I was very impressed with the service and food present. I would recommend to all I know
Our second time here and it was great. Management very professionally handled a question with the bill. I highly recommend! Great food and service.
My third visit to Pomodoro and the food is better every time!Hands down one of my favorite place to eat.Lets talk about one of the best homemade pasta you will have in your life. Yes you read that correctly.
short ribs ravioli and infused Fettuccine with lobster are my favorites.Every bite is “I can’t believe how good this is”.it’s that good.the environment is amazing, the staff is beyond awesome.
11/10 well done Pomodoro
Excellent service, food and ambience. First time in. Loved the eclectic tableware.
Having eaten here before we were looking forward to an excellent dining experience. Unfortunately, we were very disappointed in the food. Our $40 pasta dishes were over cooked and bland. Our appetizers were also mundane. A world of difference from our first experience!!
I order lobster. I was expecting more lobster. The tails were so small, I might have had 7 bites. It was smaller then the palm of my hand for both . They should be embarrassed to serve and charge $50.00 for this.
Food was great as well as service. We will be back.
Service was great, food was excellent, the whole experience memorable
5 stars restaurant !!We will be back
Pomodoro Italian Grill is a moderately price restaurant where all of their pasta is home made and cooked to order. As boring as this may sound, their spaghetti Alfredo is to die for and it's a side dish. The sauce is thick yet creamy not runny as I was expecting. Menu is well varied for all tastes. Very nice wine list as well. This will be our go to restaurant for sometime to come.
First time here. Great service.. We had the Caesar salad, salmon and chicken parmigiana. Loved the food. Prices were a tad bit high, but we will return.
great job in all facets of service, food and drink, congrats
Very enjoyable meal. Attentive and knowledgeable staff. We would go again.
Great experience!we made reservations,we arrived early and they seated us right away!
Zucchini flowers was excellent, crispy, small pieces easy to eat, nice sauce.
My veal Marsala was excellent.Perfect ratio of meat, sauce and pasta-it was really really good.
My son’s short ribs ravioli was excellent,I only wish my appetite was bigger so I could have eaten more of what he left on the plate (very big portion)
My husband had chicken parmigiana and I could tell it was good cuz he cleaned the plate.
I also loved their wine selection, for red lovers I recommend Chianti and Montepulciano.
Tiramisù was amazing!
Service was top notch, our server was friendly, attentive and knowledgeable about the menu.
We will definitely visit Pomodoro again and again
I Had the pasta trio, excellent.
My wife had the chicken piccata with a pasta Alfredo sauce. Excellent.
Service issues were the problem. Food was good. We waited several minutes to be seated. No one was up front. Food service was slow and they weren't exceptionally crowded. Most restaurants, however, has this same problem.
Very disappointed in the entire experience. The chairs are left over from the Cartright days before they want out of business. Extremely uncomfortable then and now. Serivce was very slow. Took forever to get icewater and cocktails. Everyone ordered a salad which turned out to be very good. The entrees were a different story. My chicken parmesan was not edible, tough and tasteless. My wifes short rib ravioli was not cooked. They did try to replace with just Ravioli but never adjusted the bill to reflect the change. If you must try this relatively new restaurant , do it soon, as I doubt they will be around much longer.
Incredible experience here! I would recommend this spot for a dinner with friends, a romantic night out, and everything in between. The owner caters to your every need and makes sure his customers are satisfied and treated INCREDIBLE. The staff is welcoming, and the vibes this restaurant obtains are the best. Extremely pleased with this quaint white tablecloth Italian restaurant.
Food: Terrific and the quantity you would expect an Italian mother to feed you..(hint: A Lot of food)
Overall, Amazing ,we loved it!
! Can’t wait to come back!
Perfect al dente,look no further.
New Yorker who’s been to plenty of high end restaurants in NYC.
The quality of the dishes were, hands down, the best I’ve had for Italian.Staff was amazing, but let’s go into the food and drink.I had the Fiori fritti to start, zucchini blossoms stuffed with goat cheese on a bed of sweet peas cream and marinara sauce on top:outstanding!Second course Pappardelle Fantasia:infused tomatoes pappardelle with ham, mushrooms, sausages and sweet peas in a mascarpone sauce.
If you are looking for a true al dente, this is it!thin or thick the pasta was perfectly cooked. Many places get close to getting al dente pasta, there is no need for a flight to Tuscany with Pomodoro !the pasta was mild melting perfectly.
