   Absolutely awful. Had booked a table for a pre theatre meal and when I arrived (on time) and gave my name for the reservation, the staff seem totally disinterested and found an empty table and showed us there. The menu was very limited and a schools canteen would have been more interesting and better. I had chopped liver to begin with which was nothing more than a very thinly spread creamy pate on French toasted bread and not tasting of chopped liver at all. For the main course I had what was supposed to be spicy jerk chicken with pineapple but was as bland as anything with no spice at all and the pineapple was three strips one of which was total core. My wife had what was supposed to be cod cooked in matzo meal but was in fact cooked in batter. It was almost inedible and when she queried this, because someone at the next table also had cod but this was cooked in matzo meal, we were told that they would make a deduction from the bill. When this arrived they had only made a 10% reduction. When I complained, they begrudgingly took her meal off the bill. Never again. I have had better food at McDonalds. At least the show, Ragtime, was very enjoyable.

   Often eat here pre or post theatre, and always pre-book as the restaurant can get very busy. On this occasion I pre-booked as usual and received an e-mail the evening before, reminding me of our booking. It was a little disconcerting therefore to arrive after the matinee and find no table reserved for our party of 6. I tried to tell one of the staff but she seemed too busy to listen, although luckily another member of staff found us a table - we had arrived early so there was still space. It eventually transpired that the booking had been written in the diary for November 2017, which seems awfully inefficient on someone's part and could have completely ruined our day under other circumstances, which would have been so sad since we were celebrating a friend's birthday as well as having a meal before our long train journey back home to the South Coast.

   The menu is themed to the show on in the theatre which was nice. Not a Hugh choice but well presented and tasted great. The service was excellent the waiter was friendly helpful and polite. All in a relaxed atmosphere.

   I booked the Players Bar for our wedding anniversary, which I stated when I booked it. There was no reference made to our special day what so ever. The reason I booked the resturant was because I dined there in August for Titanic, the meal, service and atmosphere were all excellent, freshly cooked food. On Friday 16th the menu offered was not as advertised on the website, the starters lacked imagination and my main course came out almost cold! They did however change it for something else after first offering to warm it up. We were given a discount on our bill but it spoilt the start to our evening. Not impressed and will not be returning which is a shame as the theatre is excellent.

   Chose Players Bar based upon recent reviews. Sadly we were not as impressed as other diners - perhaps we were just unlucky. Fish and chips was fine but no white wine sauce on the chicken meant that it did not live up to expectations.

   This was our second trip to the Player's Bar and Kitchen and the food was just as good as the first trip. They style their menu's around their current production at the theatre. They are currently in between productions so we were the only ones in the restaurant at the time but we couldn't fault the waiter or the food we were presented. A real gem that is good value for money and unique in their approach.

   Was great to compliment a evening meal before the theatre performance. Food was fabulous. Enjoyed every bite. The price was pretty good too and the staff very friendly and helpful. Only thing is say was menu was limited but then it was a titanic menu so not sure on the everyday menus which may offer more choice but overall a fantastic evening

   The great advantage of this place, apart from the good food and service, is that you can collect your tickets in good time, relax over a meal served efficiently in air conditioned surroundings (especially valuable at the moment in this heat-wave) and then casually go down to the auditorium for the show. No rushing, no searching for somewhere to eat, no fighting to get in and no worrying about missing the curtain. Perfect.

   Nice to discover a small and quiet spot for a meal. Choice on menu could perhaps be a little wider.

    This was my first visit so I only know about post theatre use. I was impressed by the friendliness of the staff and the food.
