’t have bread available?! I was willing to pay for it!! So disappointed.
The food was outstanding but the service was not good, our server didn't seem to want to wait on us and put the effort into making sure our water glasses were full and that we were handed the correct dish. My daughters and I sat at the table for awhile talking and not once did our waiter come to fill our water glass nor asked if we needed anything else. I'm big on customer service and I will have second thoughts in coming back to the Plano location.
Dalton our server was fantastic! We brought some friends that had never been before and they were very impressed with every aspect! Italian perfection from a food standpoint...and excellent customer service all fronts!
First class from the time we walked in until we walked out.
We always enjoy dining here and have done so many times over the past two years. Recommend you stop in and check it out for yourself.
Great place for a authentic Italian meal. Lovely setting without being kitschy. Service was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. Great date night or girlfriends night out dinner! Wine list is well curated as well
