   The dry aged steaks, drinks and service were impeccable! The crab cakes were excellent as well. You truly get what you pay for and it was worth every penny!

   We decided to sit at the chef’s counter last minute and they were kind enough to accommodate us. We enjoyed the experience. Our weighted was on point. Food was fantastic!

   The food here was fantastic and service terrific. I highly recommend this restaurant. We ordered and shared many scrumptious tapas items, all of which were so unique and amazing, and we also shared the best by far cubano sandwich I ever eaten. You will not be disappointed.

   Reserved standard table but on arrival, they had set us up on a high top. They verified that our reservation was correct and said they would have our correct table in a few minutes. We waited 30 minutes. There was no offer of complimentary drink or other hard recognition of their error. It was a good thing that our dinner did not precede another event.

   We were referred to Primrose by the sister restaurant Cypress. We elected for the counter service so we could watch the chefs activity. I probably would’ve opted for a table as it was more stressful then enjoyable watching the kitchen staff in the weeds. There were no special little tastings or interactions as anticipated. Service was extremely slow. Our waitstaff was very busy and only saw her for putting order in. When finally received our meals I found that my dish (the white fish special) was very overtaxed so much so that it was inedible. I grabbed any staff I could find and said I wasn’t enjoying and wanted to just hand it back. My husbands steak was prepared nicely and he enjoyed his dish. I didn’t want anything else as it already took an hour to get our meal. Eventually the staff that brought and opened our bottle of wine came over to inquire about the complaint and could care less. The body language was resistant and tone defensive. Basically, we were told they if we didn’t like it we should talk to the owner/chef Basically passing it off. I said oh the one on the kitchen now in the busiest service time of the evening is who we should talk to? You’ve got to be kidding me if you think I’m pulling him from the kitchen to share feedback on a dish. Also he was the same one who stood and talked to the people next to us that he knew about real estate and didn’t bother greeting anyone else at the counter. No thanks. Once again she stated “that’s who you need to talk to”. So the person who is supposed to be a manager on duty can’t take any responsibility and insists we won’t get a result from her but have to pull Chef. The whole experience put a really negative spin to our last dinner in Steamboat and we left feeling very disappointed at the way we were treated. We left and went back to Cypress for after dinner drinks and had the best service ever at the bar (we had been there before dinner). Thankfully it salvaged the vibe.

   Great service and food. The Primrose Social Hour menu also offers relatively good value for Steamboat.

   The table side ribeye was an experience I won't forget. Everything was excellent. The service was fantastic. I can't wait to come back!

   Wonderful happy hour experience!! Margaritas were phenomenal and the food was delicious.

    Fantastic spot in town. It is certainly the best restaurant in town and rivals anything near the mountain. I look forward to trying Chef's new restaurant as well. Everything from the cocktails to the impeccable wine list to the amazing food was terrific. The service by Gay and Meg was first-rate. Keep it up!
