Posh was perfect! A girl's lunch out after massages. The food was excellent and our server was super attentive!
Great service!! It was busy but we still had good food and great service!!!
I have been a regular customer at POSH for years. The food, staff, and restaurant are outstanding!
POSH is consistently good. Best place to dine before attending a show at the Scranton Cultural Center. Makes an ordinary evening feel special.
We've only ever ordered soups and sandwiches in the past, but we decided to branch into the full dinner menu. So we paid double our normal bill in order to get crunchy, under cooked risotto, dry, tasteless chicken, and heavily salted scallops. Service also took forever, which we chalked up to how busy they were ... until the table seated 15 minutes after us got their entrees 5 minutes before we did. We'll be back, but we'll stick to the under $12 menu.
We have visited Posh many times, in fact, it is our favorite restaurant in the area. That said, this was the first disappointing meal that we had - just not up to the usual standards. The dining room was very noisy - granted it was a Friday night with many events going on in town, but the food was just not up to their usual. It was fine - it just wasn't delicious.
Great staff - particularly the City Bar tenders. The food is good and the portions generous. The ambiance is great for a date-night or taking friends you want to talk to and not have to yell at. We go as often as we can.
My husband and I went to Posh for New Year's Eve and everything was outstanding. I was a little worried about our 9pm reservation and the prix fix menu but the food was hot, delicious and perfectly prepared. I had the fillet medallions that a perfect medium rare and my husband had the chicken saltimbocca and he said it was delicious. Our appetizers and salads were excellent as well. This was our first time at Posh despite being local residents and we will certainly be back. Brenda was our waitress and was a sweetheart and very attentive. Thank you for a lovely evening.
Great New Year’s Eve dinner!!
Food and service is outstanding! The mixed drinks were also great.Overall we could not ask for anything better. The decor and overall experience is second to none.
Great place. They always put out a great menu.
Beautiful atmosphere..fantastic food..staff was fabulous and friendly
The pretention starts with the name and continues with the ambiance. The service was attentive and included interesting conversation with our waiter. It may be a top restaurant in town, but we found the food mediocre. The fresh Day Boat Scallops were over cooked and dry, and while accompanied by well roasted and seasoned vegetables, they were mired in a bland risotto mush that recalled baby food. The salmon was succulent but covered in a cloying sweet glaze. Again the roasted vegetables were excellent, but the large lump of mashed butternut squash was tasteless.
Friends exchanging Christmas gifts at dinner!
First time visiting Posh, we enjoyed brunch very much. The room was decorated so nice for the holidays. We were greeted upon entering the restaurants lobby.
Our waiter Eric was pleasant, and attentive.
We will most def be back. Next time for dinner..
food was great.. we had dinner prior to going to see The Sound of Music at the Cultural Center. Service was great and food is wonderful.. my favorite is the charcuterie board! We will be back!
The food was delicious and the atmosphere delightful! Never disappoints!
Staff is very attentive from the time you enter the building! Holiday decorations were festive and perfect for the venue!
I love this restaurant. I have been there a few times and every time the food has been great. The service good and the atmosphere very nice. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to friends and family . It’s a great asset to downtown Scranton 😊
Had a disappointing evening. Entree arrived before we were finished with Salads. Had to send mine back to be reheated. Was still only lukewarm. They did make up for it with an excellent pumpkin Martini for desert.
Was totally rushed thru dinner.
Dining with friends
Food was really amazing!! However would be really great if there are fewmore vegetarian options available!! Great food!!
We celebrated our first away from home Thanksgiving and it was perfect! All of the food was delicious and the service was impeccable. It had a very cool vibe to it and made me feel like I was in NY not Scranton.
Had a party of 9 that they were easily able to accommodate with a reservation almost 7 days out. Table was ready upon arrival and allowed us to sit without the entire party present, which was nice. Food service was okay, a little slow. The menu could be a little more descriptive, as several of us were surprised by our food choices. Deserts left a little to be desired. They ran out of one of them, the skillet cookie. Which was disappointingly served cold. End of the night we discovered the red paint on the water glasses had been chipping off all night and we had been ingesting it. The manager was kind enough to compensate us for our troubles. Overall, it just feels like the place is slightly over reaching how “fancy” it is. We’ll give it another try for date night, but probably not for another family gathering.
My family had a wonderful dining experience at POSH, the staff was friendly, the decor was lovely and elegant, and the food was delicious!
