Great Father’s Day brunch!
Let me start by saying: I eat. A lot. And I love it when I or my wife don't have to cook. So when my wife decided to plan an overnight trip to my dear northeast PA, I looked forward to the eating. That's what a culinary podcast host does, I suppose. (Coarse Grind Podcast, for those interested 😉)
The ambience of the place? Stellar. Menu selection? Varied. Drink selection? Stunning (Highly recommend the Brotherly Love).
But let's talk the big two - Food and Service. THIS is where Posh shined tonight.
Casey. Our meal started with a friendly name and face who cared for us through the evening, recommending and guiding. The charcuterie board and carrot soup was spectacular as starters (slight issue with cheeses listed was quickly attended to by Casey).
Next, dinner - And an example of customer service like few others I've witnessed. My wife went with the flatbread - Great. I got the ribs (Brazilian/dry rub style). Within a couple bites, it was clear that said ribs were dry. It happens, it's food, and they can continue to cook once removed. Unlike my typical self, I informed Casey of the situation - Reminding him I was more trying to just inform than complain.
Cue the example...
Within SECONDS, the owner and manager came over to address the situation. In less than 5 minutes, I had a replacement dinner of their Gnocchi with duck confit ragout. Complete with unnecessary copious apologies.
THE GNOCCHI. OH DEAR GOD. Calling this a smart plate of food would be a marked understatement. Fry the gnocchi, add duck? Italian grandmothers EVERYWHERE just died a little.
Topped off with a complimentary dessert which will likely have me in the cardiologists office within a week or two...Posh is an example of a good restaurant with solid variety/inspiration...
...but, most of all? A staff who will take care of your every need. Can't wait to see you folks again. 5/5

We had a drink in the bar which was lovely, then we sat at a two person table and had no difficulty with the noise level. Our waiter was helpful and friendly and our food arrived quickly. I had the tuna, my husband had skirt steak and both were excellent. We enjoyed the evening very much.
The food was very good and the service excellent but they were out of our main two dishes we went there for.
Great as always! Manager (Cindy) is so personable and accommodating! Service and food were terrific!
We came to POSH tonight to try some of their new apps that we have heard so much about(and some to try again because we loved them so much). Tonight we tried the Electric City Shrimp which were terrific, a bite with some heat and loads of flavor, they were a fan favorite at our table. We also got the Cauliflower Bites which had an even spicier kick to them and were delicious. They’re almost too delicious because you can keep popping them in your mouth, they’re that tasty. I would definitely suggest getting both of these apps if you like some heat, and I will probably end up getting them again on our next visit.
Great time with friends enjoying Sunday brunch. Food and service was enjoyable. Looking forward to going back.
They had a special menu for college graduation. Food and service was excellent
We had a delicious lunch with dessert. Our server was good and did not rush us.
I would go there again.
We came to POSH on a Thursday for their Lobster special but upon hearing their specials, we actually decided to try something new. We had their Filet flatbread which was delicious and the cuts of meat on it melted in your mouth. We also tried the cauliflower bites which may be one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. If you like some spice, you must try them! Also the electric city shrimp was delicious as well. Service was stellar and our food came out particularly quick tonight too. Looking forward to next time!
Fantastic place with great service, our table was set up and ready by the time we got there. Food was really good, flavorful and at the right temperature.
We have eaten at posh many times and always loved it. This visit ,while the service was great, the food was terrible. I ordered seared tuna and received pan fried tuna about 3/8 of an inch thick which was far from what I expected. It didn't help that the tuna was tough. It was served on some sort of pasta that did not help.
In addition we ordered Canoe Ridge Merlot, but were served Canoe Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon - hardly the same wine.
A recommendation ? Not if this is what the food has become.
Wonderful Sunday brunch. Excellent service in a lovely atmosphere.
Brunch was amazing. They thought of all the nice touches to make it special. Outstanding professional service. We cant wait to return.
Excellent! Food was good and service was excellent. Great celebration for our daughters graduation
Always go to Posh when seeing a show at the Cultural Center. Service in impeccable. Food in awesome and the drinks are unique and delicious. Love the charm of the building and the area of Scranton.
After the show we had a perfect cocktail and dinner was delicious!
We had the filet medallions and pan seared scallops
Both dishes we excellent. Peanut butter explosion (we split) was fantastic!
I would return to Posh anytime I was in the area!!