Please try it,please try Pomodoro Italian!
What a gem !A friend recommended Pomodoro and while I was hesitant,I was pleasantly impressed at what they had to offer.Dinner is worth every penny I spent, great great food and excellent service, wonderful atmosphere.
One of the best restaurant experiences of my life.
We ate like we were in italy,we’ll be back
Service was OK, we didn’t get our bread until after our dinner was served. I ordered spaghetti and meatballs ( not on menu) and what I got was an appetizer size bowl of pasta and was charged $24.00 which is outrageous. The other dinners were good but pricey. I wouldn’t recommend this place to others. Thanks
Great Italian restaurants. Food and service is always top notch.
OMG!!home made fresh pasta absolutely amazing and cooked perfectly “al dente”.Service top notch and cozy atmosphere.
Pomodoro is an hidden gem !
We will definitely be back
I’d been putting off going here for a while but finally decided to try it. For what they’re charging I was not impressed. Food was nothing to write home about. “Fresh truffles” tasted like mushrooms trying to be passed off as truffles. Didn’t taste truffle at all. We got 2 slices of bread and one slice of prosciutto for the burrata. Was not impressed.
My husband got the cioppino and this was the only restaurant he’s ever gotten this meal (it’s a favorite in other places) where it didn’t come with pasta. They brought a tiny bowl for shells which tells you it wasn’t much sea food either, mostly a bowl of sauce. Very disappointing. Asked for a side of pasta because the meal wasn’t sufficient without it. $12 for a small side of spaghetti.
My lobster ravioli was just okay. Didn’t really have lobster flavor. Was displayed on a plate instead of a bowl so it got cold fast. Had to wait for Parmesan cheese.
If you’re going to spend $200 on a meal, don’t spend it here.
Great food, great service, pleasant dining environment. Would recommend to anybody seeking quality italian food. Online menu is not up to date.
My friend and I went for dinner. We were sent to back room by hostess, why at 4:15 and many open tables were we put in back room where within minutes a group of at least twelve came in for a reservation. Not good planning, we wanted a comfortable quiet table like the ones in front! The food was mediocre, fettuccine was supposed to be fresh but was heavy and not as good as some dry ones. Why was Bolognese only with Sausage? Not worth the $$$$
Chris was our server and he was FANTASTIC! Food was amazing and the chef even fixed me a dish that I love, but wasn't on the menu when we got there, it was on the web site. Chris said anytime I come in, I can request that dish and they will fix it for me! AMAZING! We ordered the FIORI FRITTI and it was delicious, very hard to find in restaurants, – We will be back! Thank you for a wonderful evening!!
The food was a little pricey but the taste was worth it. That's the best Veal Parmesan I've had in 20 years. The mussels as an appetizer was outrageous.
Our waitress was very friendly and efficient but the clean up staff was very clumsy breaking dishes several different times. Our food was good but not sure it was worth the price.
I’m hoping service was just off this night. Will give them another chance.
Our waitress was amazing, our dinner was fabulous, we had a wonderful dining experience
Food was great! Prices are on the high side but that’s typical for Cave Creek. Server was friendly and did an overall good job however we did have to wait longer then usual to get our check.
Great place. Wish they didn’t seat us next to a 12 top in the banquet room when we were only a two top. Will be back
We were so pleasantly surprised. Great menu, excellent presentation and professionally prepared. We eat out regularly, this our first time at Pomodoro Italian Grill, built first of many more. Excellent!
Authentic Italian food and excellent service from then minute you walk in. You will not be disappointed.
Outstanding Italian Restaurant in Carefree, AZ. The owner and his wife are lovely people who work hard to make your evening special. My husband and I would highly recommended dinner at Pomodoro's!
Our server was very friendly and informative too! The staff were all very attentive and friendly!
I had the chicken Marsala and it was delicious. The alfredo that came with it was also amazing. My husband had the Bolognese and loved it. We are looking forward to going back to this restaurant.
Amazing food! Incredible!! Will definitely be back!
Very good experience. I will return!
Gnocchi Seafood and Beef with Ravioli 5/5
I just wished the calamari portion would be larger.
I think the music could have been louder to give it a little more ambience. That is rare to say for a restaurant to be louder but I didn’t know there was any music until everyone left the restaurant.
