Excellent service, delicious ,steaming hot food, no music, friendly, attentive staff. Well done anytime, but truly amazing post-covid. Bravo
We all enjoyed our fish dishes, the atmosphere and the service! Always consistent in food preparation and attentive, friendly servers. Our favorite restaurant in San Ramon!
I always enjoy the food and this evening was no exception. We sat outside in the tent - little windy but overall enjoyable and private because other occupied tables were far away.
Always, 5 stars! I’ve been a patron for a very long time!
Delicious dishes, wonderful flavors and beautifully presented. Enjoyed a great Father’s Day dinner!
Our reservation was on Father’s Day an we were still seated on time. Our server was polite and prompt.
The shrimp & quinoa salad was light and tasty. I also recommend trying the appletini.
Wow! We were first-timers here and can’t wait to go back! Such good food and great service! They were hopping on a Sat night and it was obvious everyone was working hard. But there were smiles and courteousness all around. We started with the meatball appetizer- delish! We also got the chicken parmesan and chicken cranberry salad, both commendable! But the bread, oh the bread, and that delectable dipping concoction that comes with it. We asked for a refill on our bread basket and almost made ourselves sick. But it was unforgettable and so worth it! Ended with a creme brûlée and then rolled happily out to our car. :)
We had a very nice meal in the outdoors tent. Of course, eating in a parking lot is not much on ambience, so four instead of five stars. If they had a chocolate dessert, we might have given back the fifth star but, alas.....
My daughter’s 8th grade promotion dinner June3 2021…called as we were running late for 7:45 reservation. Person who answered said it should be alright when I informed him it would be around 8 or slightly after. We arrived approximately 8:05 & was told they were closed by a lady who strolled passed us in the lobby area. She repeatedly said they close at 8 & that we were too late to dine.. and added “we should have been there by 8”. As I attempted to inform her that when I phone about 5-10 mins prior I was told it would be ok…she insisted the individual told me I had to be there by 8….I corrected her as the young man whom I spoke with told me it would be fine. Shocker, but we left. TERRIBLY RUDE WOMAN single handedly ruined my entire opinion of this place. What used to be my goto for special family/local dinners (because the food is consistently great & Manny/manager always accommodating) has forever lost my business to DelaRosa at SR City Center-a fun & lively place that was happy to serve us on a Thursday night @ 8:30pm. Great food & awesome service. Unfortunately for primavera, you’ve lost a loyal customer of nearly 10 years. Get rid of that horrible women who I can only assume was a manager? It’s a BAD LOOK for your business. If she’s an owner, I have NO words…hard to believe she’ll stay in business
We dined outdoors, and most tables were occupied. The gas heaters had been removed, but were available on request. The salads were delivered promptly, but the wait between the salads and the entree--and the wait to have the entree cleared--was extraordinarily long. Our server told us they were busy and that everyone came at once, etc. The bottom line is that business is getting better and they are not yet prepared. On the bright side, the food is still very good, which is the biggest reason for dining out. So, we hope things will improve as things improve.
It was great. The manager, Manuel, was very accommodating!!
I love the food. The service was excellent. They anticipate your needs and are very friendly. The food prep was very fast, hot and delicious.
The service was mediocre. The food has down downhill.
Starter spinach salad was great and I loved the steamed clams as well!
My husband and I have been frequent customers for many years.our last few visits, The service and food has been very poor. I made our usual reservation and we made an Hour drive only to be turned away at the door. We were rudely advised the kitchen is closed for mothers day. needless to say we won't be back for a while.
Called at the last minute and they were able to seat us within 15 mins. Great food and service.
We love Pasta Primavera. Great food, Great service everytime.
Our favorite place. Anxious to eat inside again. I had Veal Saltimbaca and fond the veal very chewey. A friend had another veal dish and also remarked the veal was cut thick and was quite chewey The pasta and 'gravy' was fine.
We passed it off as 'renewal difficulties' after Covid-19 closed the inside during the last year. The wives chose different entries and were completely pleased with their choices.
I'm sure it will soon return to the best place in the East Bay very soon.
Oh yes, the available tables inside were all occupied by 6:15 on a Wednesday so don't wait to make those reservations if you want a table inside. The set-up outside is nice but it gets a bit cool if windy.
We dined outdoors, which reduced the ambience a bit. The covered tent was a bit breezy but after a few attempts the staff was able to get a nearby heater operating, and our fingers thawed out. The food was delicious and served hot. Our only carp about the menu was the lack of a good chocolate dessert. Otherwise, we enjoyed dinner and will return soon.
Overall everything was good. The bread and dip was the best. Our server was very nice.
