The service was outstanding as the waiters and servers checked in on us occasionally, but also gave us space to dine without distraction. They filled up our waters, the food came out very quickly, and the pasta was excellent. We had a white pizza with salumi, as well, and it was very salty for our tastes, though the crust was great. Overall, the ambience is nice, and the restaurant made us feel like home.

Excellent restaurant with dishes that you won't make yourself (which is why we dine out). Different drink menu - had a very refreshing Cucumber/Prosecco drink - which I will try to duplicate since it was that good. Gnocchi was light and creamy - short ribs melted in mouth. A heads up - this place is noisy. It vibrates with energy - the place is hopping. If you are looking for an intimate quiet dinner - go elsewhere.

I have been here more than a dozen times, but the service is not always consistent. The restaurant was busy with several large groups, but nothing beyond a normal busy Saturday night. We ordered a starter that arrived in the normal expected wait time. But then issues arose: My pasta main came, but the person I was dining with waited more than 15 minutes and never had his pizza arrive. Finally we had to flag down our waitress, who had not checked on us though she has walked by several times, to tell her our pizza had never arrived. I had to eat my pasta to avoid it getting cold. Finally a few minutes later, after I had completely finished my main course, the other guest's pizza arrived. This is just not acceptable. Obviously one dish may come out quicker than another, but the way this happened, with such a long delay, meant we really couldn't eat together, and we felt like we had to were waiting on service the entire hour and a half we were there. Dessert also took a little while, as did getting the check. I'd hesitate to go back unless I have a solid 90 minutes or 2 hours to dine. The service is normally fine, but this is the second time we've had to play this waiting game. It's a pity, because the food is excellent, it's a good value, and a good location with a nice interior space.

I love Posto. Italian isn't usually my go-to for eating out, but I find myself going to Posto over and over. Food is always spot on, the menu changes often enough but the standards are always there (the short rib gnocchi is a MUST), totally serviceable wine list, and won't break the bank. Can get a bit loud, but nice decor, good drinks, good food. I've never been disappointed here.

The pizza and breadsticks at Posto were excellent! The atmosphere is also nice and the food is very fast! The only complaint I have is that I didn't recognize any of the beers on the menu. Very good!

We chose Posto for a dinner celebration during my daughter's graduation weekend at Tufts. We were not disappointed. Food was awesome, service was even better. Thoroughly enjoyed our inside table, but for a less formal occasion, the outside tables looked very inviting as well.

The food is very fresh but a little pricey $19 for a bowl of spaghetti without any type of protein on it seems a little expensive. Ordered the appetizer of meatballs which was $15 and though they were very good I don't know if I can justify $34 on spaghetti and meatballs. Bruschetta was my favorite! Would maybe go next time just for appetizers and a cocktail.

We enjoyed our meal here for four people on a weekday night, when Posto was lively as always. Calamari was fresh, not too greasy, and the beet salad was excellent. Our two guests loved their pasta, one a gnocchi. I thought the pizzas, for a change, were less successful. We had two and the crusts were flabby, perhaps undercooked. Leaving the crust aside, the pear white pizza was tasty and unusual, but I didn't love the spicy sausage pizza. The spiciness overwhelmed the other tastes. Service was casual but attentive. We'd still go back.

Posto is a go-to for Italian around Davis Square. I think I get the risotto arancini every time I'm there - they're made of yum. It's nothing fancy, but the servers are lovely and personable, and I've never had a bad meal. Great for a simple dinner and glass of wine.
