Plate Restaurant offers an elevated, vibrant, stylish dining experience. With modern Italian cuisine in an upscale, setting, Plate sets itself apart with handmade pasta, fresh handmade bread and a 100% scratch kitchen. Created by Restaurateur Christian Joseph in 2014, the first iteration of Plate was destroyed in a fire. Reopening in 2019 at a new location, its bigger and better than ever! With an emphasis on the guest experience and hospitality, any evening you spend at Plate is sure to be special. Christian was mentored by Restaurateur Valter Nassi from Monte San Savino, Italy. Christian's grandfather Constantino Lucido immigrated from Frosinone, Italy to New York in 1948. Christian is passionate about Italian culture, food, and wine.     Celebrated our anniversary here and was given a champagne toast to celebrate. Our server was excellent and kept us informed regarding a private event causing a delay with our food. The food was incredibly yummy and definitely would recommend. We were full when we left and unfortunately didn’t have room for dessert. Our waitress let us know multiple times that another location closer to us in Lee’s Summit would be opening up in the next few years so we can revisit there.

    Amazing food and great service. I left full and so satisfied from a wonderful meal. Michael was accommodating of my request also and checked up be sure my party was doing well.

    Food was good, the waitress very attentive. The noise level was deafening and because they were having trouble with kitchen help we had a two hour wait for t(e meal which would have been towable if we could have conversed but couldn’t hear over the noise level between voice acoustic and the loud pounding music.

    I have loved plate the last two times I went, but they must have been short staffed because it took 1 hour and 45 minutes to get our entrees. Our salads were so cold that they almost tasted frozen. Everything was just lower quality than I expect, which was a bummer for the price. We were also having to yell over the music. Our waitress was very kind and attentive, you could just tell there were some issues in the kitchen.

    Great meal! Creative choices that are delicious yet true to their Italian origins. Our group tried several things on the menu and all were delicious. The Budino desert is the very definition of chocolate. Bartenders and waiters are very, very good.

    We had an excellent experience at Plate. From the moment we entered the venue, we loved our experience. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious…all of it. We had 2 of the Bruschetta, the arugula salad and the Bomboloni for dessert. Our server was perfectly attentive.

    Definitely too loud for us. Our reservation was for 8:30 on Friday and they were already out of the dish I ordered. My second choice was good but too rich. Sorry but had higher expectations. Would prefer that sides came paired with the main course rather than as an extra for 2. Just me I guess. Very good focaccia though.

    Another great experience at Plate in Brookside. Everyone in our party of four was extremely happy with their meal. From the gnocchi appetizer through the dessert course, it was an exceptional experience. The Moderno salads were fresh and a nice departure from the usual. Between the four people in our party, we sampled several of the pasta entrees including the Rigatoni Gamberi, the Carbonara, and the Arribbata (of course with meatballs). The servings were hearty and everyone was totally happy with their dish. Add to this, a loaf of garlic bread with truffle butter and the meal was complete. But, wait one minute. No meal is complete without dessert and the Plate dessert menu is literally the icing on the cake. We shared a huge slice of chocolate cake and an order of their fried dough balls with a lemon curd accompaniment. (I forget the formal name for this dessert and "fried dough balls" does not do it justice.). Both delicious and enough cake for dessert the following night for my wife and me. The wine selection offers a nice selection of varieties and price points. I would be remiss if I didn't also mention the service. From the hostess who greeted us at the door to the manager and wait staff, we were made to feel welcome and appreciated. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. To close, I would highly recommend checking out the VIP Club that is offered on their website for an even greater deal.

    Server was short on request and over booked with to many tables, we dined here a year ago and fell in love with the Tiramisu Cake, it was no longer on menu. Main entrees were meh for the cost.

    I had rigatoni with shrimp, which was delicious - even better the next day when I warmed up leftovers. Dessert was a fabulous grapefruit panacotta. Only complaint is noise level - it was hard to talk/hear with our group of six. Service was excellent.

    We went for brunch to celebrate our wedding. It was the perfect brunch. We had the parmesan risotto with fried chicken and biscuits and gravy. The food was excellent and the staff was attentive.

    We enjoyed celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary dinner at Plate. The hostess greeted us with a wish for a happy anniversary and our server, Chaz, brought us each a complimentary glass of champagne. Chaz made us feel welcome while also displaying a great sense of humor and efficient service. The food was excellent, as we've come to expect at Plate. We shared a Moderno salad and loaf of their delicious garlic bread. The Carbonara and Arrabbiata (of course with a meatball) were fresh and flavorful, not to mention plentiful. This was the second anniversary dinner we have enjoyed at Plate and plan to make it a tradition.

    This was our first time dining at Plate. My wife and I had both heard good things about it, so we were excited to try it. Unfortunately, our experience did not live up to our expectations. The setting and service were good. But the food was, overall, a disappointment. For example, the brussell sprouts were overly salty. The meatballs tasted pretty good, but were lukewarm when they arrived at our table. We will not rush back.

    The food was amazing, as was the service. They were great with my tree nut allergy. Highly recommend brunching on the patio, if you can. It was lovely. Get the garlic bread!
