This place is such a gem! From the awesome service to music to the ambiance. The drinks were delicious too. They require you to leave your phones at the front, so forces you to unplug. Highly recommend!

As a frequent user of OpenTable one gets accustomed to the expectation of a certain degree of service and experience. This reservation was made on the premise this was a speakeasy. Upon arriving it was an overcrowded college party. The volume was high enough that not only is it an occupational hazard for those who work there but high enough to cause long term health concerns for patrons, well above 110db. We had reservations and we were sat on a small booth shared with 5 other women. Meanwhile the entire room seemed like a fire hazard from it being so overcrowded with couples and college singles standing around trying to hear one another. Please read the reviews, this is NOT worth the time, nothing but a misleading novelty. We sat for about 3 minutes and decided our hearing and peace of mind was of far more value. We kept getting told, oh its a speakeasy during the weekdays. THEN ADVERTISE THAT AS SUCH! It's clearly quantity over quality here. We went back to our suite at Hotel Zaza and enjoyed roof top drinks and ended the evening with room service.

Rafeal was fantastic, All the appetizers were very, very good! Especially the smash burgers. Best dirty martini I’ve had! We will definitely be back soon! Make reservations so you get a great table.

Coolest speakeasy I’ve been to so far in Austin as it is actually a little hard to find and I do LOVE that they take your phones. Drinks aren’t as fancy/curated as some, but still good. However, the 2 hour time limit doesn’t bother me at all, but how they went about it kinda sucked. I saw them do the same thing to the people next to us and they had the same response/reaction. You take our phones so at least have little clocks all over the building or on the table (hourglass maybe?) because if you tell us we have to be out by a certain time, it makes it hard when you don’t know what time it is. Second of all, it’s pretty unprofessional to have a manager come over (very awkwardly might I add) to ask us to leave when we don’t even have the check yet. I’ve managed fine dining restaurants with enforced time limits and a lot of that responsibility does fall on the server. When the time limit is almost up and you are doing “one last round” go ahead and remind us of the time and drop the check if we aren’t ordering anything else so that when you have to give us a warning to leave all we have to do is finish our drinks and it’s not such a surprise. Overall, great place and I will be going back. But for the ambiance and the price, the steps of service better match.

This place has a great concept and flow. The interior is very well done, and our server enhanced our experience. Where the ball was dropped was their strict policy of asking you to leave after a certain amount of time. I was unaware of the 90-105 minute time cap for a reservation. This led to a very awkward informing of our approaching time cap as they served our next round of drinks. They let us know we could continue the evening at the bar, however there were no seats available at the bar. 10 out of 10 until we were told they needed the table back for another reservation, and they didn’t provide alternative seating. A place striving for top tier quality service, drinks, and ambiance should not have a herding or carousel model for their guests.

Everything is fabulous here except the menu right now (may 2025) looks cheap. Apparently they’re redoing them. Also can we just have a rule that cell phones stay in our pockets/purses rather than collecting them?

Absolutely loved the strict no phone policy. Was sad not to be able to take photos because it is absolutely stunning inside, but quality time present with friends is worth more than a photo.