Been to Posh with my wife several times. unfortunately this time not as pleasant an experience.
Welcome to call me. 570 647-7978 Bill Musgrove
The service and food are always extraordinary. My husband and I enjoy dinner before the Broadway shows. Convenient and guaranteed to be great!
Friendly bartender prior to dinner, excellent table service and the executive chef was especially nice when we spoke to him.
Great food, great service, very nice atmosphere. Looking forward to returning soon!
My husband took me to POSH for our Anniversary and it was a perfect night out. Our server, Rose, was extremely attentive to our needs and we never had to ask for another drink, because she had us covered. The cocktail list is a good size and their nightly feature, some kind of a Moscow Mule, was delicious.
I got the Lobster special, which was quite big for just $19.99, and delicious, while my husband got one of their nightly features, Meatloaf, which he raved about. Dinner was delicious and we split a dessert, a chocolate/peanut butter cake, that was rich, creamy, and delectable. All in all, a 5 star review for sure
Looking forward to our next visit!
Great service, excellent food, popular spot on a Saturday night. Would absolutely go back!
We tried POSH on a busy Thursday night where it seemed everyone around us was trying their Lobster special. So we decided to give that a try, and it was melt in your mouth delicious, I’m so glad I tried it, and I’m usually not a seafood person.
My wife decided to give the Chicken Parm Gnocchi a try. She said the chicken was so tender and delicious and the sauce was creamy and delicious, and very unique as well. She only finished about 1/2 of her dinner, the portion was very generous. We also tried the chocolate peanut butter cake for dessert and that was one of the most delicious cakes we ever tried.
Service was very good despite the busy nature of restaurant, and we did not wait long at all for food either.
Classy atmosphere and decor. The staff was very welcoming, food was great, and the pace of the meal was nice. We didn't feel rushed at all. The only thing we found to be mediocre were the cauliflower bites, they were ok, but nothing special. Everything else was very tasty! John the bartender whipped up a fantastic Pumpkin Pie Martini that made my night! We will certainty be back!
We were celebrating a birthday and our guest of honor (my brother) requested to go to POSH, and we were sure glad he did. We got a little bit of everything from apps to entrees and each was delicious. We had a few children with us and were very nervous about their behavior and it being a fine dining establishment but the staff, especially Cindy, went above and beyond to make them feel special and welcome. I look forward to coming back for future family gatherings/date nights. Some members of our party went to the Oak Bar prior and they all had excellent things to say about their drinks and the atmosphere of the Oak Bar as well.
Just average. Food came out luke warm. Complimentary pretzels were on the stale side. Just ok.
We have students at local universities. We regularly choose Posh for dinners when we are in town. We are never disappointed. However, on Saturday 9/22, we were. The pretzels delivered as a complimentary treat were few and not very good. Two of our meals arrived before the remaining two. We waited a long time for last 2 meals to come. The crab cakes were large "meatball shape" and very undercooked. It was questionable as to whether they should have been eaten. Three meals were served with mashed potatoes which were plentiful but ordinary. All meals were served with broccoli and asparagus in large pieces, steamed with no seasoning, butter, etc. One meal was chosen to come with Posh fries which could have easily been served at a regular bar food place. For the price of the meals here, we were so very disappointed. We will wait quite a while before choosing Posh again. We're very disappointed as the location, atmosphere and generally the menu, is very very good.
Food was ok, but won’t go back again. Was in the area visiting my daughter in Scranton. Would try some place else next time.
This is one of my favorite go to restaurants in Scranton!! The food is always amazing
Decided to check out POSH b/c we heard an ad on the radio for its Lobster Night. First time we ever have visited and I must say that everything was delicious, the Lobster is unbelievable, well worth the trip alone. My spouse tried one of their signature cocktails, a Poshtini, and it was to die for. We already reservations in for next week, looking forward to trying POSH again. The staff is friendly and courteous, we noticed the Manager and Owner(I believe) checking in on guests, greeting patrons, and they made us feel very welcome and almost grateful that we chose their establishment for dinner, very refreshing! It’s also so very elegant inside that you feel like you’re experiencing a bit of local history. What a great place to have in downtown Scranton!
Eric was a great waiter, made my girlfriends 30th birthday extra special which made her really happy and overall had a great experience. He always came over and filled out glasses for wine which was an extra perk! Food was excellent as well, we got filet mignon and it was soooo incredibly tasty.
