Tyler Anderson is a sweet gem of a chef and may he shine forever.

Kayleigh was a wonderful server and all the food was exceptional. My husband and I split several tapas and a bottle of wine. The portions were generous enough that we were both satisfied. And of course we had dessert. The churros were to die for. We will definitely be back very soon!

The ambiance is beautiful, but prepare yourself to over pay for mediocre food.

Was really looking forward to a nice dinner - and while it was “okay”, nothing we had except dessert really excited us. Everything was “interesting”. We had at least 8 different tapas and do bd at least two to be too salty. Others so-so, chocolate donut bread pudding and churros worth the trip!

Went here for Taste of Hartford and was not disappointed. Ordered the paella with a friend and it was excellent. Definitely will come back to this cute spot.

We love this placeand have gone several times. The only area for improvement is "staff Training." The waitstaff is warm, friendly and well intentioned. We especially appreciate that diversity seems to be a hiring consideration. Well Done !!

BUT they waitstaff needs to be better trained in the essentials of professional service. e.g. Don't pick up one diner's plate, if the other diner is still eating. Wipe the crumbs and water drops off the table between courses. Etc. etc. Please forward this information to the owners.

We'll be back !

The overall experience was really good and we will go back. Unfortunately we were sat in the back dining room next to the swinging kitchen door. Although Curtis our server was very conscious of the noise and made sure he closed it gently, the other staff did not. You can imagine that listening to the swinging door throughout our meal was a bit distracting. The only other minor thing was that our last glass of wine in the pairing was served in a rocks glass. Our server was excellent and made our overall experience much better.

Service was a bit sparse, likely owing to the fact that it was Taste of Hartford 2018 and Porron's amazing food attracted quite the crowd!

Taste of Hartford 2018. Paella and Duck Laegs were excellent. I would encourage friends and family to try it.

Best restaurant in a hotel I've ever been to.

We made a last minute reservation and when we arrived on time, the restaurant was very busy and we were directed to Pino, the separate bar down the hall to await a table. The bar is a unique and really comfortable circular room with wrap around padded bench seating and small tables and deep armchairs. Started on our drinks and were collected for our table after 15 minutes. The hostess was really apologetic about the wait, which we didn't mind at all and said so. Even so, as we sat, we were brought a board with complimentary cheese and olives. Friendly, professional, and thoughtful staff, even when a bit flustered on a busy night!

We ordered small plates which were unique and delicious. Prices were very reasonable for the quality of food, service and atmosphere.

When out-of-town family arrived in advance of our wedding, we decided to try P & P for a special dinner. I was a little skeptical, because the restaurant that had occupied the space previously wasn't great. This restaurant is great. We could not have been more delighted, from the craft cocktails and tapas to the richly satisfying entrees. So many flavors! My mom is notoriously picky - she tasted everything and enjoyed it all. The service was terrific and so warm and friendly. Do yourself a favor and go here now. Yes, right now. Go.

Everything about this restaurant was great: situated in a renovated old hotel now a boutique hotel; fantastic, really cool pre-dinner bar area with leather lounge couches and creative drinks; separate dining room nice ambience and comfortable; wait staff really friendly and knowledgeable; food taste fantastic and very authentic Spanish cuisine. All in all great in every category.

My husband and I were excited to try the tapas. We decided to stick with just tapas. When we have done this at other Spanish restaurants the tapas would come out slowly, scattered. We ordered 7 and they all came out at the same time or within 1-2 minutes of each other. It was difficult to eat this much food before it got cold. We also filled up very quickly. The food was delicious, the idea of tapas wasn’t exactly understood. Service and atmosphere were great!!

I really loved the space and we were seated in a circular booth which I liked. Unfortunately the food lacked seasoning and flavor of any kind. The cheese and ham plates were the best parts of our meal. Oh yes, and the wine list was amazing.

Looking for a good quality restaurant in Hartford on a Sunday evening, and fell lucky with this one. Good wine list to accompany good food. Apart, perhaps, from some New World ingredients, this restaurant would have a sound reputation in Northern Spain. Not used to seeing Tapas as part of the regular menu, and the Tapas themselves were larger than expected (which meant we over-ordered). Pricing was also for a speciality restaurant in the US, rather than a quality local restaurant in Spain. However I would be happy to recommend it - even to Spanish friends and colleagues.

We thoroughly enjoyed our experience at Porron and Pina. The atmosphere is fabulous and the pace of our dinner was outstanding. Tables are positioned close enough to engage with other patrons if desired, which we did, but not so close that you feel like you are not able to speak freely. The drink menu is vast and my husband liked the house made vermouth. If we are back in Hartford, we would absolutely return to dine!

Food was outstanding. Service was slow. My beer didn't find its way to the table for 25 min.
The waitress ordered the wrong entrée for me and the cappuccino was undrinkable.

They've only been open a month at the time of this review. We had a very personable waitress who interacted very nicely, but halfway through the meal was probably busy in a different room. A different waitress stepped in to help us though it was clear it wasn't her table. The food was very good and I'll recommend it highly. The bar service was horrible. We ordered a red sangria that they couldn't deliver. A replacement Tonic #1 also took far too long. The Tonic #2 (they have 3 different gin & tonics) made with yellow chartreuse was our favorite. We shared a Valencia Paella and can recommend it. The desserts were also tasty.

New and interesting. Glad to have a place to go for pre theater /concert. Food was interesting and very tasty. Host was very kind and sent over an additional Tapas.
Sitting in bar was ok ( booth sitting not that comfortable , needs breaking in alittle stiff)
Will try again aand ask for sitting with chairs at tables in back.
Overall, a thumbs up and will visit again.

Noise level was such that it was difficult to hold a conversation. However, the wait staff was very helpful and engaging. Food was interesting and delicious. A few, strategically placed, tapestries would add considerably to the experience.

The staff was very friendly and efficient. Most of the meals were great except for one of our friends whose pork was mostly fat. We were in a hurry to get to a play so she didn't return it. appetizers were excellent. Was not impressed with the almond torte it was very dry. I would go back and probably request the same waiter (Jeff) who was friendly and helpful in wine and food selections.

Wings were amazing and the wines by the glass list is excellent as it was easy to find one to pair with the authentic, exotic dishes. Great for dates or special occasions. Will try sitting in the bar next time!

This was our first visit to Porron and Pina, and we were very impressed. After a slight delay, our waitress appeared and was helpful and efficient. She was very well informed about the menu items and provided useful guidance. We ordered several tapas (small plates), which were all large enough to share. The menu provides a nice variety of vegetarian tapas for non meat eaters. We thoroughly enjoyed our selections and look forward to trying others on our next visit.
