   You can get fish in chips in any pub but poppies you can be sure you will get a decent cod or haddock loin rather than a sole of a shoe . Quality over quantity. This is what fish and chips should be .

   Poppies is wonderful - staff are attentive / decor and memorabilia is truly wonderful and the food is great ! Defo have the mixed platter !

   I had a pleasant dinner with my son. Although the place is far from where we live, it was worth the trip. The waitresses were extremely friendly and understanding that we were fasting and that when we requested for our food to be served at 6pm, they asked first it was already time to break our fast. They wanted to make sure that our meals and drinks were served hot.

   The waiters were extremely nice and warm. The best fish and chips in the city is the cuisine but also the team

   Made a reservation with specific requests. No one had read the message si our request wasn't met upon arrival. They tried to correct however at that point it was too late. It didn't make our experience as I had imagined. Having a child neuropsychiatric disabilities makes us plan all our visits to avoid things that can be triggering. To be seated near the window where there's a lot of different light sources blinking is a lot of impressions, to be seated next to a speaker playing loud music is overwhelming and to be seated where hot air is blowing on you directly is just uncomfortable. The seating we had ticked all these boxes and made it unbearable for my daughter to stay there anymore so we left earlier then i had expected. The food was ok although at previous visits it has been better. we