Great neighborhood gem!
Food hits the mark and service is good.
One of our favorites
Never disappointed coming here - love their chicken pharm. Delish!
Excellent food; excellent evening; good value. We all enjoyed what we ate. Calamari Steak delicious; Jambalaya Excellent; Lamb-wonderful; and Mixed Seafood Fra Diavlo great. Nice bottle of wine. Delicious; great evening. Will keep going to this place.
Good food again. Derive was also good. Sat outside in the tent....was very nice.
❤️❤️❤️ this restaurant!!! Food, service, cocktails, management - has it all! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
We were so pleased to be able to choose to eat inside although there is a vast area outside now. The service was great! The food was delicious! We're always happy to visit this restaurant!
So happy open for outdoor dinning. Been here at least 4 times and the Food and drinks are always so delicious. Hubby and I came this time for anniversary. It was not acknowledged, but that’s ok. We had reservations and got there right as it started to get busy so glad we had those reservations. Once seated it took a while to even get acknowledged, we had to flag down to get our service started but once we did everything else was great! One of my favorite spots!
Enjoyed a wonderful outdoor dining experience. A heater placed near the table made it comfortably warm. The service was great and the food delicious. We had a comfortable amount of uninterrupted visit time. One of my favorite places!
The dinner was great as usual. Our server was delightful and took very good care of us.
Always had a great experience at Primavera Ristorante. Our favorite appetizer is the Avocado Caprese Salad. Avocado adds a unique touch to this classic dish. Tried their Lamb Shank Risotto and the meat was tender literally fell of the bone.
The only improvement opportunity would be their check-in process. There was no one at the hostess table and we waited for a long time. Assumed that we had to go in to check-in and this woman rushed up to us to tell us "the manager will be with you in a minute". Other than this blemish, the rest of the experience was awesome!
Had lunch on a weekday under the outside Pavillion. Tables were well distanced and open sides allowed for good airflow. I had the salmon quinoa salad. The salad had a generous portion of salmon but salmon was overcooked. Had the tiramasu for dessert. It was perfect. The service was good but not outstanding.
First time I have been there. Is was ok. Nothing super special. My pasta with seafood was laden with a heavy sauce. However my wife’s Osso buco was very good. Hard to believe but they had no coffee at the end of the meal. Could not deliver or did not want to make a fresh pot. Hard to believe.
I somehow think it is the job of the server to plate your leftovers rather than just dropping off boxes for you to do the plating. Fortunately there was a large spoon in one of our dishes to accomplish that. Sometimes they forget that we have no large spoon and trying to place the leftovers with a fork is ackward. They should remember that we are their guests until we turn over the table. Tips are effected by their behavior.
They were closed. How does Open Table book restaurants that are closed? Rather embarrasing.
I had a reservation on Monday at 12:30. When my guest and I arrived the doors were locked and we were unable to eat there.
Primavera Ristorante has done a really nice job of adapting to an outdoor venue. Their large tent is comfortable (spaced tables, open airflow), warm (plenty of heaters) with good ambience (Wine barrels, Plants and red decorative curtains)
I want to give them the benefit of the doubt. I made a reservation for Valentines Day a week in advance. Their website showed a Valentines menu with a choice of several different 3 course meals, one of which was rib eye steak. When I went to order my meal, the waitress had no knowledge of a special valentines menu. At that point I was a little annoyed, but she said she would ask her boss about it. She came back with an excuse about there supplier couldn't provide the food they had ordered, so they canceled the whole Valentines Menu. Now I am even more annoyed. At that point we ordered drinks. I ordered a Grey Goose Martini and my wife ordered a Chocalatini. We got our drinks in a timely manner, my wife loved her Chocalatini, my martini was probably the worst martini I have ever had. First thing I noticed was, no olives. I am trying to make it an enjoyable evening for my wife, so I bite my tongue, then I tasted it. It was like a slushy, there were tiny pieces of ice in a martini? My wife and I were really looking forward to the meals we had chosen from the "Valentines Menu". I ended up ordering the Veal Saltimbocca and my wife ordered the Lobster and Shrimp special. They brought out our meals and they looked great! Problem is, my veal was not veal, it was chicken. I asked the waitress if it looked like veal or chicken. She said it looked like chicken and brought it back. Our waitress was great! They brought me the veal dinner in less than 5 minutes. The veal was terrible! It was like leather!! The reason I want to say I will give them the benefit of the doubt is I understand how hard it it for restaurants to be consistent in this time of covid. They were overwhelmed on Valentines Day. I just hope that after all the covid regulations are over, they can recover and be my favorite restaurant again!!!
