Potente is a sophisticated and upscale Italian restaurant located in downtown Houston led by Executive Chef Danny Trace. Every dish is locally sourced and uses only the highest quality ingredients. Try our chef favorite homemade pasta with black truffles shaved table side, petite filet with pistachio gremolata and homemade desserts sure to delight!

Our attire is relaxed formal. Shorts, hats, sneakers, torn clothing and sweat pants not permitted.

    Amazing! As always. My grandson was thrilled to finally get to try octopus and he loved it. The butternut squash hummus was delicious. Everything is always perfect at Potente. Thank you, Danny, and team. 💖

    This restaurant was highly recommended by Gary at The Lancaster hotel….I opted for bar seating by the window….I absolutely had the best experience ever in a new restaurant 10/10…..host, Server Kaci, and every bite of food & cocktails were chef kiss…. special small bite sent by the chef, bread service, Elle Spaghetti, crème brûlée, and cocktail to pair….I am highly expressed with the service ….I look forward to the next visit! Cheers to a wonderful dinner & life!

    Everything was excellent as usual especially the food and service. Our waitress, Kristine, was excellent and had great recommendations along with our sommelier, Andrea. My wife and I highly recommend Potente and will be returning.
