Prime Cut Steakhouse - Jamul Casino San Diego
Everything was prepared expertly. My wife loved the lobster and my crab legs were very tasty. My only issue was that the crab legs were not split. I did receive a crab cracking tool but no small seafood fork. I ended up using a dinner fork to split open the shell.
Our waitress was very attentive. I will go back again
This place was much better 6 months ago.
I have been disappointed last two dinners.
Service is outback level. I found the steak average, nothing special. I hope they reverse what they are doing. The waitress was not attentive to the table at all, I suspect the restaurant is not focusing on service or quality.
Place ambience is good but food is poor. Roast beef is so cold. Not much selection of food for the price . Maybe will return to eat again because of discounts . Probably will not recommend to friends unless they want to use the discounted benefits as a casino member. They should improve the menus for more selections and at least should be hot or warm upon serving. No problem with servers only the food is poor.
I love the relaxed feel of this place.
However I think it is overpriced.
I would return to try more dishes as long as the casino comp me. I wouldn’t pay out of my pocket.
I do like the service - all the staff are nice and friendly, I usually tip them over 20% since my dinner is comp.
We had outstanding customer service from our waiter,. The food was great
Overpriced for quality, selection and amount of food available; additionally, run out of items 1 1/2 hrs after opening.
Great buffet and friendly staff.
Great outdoor view and service. The food is usually much better, but this particular day was just ok. I’d still go back.
Ate there on Mother's Day. For 50 dollars this buffet is a joke. The lobster are small tails cut in half and they were tasteless and rubbery. The butter had no flavor at all. Not much selection and they should be ashamed of putting out a really crappy product. Would never eat there again even if it was free.
Excellent food and service, but relatively week dessert assortment
What a great place to eat. ydeen is a new but a wonderful server and and Laura is outstanding and experienced host. Ydeen Up sold me on my steak with an Oscar style. This is crabmeat and asparagus In a great sauce. I highly recommend this for your steak and you cannot go wrong requesting the excellent host Laura see if Ydeen Is available. I met the manager as well. he was super friendly with obvious customer service skills and heightened leadership qualities. Chop house runs very well. Will be back soon.
Excellent Food and Service. Made a reservation so we had no wait.
Service was great, food was phenomenal and the speed of service was outstanding! 10/10 would recommend
The lobster wasn't cooked all the way. I had to go back multiple times to see if the corn on the cob had come out. The server kept saying 5 more minutes. After I went back four times and still no corn, I gave up. There should also be egg whites offered for omelettes. I ca't have regular eggs due to my cholesterol levels.
Service was a bit slow. At times, had to ask for items multiple times.
Also, above I said I would recommend the Prime Cut Steakhouse, but only for regular menu items, not the lobster buffet @ $50.00.
My wife and I really enjoy this restaurant. The views are some of the best in San Diego. Would recommend to family and friends.
The Ambiance was very nice but the food is way overpriced for the mediocre quality. The vegetables and pork chop were not cooked well enough and the potato was cold.
Good food and nice view
Service is nice and I will be back
Second time. Meat is great we go for filet and lamb. Perfect grilled quality meat. Oscar way crab serving was too sour and creamy for my taste.
We had the Ribeyes with mushrooms and onions and it was delish. We ate in the bar area to watch the draft and Scott served up some excellent cocktails. Had a good time. Good job everone.
The pieces of lamb roast were tough and inedible. The lobster had NO flavor and I had to dip it in soy sauce. It was not worth the price we paid!
The food and food choices were exceptional. Even though it was Easter Sunday, it was not overly crowded. There was no waiting in the food lines, and the noise level allowed for easy conversation. The only disappointment is that for an "all you can eat" Lobster buffet, the lobsters were very small and served only one at a time, which meant you had to go back a lot to receive any meaningful serving of "all you can eat" Lobster. Perhaps a successful ploy to get in a lot of exercise while succumbing to an "all you can eat" buffet of many, many! quality food choices. The service was slow. Even though we served ourselves through the buffet lines, we did have a server to provide drinks, refills and collect the used plates. Getting the initial round of drinks and subsequent refills was very slow. Considering it was not overly busy, this did damper the overall experience. Otherwise, we cannot wait to return!
Missy provided great service. Not happy about the $25 corkage fee when most restaurants charge $15.
Meat wine and service were great. This is a restaurant that provides high quality meat made for perception. Starters and deserts are fine but meat quality is 5 star comparing other options in south CA.
The shrimp cocktail was generous; however, the shrimp were very hard (not completely thawed?) and plated sort of partially buried in crushed ice. The sauce portion was skimpy and the salad plate was sparse. The greens did not cover the bottom of the plate.... The server dropped the billing on the table and kept going. Had to chase her down to complete transaction w/CC. Maybe next time...
I was there for buffet and compared to other casinos buffet the foods does not compared. I was there for two plates. I find it odds that my buffet bill requested 20% tips when the only thing the server did was delivered me a water and nothing else.
It was my first & last time having a $50 buffet at the prime cut steakhouse in Jamul. I had a 6:30pm dinner reservation and the host was not friendly. I went to get my food and almost all the food were gone. All the food containers, prime rib area, lobster area & pasta area were out & empty. I ask my server about it and she said all the food are almost gone due to earlier lunch crowds. Wow I was speechless. I think the chef is lazy & don’t want to refill. Horrible experience.
Great food and environment. Service is great!! Z
Our waiter, Ye, was wonderful and on top of everything. The food was great and the place was almost empty because we had dinner later in the evening, which I thought was better. Every detail was on point and the service was the best of all the times we’ve eaten there. I had the crab cake and the seared scallops with bacon and Brussels sprouts and my boyfriend had the shrimp cocktail and the chicken entree and all of it was delish! I like the new menu!
It’s cleanliness , the staff was friendly , but the foods needs more menus & selections
We weren’t sure what to expect being that we were at a casino. We are so glad we went. We were looking to have a very nice steak dinner with the ambiance and Prime Cut delivered in all aspects. We had reservations and we were seated promptly. Service was friendly and prompt. Our whole dinner experience was fantastic. We couldn’t hear the casino noise at all. I highly recommend Prime Cut for any occasion.
Sunday’s Lobster Buffet is mouth watering, much too choose from - meats to pasta; salads to seafood. The GM Dennis is a fine host and genuinely received guests with appreciation.
The lobster buffet was not what we expected. The Restaurant itself on the regular day is way better than the buffet on Sunday.
Love to eat there. Everything is always a great experience.
Everything was wonderful, delicious food, scallops were cooked perfectly, this coming from a chef! Thank you,
Miss the displays of Hollywood memorabilia when this was Hollywood Casino and nothing has been done to replace them with anything. I paid $45 for a 2oz portion of sea bass, extremely overpriced and left hungry.
OMG!!! The Chilean Sea Bass was out of this world!! It was pure white, flaky and absolutely delicious and the miso glaze was perfect. The accompanying vegetables were wonderful, as well. I left an empty plate!!
Reunion with old friends.
I have had a lobster craving for the last year. So finally went to check out the Jumuel casino, buffet I don't gambel. This was a very small selection, of items comparwd to the other casino. I did get my lobater fix. The cost was $50 I think for the quantity of food they have it should be $25 or $30 max . If you can get 6 or 8 lobster tails down it is worth it. But Valley View has a much much bigger buffet at least 3 times bigger. And lobster on weekends.
The food was very excellent excellent once again only one disappointment you didn't have that awesome salmon but maybe next time other than that the staff was very awesome The View was spectacular and I will bring somebody else next time I come ask this time I brought a friend who has never been up there so she had a double treat we enjoyed ourselves very much thank you