I have always made brunch reservations the day of broadway theater, I had no idea Mother’s Day brunch was different, at no time did I see a notice as to the difference, I have always made the reservation for noon for the 1pm show. We got there this year and was totally blindsided by a buffet where u had to stand in line. Also, the price was not stated anywhere, and I did check the website for special Mother’s Day brunch, it was not listed. The price was exorbitant especially since we could not enjoy anything, we had just enough time to get some fruit and an omelet and then had to leave. I was shocked when I got the bill. I love the Posh and the food and service has always been excellent, however had I known that this time was going to b different, I would not have gone because of the timing. I would also never have submitted to that kind of brunch. I hate buffets. I really wish I had known otherwise.
For a busy Saturday evening , we were seated quickly and service was immediate. Great waiter with Casey.. attentive an sensitive tour need to get to theatre on time.. thank you! service was a nice pace .. not too rushed or slow.
Typically, we have always had a great meal at Posh. But this night the filet mignon was undercooked and cold, the tuna was cold, and my quinoa salad's presentation was unappetizing. It seems that when the theater crowd is in the food service gets worse because they're so busy.
This would have been a better review except that this restaurant is the "it" place to dine before Broadway Theater of Scranton, which is two doors down. I have dined there before and had exceptional meals but this particular time was very, very off. The food quality was below our previous visits though our waiter did everything in her power to make up for it. I highly recommend this restaurant but suggest one of the many other fine restaurants in Scranton on the nights of Broadway Theater shows.
Went to a play and in the playbill it stated that Posh was one of the restaurants that gave 10% off your bill if you showed your ticket--we informed the waitress of this but she neglected to take it off and most of pd by cc and when I called the restaurant today they told me I would have to have my cc receipt which I do not have--but I noticed I was charged full price for my meal as well as the other 6 people in my party--so the restaurant told me without a receipt they could do nothing for me--which is not a good business practice--and I will never return there again--besides if we only ordered entrees we would have starved to death--we ordered apps--Thank God--meals were awful. Food is subpar for the prices they charge--none of the 6 people in my party liked what they got we will nevvvvvvvvvvvvvver go back food sucks........it was expensive and not worthy of a review...........
The food was very good, the wait staff were extremely courteous, and they are very accommodating for seating but...
the noise level in the dining area was like being in a noisy bar or a high school cafeteria.
If you want good food and have a loud conversation, then it's fine.
Excellent as usual.
Came in for a late Wednesday night dinner at Posh while attending an out of town legal proceeding and was blown away by the quality and presentation of the food and the level of service. I will definitely be returning on my next visit to the Wilkes Barre area. Kudos to your fine establishment. Highest recommendation.
We went to Posh before a play. It was very busy but the service was great. We were attended to and never had to wait. The meal arrived and it was delicious. We got our check and had plenty of time to get to the play. The only con was the acoustics weren't good. With the entire restaurant full, it was very loud. Otherwise it was a wonderful evening.
Outstanding food and service. Worth a drive, perfect for special date or unique occasion.... or just because you want great food !! Never disappointed.
Owners/management and staff are all very accommodating and provide a great environment.
We thought the food would be good and it was better than we expected and the prices were a good value. The service was outstanding and the ambiance welcoming and high class.
Very nice experience with a great menu.
The service and the food was very good. The atmosphere is special.
While waiting for Beautiful to start we noticed that if we had presented our tickets we would have received a discount. I think it would be nice if your servers asked customers if they will be attending a show at the Cultural Center.
Always good food, excellent service, beautiful atmosphere.
I cannot thank Josh and the staff for helping make my night a successful one! The ballroom was the perfect backdrop for my new retro-inspired business kickoff event and mock wedding!
Table ready on arrival
Immediate attention - water glasses filled
Eric introduced himself - personal attn. “The table is yours for the evening.”
Drink order served
Meal service, refills, satisfaction check - all w/o prompting
Food served in timely manner - tasty and appropriate portions
Eric was superb! He’s an asset to your restaurant.
Food is fabulous and reasonably priced great ambiance, good staff. Second time here, just good.
Certainly one of the best "live" restaurants in the entirety of Scranton. Always a delight. Very good food. Terrific service. (Many places her have wait staff that does not know their menu.)
Lastly, very affordable.
From the second we walked in the door it was a gracious and smooth experience.
The wait staff was attentive but not overbearing and the ambience of the place made a hum drum business dinner a joy. We will be back next business trip!
We work in Quality improvement...no work needed here. LOL!
Brunch/lunch menu options were creative and our selections delicious. POSH ambiance is relaxing and service was impeccable. We plan to return in April and again in June for a special event.
After reading the reviews and walking past this place and seeing a big crowd, I was very excited to go. The decor is beautiful and the presentation of the food was great. However, the actual taste was not what I expected for the price and the way this place looked. It was just ok, even the highly recommended Lobster Mac and Cheese wasn’t as flavorful as I expected.
Great food and service. Our waitress Catherine was the best!
