Winner of the UK's Best Independent Restaurant of the Year, 2014. Pat 'Pops' Newland has been serving authentic British fish and chips in London since 1945, and from this he has recreated a restaurant serving one of Britain's best-loved dishes in a friendly setting, surrounded by authentic 1940s/50s memorabilia lovingly curated by Pops himself. Our menu includes sustainably-caught mouth-watering fresh fish cooked in crunchy batter, served with golden chips and classic mushy peas, prepared on the premises by our onsite fishmonger. You can also try the seafood platter, pies, chicken, or traditional east end classics like jellied eels, followed by traditional, indulgent English desserts such as sticky toffee pudding and apple pie. Drinks vary from fruit juices and traditional ginger ale, to carefully-picked wines and locally-sourced beers.

Came here specifically for the halibut, but they were out. The server recommended the skate as a similar option, but it was disappointing—stringy, watery, and completely lacking in flavor. The small individual jars of tartar sauce were off-putting; they didn’t seem sealed and had dried red sauce crusted around the lid and glass threading, like it had been reused. The restaurant itself was uncomfortably hot and greasy, and overall, the food was overpriced for the quality.

Fish and chips copieux dans un lieu historique. Le service est rapide. Le pot de sauce est un peu petit par rapport à la quantité de poisson. Le plat est un peu onéreux par rapport à d'autres fish and chips mais le poisson est qualitatif.

フィッシュ&チップスが美味しかったです！提供スピードもすごく早くて驚きました。ただ、帰るのを急かされている感じがしたのが残念でした。人気店だから早く席を空けたかったのかもしれませんが。
