   Just what Fairfield county needed A fantastic barbecue restaurant A stylish restaurant with attention to details We very much enjoyed everything we ordered Barbecue meat was all cooked to perfection Nice to see the owner check on all the tables to make sure everyone was happy Her hospitality was much appreciated Definitely give this restaurant a try

    Food was excellent! Service was very good. The noise level was exceptionally loud difficult to have table conversation without shouting! I would definitely return for the food but request seating away from the bar in other part of dining room.

    We brought out of town guests and all agreed that the samplers we had & the price were a great value & absolutely delicious! Only small complaint was we waited for our order to be taken. We’ll be back.

    The food was alright. We got the pulled pork and it didn’t have much flavor. Wish it had more bbq sauce or have sauces at the table that you can choose from. The wings were a bit burnt. The wait time for everything was insane. From placing our order to getting the food to then getting our check and box to go.

    I would highly recommend Post Oak BBQ. We took our boys while visiting them at college and it was a great for everyone. The staff was very pleasant and friendly. The BBQ was very good, just enough food, not too much or too little. Sides were also very good. Just a great, fun place to have great food and atmosphere.

    Probably the best local source for good bbq. There are other bbq restaurants that are better, but they are a 30-40 minute drive. So, when craving good bbq and not up for a long drive, this place is a good choice. Food is consistently good and it's a fun, casual environment.

    Uneven performance on food: beautifully smoked, tender brisket and pulled pork, but Mac & cheese tasted like it was out of a box, and nachos had ballpark-style “cheez” sauce instead of actual cheese. We expected more

    Our server, Maria, was very attentive, friendly, and professional. She circled back to our table often to see if we needed anything. Other support staff cleared dishes, refilled water bottles, and brought “to go” containers with great efficiency. Food was superb - we had different varieties of the smoker specials. Sides were delicious. We tried and loved the Buffalo style cauliflower vegan wings. For the table we shared a very tasty strawberry shortcake served in a very interesting way with stacks of cake and ice cream. Worth the calories especially since our tame party of four did not overindulge. We did not feel rushed at all, so a relaxing dinner was most welcome. I would not hesitate at all to return again multiple times. Bonus is the Black Rock section of Bridgeport! Very close to a beautiful walk along St. Mary’s by the Sea. Park City Music Hall a stones throw away, so this great barbecue venue is a great find either before or after the superb music shows at PCMH. Post Oak bbq is a definite yes.

    Very happy to discover this new spot in the area! Authentic BBQ with a sophisticated/casual vibe. Particularly impressed with their cocktail menu and draft/wine list. Food choices all sounded great and with stuff that you wouldn't find on every other menu around town including many shareable apps, salads, and sides. We came for the BBQ though: Brisket and ribs both with a great rub and smoke flavor, very tender and delicious. Service was friendly and attentive and the patio and outside areas are really nice. Highly recommended.

    This was our fourth visit to Post Oak, and as always it didn’t disappoint. Outside area is lovely, staff was friendly and food was delicious. So nice to have a barbecue restaurant in the neighborhood!

    Our first visit to Post Oak Barbeque did not disappoint. We had the triple sampler, 1/2 rack of ribs and the brisket. All great especially the brisket. We also had the street corn and a specialty cocktail to top it off. We will definitely be back.

    This restaurant has a smoking section outdoors, so be aware that your meal on a lovely summer evening may be ruined, as ours was, by a table full of people who had been drinking their dinner and chain-smoking Marlboros. The owner, when it was brought to his attention, shrugged and said, “There is nothing I can do. It’s always been a smoking section.” A ludicrous comment for an establishment that’s been open a couple of months! His approval of a smoking section will ensure that we will not dine here again.

    Awful from the moment we walked in. Got seated at a table right next to the door sun was beating in sir conditioning in this room non existent waited 25 minutes for our drinks. Waitress was horrible. Hostess was horrible. Food was dry everything awful!!!!

    The BBQ meats were great. The sides left a bit to be desired. The service was poor. We arrived when there were only about 5 tables seated, the waitress brought us drinks and took our order and then didn't return to the table for 65 minutes. We had to get another round of drinks and our food attended to by the bus staff. We got a "sorry we are short staffed" when the check was delivered, but they were not short-staffed, at all, for the volume when we arrived. Maybe by the time we left but the damage was done at that point. The food made up for it, but don't go if you're in a rush.
