Overall had a horrible experience. Waited 45 minutes for an appetizer and waitress was rude. Appetizer came with meal. Got the brisket flatbread and I don’t know how the chef did it but it had no flavor at all. Would not recommend to anyone. They gave us free coupons for lunch or dinner but felt guilty offering those to anyone else.

The menu we found on line was not the same menu we got when in the restaurant so that was disappointing, but we did find the burgers to be very good. We were having dinner prior to a performance at Orchestra Hall so we had hoped for a nice quiet dinner. Ambiance-wise it was quite loud. We had a table that was up against the half wall of the bar and a large group was leaning over our table and shouting and whatnot, invading our space. One of their kids was actually climbing up the wall behind my husband and was kicking the back of the chair whle he was trying to eat. Also, it was hard to hear each other at our table so I wouldn't want to sit in that spot again - and we had a reservation so that was disappointing.

This isn't a place you'd go to get more than a lunch or a drink. There really is no need to make reservations either. It's just a decent hotel bar/restaurant.

Business lunch... Ordered the onion soup, not bad but it appeared to be canned. Ordered the buffalo chicken salad, the chicken seemed canned with a drizzle of buffalo sauce and iceberg lettuce. Experience was lower than expected, especially for a restaurant at a Hyatt hotel.

Our party of five was be able to carry a conversation in this restaurant which was really nice. It was quiet enough and roomy atmosphere. Food was good, my farro salad just had a bit too much of that farro. Nice place to eat and have a drink before a concert!

Overall nice dinner experience! Would have given a higher score but we sat on the patio and a person approached us to ask for money. Seems like there should be a barrier or gate to get into the patio dining area.

This was the perfect spot for us to grab a bite before an evening at Minnesota Orchestra Hall which was in walking distance. It is a very open space off the lobby of the Hilton Hotel, so it is not a cozy spot, but it does provide good people watching. Our food was EXCELLENT!

Met long-time, out-of-town friends for dinner at Prairie Kitchen as they were staying at the Hyatt for the weekend. We chose outdoor seating. We enjoyed the setting. We had a great server. And all commented that they were pleased with their dinner choices. We went for lighter fare rather than the entrees. All around nice evening.

We sat outside on their newly remodeled patio and it was a lovely evening. Our server Sam is a favorite of ours - so gracious and amiable.
We ate simply (a shared burger, fries and a salad) and it was very good and served in adequate portions to share.

I recently hosted a group brunch at Prairie Kitchen and everything was excellent - a semi private eating area, good service and great food.

We like Prairie Kitchen a lot and would recommend it for casual dining anytime of day.

I rarely review when a meal is bad, but this really is an overpriced hotel lobby bar and should be viewed as such. Overpriced drinks with no alcohol, inedible wings, and Kraft dressing to dip them in. Add in it cost 25 dollars to park there for dinner and drinks for a few hours and it isn't remotely worth it.

The food was delicious, but there was a big convention happening there when I went. Unbeknownst to me the menu was changed to accommodate the influx of people to just do the quick things on their menu; most of which were not the things I was going there to eat. However, the few items I did get we're good. The service was slow because of all the people, but at least everyone was friendly.

Going to a concert at Orchestra Place, we booked the Hyatt Regency for its close proximity to the venue. On a very wintry February weekend, the massive fireplace in the lobby area was a cheery welcome, complete with cozy spots to repose while waiting on friends, a town car, or with a drink from the nearby restaurant/bar. The staff was equally welcoming, making check-in a breeze and even presenting guests with roses (it was Valentine's weekend). Though they were quite busy with people coming and going to dinner and shows, the valet staff was prompt and efficient. We elected to dine on site at the Prairie Kitchen & Bar, having checked it out online ahead of time. The restaurant was making some menu changes and operating on a more limited menu than featured online, but they went to the trouble of preparing an appetizer we wanted to order, even though it was now off menu. And while other menu items we anticipated ordering were also absent, the dishes we experienced were wonderful, and our server Jessica was a delight as well. We would dine there again even if we weren't guests. Our room was well-appointed with fridge, coffee maker, etc. We especially liked that the bath had a separate vanity area next to the sink for applying makeup. We opted for the city view, which gave us some distance from the elevators, and we slept uninterrupted from 1:00am to 9:00am. Thank you very much! The front of the property is a little tricky to get to, but that's not uncommon in downtown Minneapolis with the buses, commuter trains, one-ways, etc. All-in-all, we felt the entire staff at the Hyatt Regency went the extra mile to make certain we had a great stay. We will definitely return and highly recommend this hotel to others.

Good food and friendly server. The only negative is that headlights from cars pulling into the drive at the hotel shine directly into your eyes because the eating area is below grade. Lowering the window coverings might help but perhaps another kind of filter is needed. Very distracting for the person getting the light in their eyes and their guest, who sees lights constantly going across the other person’s face.

