The overall ambience is lovely and the service is impeccable. My lobster roll was terrific-tons of lobster. But my husbands piece of fish was miniscule and $14 for some french fries is a bit much.

I’m a regular customer at Prime. Made reservations for two to celebrate my husband’s 56th birthday (date night). I requested a table in the main dining room when I made the reservations on Open Table. When we arrived, we were seated in the Wine Room next to a family with two very, very young kids. The food was delicious as always and our server John was wonderful. However, sitting next to a family with two very young kids was NOT very enjoyable. One of the young kids kept prancing around in front of our table and kept interrupting our meal. My husband and I were not happy with the situation especially spending $300 on his birthday dinner. We spoke to one of the managers at the end of our meal…his response was “next time we’ll make sure we don’t seat you next to young kids”. Really…management has got to do better than that.

Prime is a frequent stop for us. There is no better atmosphere, modern, on harbor, sit inside or outside, within beautiful architecture and design. Food, usually superb, occasional miss but most often well done. Service is generally very good and was last night. However, the front desk was less pleasant especially after requesting to not sit in the back room corner by the work station. Made us all very uncomfortable. Once past that we had a wonderful experience, food, vibe, service and view. Very good choice for something special.

We have eaten at Prime a few times and this was the worst experience thus far. All previous experiences were really wonderful and that is why we returned. Service was extremely slow, over half hour to get our drinks and at least over an hour to get our entree’s. Our food was definitely sitting under the heat lamps too long and was dried out and not fresh. The cod was dried out and the sauce was almost all evaporated, I think there was one olive and maybe one tomato on the dish. The tuna was not hot (where it should of been and creamed spinach looked unappetizing) We would of returned the food but we waited so long we were too hungry. We loved the ambience but service was slow and food was poor in my opinion this time.

Sitting right on the water was beautiful. The food was great! Lobster sushi roll to start. I had the striped bass, my wife had the encrusted tuna. Both cooked to perfection. The service was great too, waiters were very attentive. I highly recommend. Thank you!

We frequent Prime often, and this was the worst experience we have had. It was not that busy yet the appetizers and main courses took so long. The waitress was hard to understand, and not attentive. We spent over $700 last night and are reconsidering if we will continue going again.

It’s a beautiful space and Joe, our server was knowledgeable and overall provided a great experience, but I like my food hot.. I understand that all plates don’t come out at the same time however for a high end place and for the price we are paying good food, I would expect the kitchen to know how present at minimum, warm food. Fries came out cold, crispy Brussels sprouts came out cold, The everything Montaigne tuna steak’s mash potatoes were cold. The flavor was there but it felt like I was eating yesterday’s left overs. Not sure if I would recommend.

Went to Prime for my Dads 60th birthday with my Mom and Brother. It was such a lovely afternoon and our server and manager were just amazing. they were able to accommodate my dads favorite seat, and went out of their way to celebrate his birthday. The food, of course, was impeccable. Great afternoon and highly recommend.

You can’t select how you want Beef Wellington cooked. Mine was very rare. Seasoning salty. Mani Mahi extremely salty. Has to send back. Waiter good, but too busy. Forgot the half and half for coffee.

Fantastic restaurant. Food was excellent and staff was attentive while not overbearing. There are a number of different rooms/areas within the restaurant, including waterfront tables. We chose inside with a waterfront view and could not be more pleased.

The setting is perfect, a great view of the harbor/ boats. Just amazing! The service is excellent and the food is excellent. The price is high, and expected. So no complaints on that front. Just a little off putting by the requirements prior to coming. When making a reservation, you have to use a credit card charging $50. Ok I get that as I’m sure people dont cancel their reservations and the restaurant gets stuck. BUT, it is states that they will charge your credit card if you don’t give 3 days notice! I find that excessive and unfair. What if I get sick the day before or morning of? Also the have a 10 minute grace period . I think that is pretty short. The norm is more like 15 minutes. I go knowing the prices are high and accept that but do get annoyed when there are NO substitutions , which I was told by wait staff. In general, it is a fabulous restaurant with good food, service and views, no one rushed us and the bathrooms are individual private and lovely. As long as you are prepared for the prices, it will be a wonderful experience and great for a special occasion.

We sat outside on the upper patio. Beautiful views. Food was very good, however, they charge you for bread at the table. I had 1/2 roasted chicken for $33 which was delicious and my husband had the petite steak for $58. It is definitely expensive but enjoyed our meal.

Unfortunately this restaurant doesn’t live up to the hype or the prices. First, and to be fair, the food was very good. Had the wagyo special, sea bass, and petite fillet. All were very good. But for the prices the restaurant charges you would expect a higher level of service. During dinner not less than seven times a plate or class was dropped. Don’t even think about a refill of water. 18 minutes from when a first drink was ordered to when it came to the table. It was then spilled all over the table by the waiter. No comp except for a free cup of coffee at the end of the meal. Doesn’t come close to the dry cleaning bill. Second drink order, almost 15 minutes before it came to the table. Hostesses are more concerned about their computer screen and each other than they are the guests. They need to learn a few words and how to use them, including, hello, thank you, please, and perhaps how to look up from their phone when talking to a guest. Bus staff should not push guests out of the way when caring trays. Times are tough but Prime could do much better by actually trying to train their staff. Likely will not be going back as there are better steak houses and better restaurants on the water with staff that understands that they are pitching for your next reservation. I don’t like giving bad reviews. But the whole staff performed like they were serving at a diner. Overall, very disappointing.
