   My friend and I thought this restaurant was lovely, a real find. The owner who served us couldn’t have been more welcoming and helpful. We tried meat and cheese tasting plates and they were great. Our main courses were fantastic, authentic Italian cuisine - I had a Venison ragu that was just right. Wine on the pricey side, but it was delicious and we didn’t mind. We would very much recommend Poggi’s - I think it would be perfect for both everyday dining and special occasions.

   Great food and amazing service. They really went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The pasta dishes are highly recommended. Excellent value.

   Ristorante molto accogliente, indicato sia per una cena a lume di candela con il proprio partner che per una serata tra amici. Menù vario, possibilità di scelta tra carne, pesce e anche alcuni piatti vegetariani. I classici tortelli con la coda e il roll di branzino sono da provare assolutamente, come i dolci super invitanti e delicati. Personale di sala molto cordiale e disponibile. Speriamo di ripetere presto l'esperienza. In fondo sentirsi a casa, lontani da casa, non è poi così facile. Al Poggi's ci sono riusciti meravigliosamente.

   I went here yesterday after a friend recommended it to us, the food was beautiful. Part of their menu has a section of home made pasta, I had the home made lasgnetta di mare and my girlfriend had the delicious pappardelle with venison ragù. The staff were so friendly and the atmosphere was nice. I will be back next time I come to London.

   I’ve been for the first time at Poggi’s and I must say I really enjoyed it. This is not the average Italian restaurant you would typically find in London. Food and recipes are reflecting the Italian tradition from Emilia Romagna, one of the most recognised regions in the country for wine quality and outstanding cuisine. Service and atmosphere were simply perfect and the price fair. I would definitely recommend Poggi’s for a romantic date, every day dining or friends get together.

   Mi è stato suggerito da amici che abitano a Londra da parecchi anni. Mi sono trovato molto bene, servizio molto buono, ottime le pappardelle al ragù di cervo e una scelta di salumi veramente ampia. Sicuramente tornerò.

   I've been to Poggi's many times and it had always been our hidden gem. But after our experience on Saturday, I will definitely not be going back. Food quality has literally collapsed, with small portions, pre-heated mains and generally not tasting good. The cold cut portions have halved, the "gnocco fritto", the bread, the focaccia were all very poor and lacked salt. The mains were clearly pre-cooked and heated back, with the pasta overcooked and the rabbit completely dry. The wine choices were already limited and are now even fewer, at a much higher price vs. their quality. Its a shame to say as I loved this place, but there is no going back.

   The first few times I went to Poggi's I had an excellent time. It has however greatly declined in quality. I went last week and the prices had gone up however the quality had declined. The wines on offer are basic Italian wines which should not be more than £20/£30 per bottle however they sell a basic 'Primitivo' wine for close to £40 and a 'nero d'avola' for close to £20. These are basic wines from medium quality houses. I do not mind spending money for good wine, I do mind over paying wine by a factor of 2/3 though. The 'focaccia', which is usually excellent was not fresh due to the fact that they had decided to slice it before hand (likely over lunch) and by dinner time is was dry. The meat 'tangliere' was more bare than usual and the parma ham given was from the end of the leg. Again, I would not mind if they didn't over charge for it. The Mushroom sauce for the ravioli was cold and the wild bore was very dry. Given that they are both about £20 and the portions small I'd say that's disappointing. The really upsetting part is that I've always been a fan of that place - however there are plenty of good restaurant in the area and for the price that one pays at Poggi's these days, and the quality of the service and food, I would recommend trying the plethora of other Italian restaurants in the area, with also a better selection of wines.

   I very rarely comment on restaurants but this was a truly appalling experience. As we got there they were out of beer on a Friday night (i would have thought you can get a dozen of Peroni beers from the off license next door ), they did not have a wine list (which might be by choice and that’s their commercial decision), they had no balsamic vinegar (what kind if Italian runs out of vinegar on Friday night?). That was the start. Our focaccia came after 30 min and our prawn starter which arrived another ten minutes later smelled like used socks and tasted not much better. When i visited the bathroom there was no soap (i had to put water into an empty liquid soap dispenser (makes you really wonder what the stuff does after visiting the bathroom and before going back to the kitchen). Our mains were similarly bad and arrived about 75 mim after we ordered and after a couple fo complains. They were similarly bad but we were exhausted and just wanted to eat and leave to go somewhere else. I cannot recall a similarly bad experience in many many years

    Very cozy restaurant, welcoming environment that makes you feeling at ease since the first moment. It's like eating at grandma house! Food quality and ingredients are of extremely high level.