We love Prairie Kitchen and we ate there 3 times this past weekend. The employees are always helpful and friendly. The price is always a bit on the high side but to us worth it to bring out of town guests and have locally sourced food. The problem this weekend was a couple of quality issues in the food. We ordered cheese curds and entrees and several other 'sharables' for dinner and it was all brought out together which was fine. But then about 5 min later they brought out the curds saying, they almost forgot these. Not sure what happened but EVERY single one was an empty fried shell that the cheese had escaped from. Disappointing. I feel this should have been caught in the kitchen since they were visibly 'well done' and had open holes. Another meal had the cheese melted away on the nachos and when asked if they could bring a salsa or pico sauce for dipping in, a bowl of watery hot sauce was brought which didn't work at all. Minor issues in all but when you make a place a destination for the food you expect a certain level of quality. We will give it another try since we do love the hotel and the theme of the restaurant, but already checking nearby eateries in case problems persist. thank you for you time.

Food came overcooked, twice. Send it back once, the next time I just ate the salad and left the meat. My friend's food also came overcooked.

Good food, but evening started off poor from hostess experience. Not enough staff to get people seated during dinner rush. Another party cut in line, and the hostess seated them in front of everyone else, and told us they had a reservation. We also had a reservation but clearly didn’t matter. Really disorganized and the wait for getting seated and food prep almost made us miss our show (we were there 2 hours in advance). If you’re staying at the Hyatt and have no plans, it’s not a bad spot, otherwise I wouldn’t bother.

This is our stealth restaurant.
We often go before a concert.
We can always count on a menu somewhat different than last time, but always with sufficient choice for our group.
And we can always count on it being pretty quiet (usually) and can always count on the food being good.
Not sure you can ask for more..

Don't go there. I wanna keep it secret...

Would have made my reservation earlier if the listing on the website was accurate. When we arrived at 6, the sign had happy hour listed as everyday from 3-6pm, their website states Monday-Friday. When I mentioned this to the host that seated my party he said he would ask if they could make an exception, he never came back. One of my guests asked if there was a stout and the waitress said no. He found it in the beverage menu after ordering an IPA. He pointed this out and the waitress offered to get him that beer but by this time we had already had a few sips of our drinks and just wanted to get on with ordering our dinner. Will not be returning to this restaurant.

The beef brisket with creamed corn and blue cornbread was AMAZING. The atmosphere was a bit rowdy due to the St. Patrick's Day parade. How we wished that our waitperson knew when to show up and when not to take our plates away! And why, WHY must there always be TVs everywhere? This food was worth concentrating on all by itself!

Food and service were kind of slow -- and we were the only Thanksgiving diners in the restaurant, food was a mix of very good (ribeye steak, apple/blueberry crumble, cinnamon cake) or just ok (stroganoff, chocolate torte), strawberry mojito was so awful that I sent it back, server was friendly, attractive decor

We really enjoyed our late lunch after the Orchestra Hall Coffee Concert. Everyone enjoyed their selections except for the wild rice cakes that seemed to be resting on catsup - no flavor at all. However, the flatbread, brisket sliders, and smoked salmon were perfection. The service was friendly and attentive. We will certainly put this on our list of restaurants to revisit.

Given reservations I expected a hostess but they were disorganized and a bar staff person fumbled around for some time then eventually seated us. It took awhile for a server to come out to us on the patio. She was a decent server but all.staff were way to casually dressed and demeanor and the image this hotel and establishment is trying to project. Despite $25M hotel makeover the outdoor patio was in disarray with unusually scattered and disheveled furniture with, worn out looking almost appeared like this was some back alley, staff smokers lounge when guests aren't around. disappointment for our romantic, outdoor dining on such a lovely night. They allow glass outside and classically a patron shattered one...I am not sure it completely got cleaned up. With a 300+, classy event of monied folks on-site you would think they would be on their game. The restaurant was barely half full as of 7pm on a Saturday night and most of those patrons appeared to be attendees of the event or hotel guests. Our bbq chicken flat bread appetizer was good but needed more spices and for our entree's our burger was ok, the beef brisket (chef's recommendation)was surprisingly generous and very good although the grilled corn on the cob was tiny kernalled and the blue cornbread unmemorable. The menu was small and lacking chicken dishes. The waitress wasn't up to speed on the drink menu and couldn't describe the offerings...really? Improvements and enhanced marketing need to happen as this place is definitely operating at a loss even on weekends despite the indoor ambience. To bad as it has potential if they can get people to go that far south on Nicollet Avenue. Construction across the street thru at least 2017 so beware outdoor dining might be noisy weekdays.
