This is a unique venue on the rooftop of the Graduate Hotel, which by the way has recently become a Hilton. This spot sits surrounded by lots of good restaurant options in Palo Alto, many with quite good service, but no one else has this feature--a lovely rooftop to enjoy the outdoors, way up high. That said, the food was far too salty, on the small side for the price, and there is a very limited menu. The server was nice, but her presence was scant as she was working the entire rooftop. It wasn't self serve, but also you had to prompt a lot of actions on your own as she was just given too much to do and still be attentive. I suppose it would be nice for her as she didn't have to share tips, but is it worth the cost of having people leave determined not to return? I suppose that's a management question. It also seems if they are going to rely so heavily on the rooftop feature, they may want to swap out some of the 'room's' walls for something like glass walls so that the hills & other surrounding beauty can be allowed in, even from your seat. Just like an ocean view will allow even a mediocre restaurant to fill the seats, a more available view may allow this location to thrive without improvements to the menu, food and service. Anyway, this was likely our fourth trip the roof--the first since they transitioned to becoming a Hilton. We'd intended to eat downstairs, but it was closed--apparently it's closed every Monday and Tuesday they close. The first visit was a beautiful day, but it had rained earlier so we weren't allowed to do more than look around. The other two times we had drinks at the bar, but didn't look into the food offerings. I can't imagine we'll return for more than drinks unless someone raves about something there in the future.

The servers are lovely and the bartenders make the best drinks. 10/10 ambiance and there’s a du on Fridays. Dj Jenessy plays rnb, top 40 and some oldies love her.

The view and the space itself were beautiful. The food was pretty good but overpriced. All of the furniture and plastic glassware were cheap, and the waitress we had was inexperienced and not attentive to our needs.
