We have been to Plate Moderno a couple of times previously and had been pleased with the food and service. This time though the food quality and service were a notch below our expectations. They weren't big things but details that detract from the overall experience. First, I had the egg white frittata, and my wife had the lobster benedict. We both felt our entrees were "bland". I added copious amounts of pepper to my frittata to add some "taste". Small details included having to request salt and pepper and when my coffee came with cream and sweetener there was no spoon to stir my coffee. I used a fork to stir the coffee. Later, I quietly pointed out the spoon omission to our waiter who apologized but then walked away and did not return with a spoon. Yes, these are small details, but they are the type of details I expect to be addressed at a restaurant the level of Plate Moderno. Finally, a general restaurant comment. Why do they have to be cold? Plate Moderno's vents are all along the outside edge of the room. We were seated in an outside booth where the air conditioning blew down on us. Plate is not alone on this issue.

We dined at Plate for our anniversary. We asked for a quiet table in the reservation. The hostess was accommodating. The service was prompt and courteous. Our waiter was Ivan. We chose the prix fixe menu. The arugula salad was fresh and delicious. The Bruschetta was a little bland and needed more cheese for my taste. I had the bolognese, which had fresh rigatoni pasta and braised short rib. It was nicely prepared with just the right amount of sauce. My wife had the shrimp rigatoni. The vodka sauce had a bit of spice and paired well with the shrimp. Both dishes could have had more meat. Overall, nice restaurant experience

Tom our waiter was wonderful- all the staff was! Food was just okay unfortunately. Timing was off and protein dish was cold. Appetizers and Pastas were very good they made it right with some Italian donuts - very good. Wish things were more consistent but overall ok experience.

Always great cuisine wise. The wait staff was attentive but brought the incorrect bread which we didn’t correct and enjoyed and took a bit to get a box for our leftovers.

Great place to sit at the bar. Great bartenders and often great new people to meet and visit with. Sometimes previous acquaintances. Great Food. Know most everyone there and they are all friendly.
