   Hotel restaurant well filled with diverse resort guests. Spectacular lagoon sunset vistas from outdoor balcony with heaters serving excellent modern Mexican Californian fusion food. Unfortunately the knowledge of the waitstaff is shallow. Spawning oysters drew a blank stare. Otherwise, the service is endearing and very attentive, resort style. We loved the tequila tasting experience although remain unenthusiastic about tequila, we will remain with our preferences for scotch. For us who live in the neighborhood a great place to come a couple of times a year and to bring the out-of-towners and introduce them to modern Californian- Mexican food with a view.

   From start to finish everything was great! Our server, Alejandro was fantastic! Great cocktails, the menu is fabulous, with great flavor combinations and high quality ingredients. Fun night, the chef came out and said hello and explained the menu and concept for the restaurant. Overall an excellent evening!

   Norma was our server during our visit last night 4/20/25. She was absolutely fantastic—friendly, attentive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our meal. She had great menu suggestions and kept the vibe relaxed and enjoyable. She provided exceptional service from start to finish. She was courteous, and ensured our dining experience was seamless. Truly a standout member of the team. 👏🏻 Would definitely come back just for the great service!

   The ceviche made with coconut water was fabulous. The market fish was also great - very fresh and tasty. The service was excellent.

   We came during our honeymoon and we had the best time at Ponto Lago. Our waiter Udi was truly so so kind to me and my husband. He made the experience and the dinner so memorable. Shoutout to Udi for your superb service and kindness to us when we were celebrating!

    We tried the new ceviche. Fabulous! It was tasty and delicate and made with fresh coconut water. We then shared the crudo. Also, delicious. We each had the catch of the day, black seabass. It was great. I took some home and just had it with an arugula salad. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about our meal.
