The best vegan meal we have had in LA. We were travelling to LA and picked PF&W for an intimate dinner. We had the Chef's Tasting option and it was amazing. A celebration of vegetables that was vibrant, healthy, original and oh so tasty.
Excellent food and atmosphere. The outdoor garden at night is something you don't want to miss.
Great restaurant on every level except the insane prices. For example, TEA is $8.-
I happened upon this place by accident and am THRILLED with my experience. The food was fantastic, and everything you want in a good dining experience was there to support the food: the service, the ambiance, the professionalism of the staff... everything was fantastic. Highly recommended.
Food was good, not great but rapaciously over priced for the quality. Service was friendly and well intentioned but extremely clueless. The wine pairings for the prix fixe Thanksgiving dinner were mediocre at best.
Amazing food. I was pleasantly surprised with the level of creativity in each dish. The Mitake Mushrooms were incredibly savory and the main portions were bigger than I thought they would be. The ambiance was warm and welcoming, and I appreciated how attentive the servers were. Highly recommend to anyone wanting to experiment with vegan food, and highly recommend to everyone for a cute date night.
Amazing experience and totally recommend
This restaurant never ceases to amaze me. The food is delicious and artfully presented.
This was my second time here. The first time I was blown away by the experience: the food, the service, it was all excellent. But this time, something went wrong with our order and apparently the ticket was lost and we sat there for a VERY long time before this mistake was realized. And then we sat for a long time waiting for our food. I was hoping an overture might be made to apologize but...nothing. And it's NOT an inexpensive restaurant. Honestly, kind of left me feeling hollow and wondering if I would return.
Was good, just I feel it was sugar in the food, and I don’t like it. My boyfriend asked to mash his potatoes and they refused. Probably won’t come back
A perfect place for lunch, outside and in encumbered by the stress of everyday life.
I highly recommend the cheese plate. You will not miss the dairy.
Very cute, quality vegan food (and I'm not vegan). Server recommended a great wine, and good ambiance on the patio.
Amazing - I particularly recommend that cashew reclette and the avocado tikka
Our party of 7 was seated promptly in the beautiful back courtyard. Heaters are well placed for chilly evenings. Our server(s [a seeming team effort]), accommodated our group’s various dietary issues with ease. Food was delicious, wine over-priced.
Quite a letdown. I expected more from a Matthew Kenny restaurant. The kabocha squash was dry. My husband ate his salad thinking it had no dressing on it, only to find it pooled at the bottom. Trendy or silly? Let’s just say we didn’t know how to eat the salad to get the experience of a dressed salad. My golden milk was chalky. Did they use turmeric powder instead of smooth, fresh pressed turmeric juice? I won’t be going again. Oh, and my experience as a healthy eater? I’ve been a raw foodist/raw food enthusiast for nearly ten years.
I love a romantic spot for Vegans. So many options to choose from for foodies. It seems that a person who ate meat wouldn't miss it. They aren't strick on dress. We were dressed like a date night while the table near us had sweat shirts and jean shorts.
We will be back often.
The Wild Mushroom Sandwich is our fave item and has us coming back time and time again. It’s a shame it’s only served at lunch.
Exceptionally beautiful, fresh, local, deliciously progressive and comforting vegan food.
Our server wasn’t the best, we were left waiting for long periods of time that other servers came over to us. Tables close together, and the other couple had a loud volume. Noise came from next door. Place looks empty from the front but a very beautiful out side area
Had an excellent meal and wonderful service!
This is my third time to Plant Food + Wine and I look forward to more meals there! They offer wonderful food and superb service. The outdoor dining has a wonderful ambience but inside the restaurant can get a bit noisy.
One small recommendation would be to improve the wine list a little (and liquor would be lovely).
Unique and tasty food. With such creativity and beautiful presentation, the over abundand creamy sauces and heavy handed oil based cheeses are not necessary. Don't cover over the simple delicious veggies. I'll go back for sure.
Food and wine pairings were exceptional. Beautiful patio.
Never a bad meal, I love this place! Constantly proving that vegan food can be amazing, beautiful, and tasty!
A little pricey , but very tasty and well presented.
The food is soooo amazing! I'm not even vegan and can't stop going! Most import, the staff is soooo friendly which is rare in LA especially at such a up scale restaurant.
It was great! Good vegan food
The food was delicious and beautifully presented. The service was a bit intermittent- sometimes attentive, sometimes hard to get their attention. We seemed to have two waiters helping us. However, everyone was very pleasant and the food was great. Nice atmosphere.
Excellent atmosphere and delicious food. Great for a special occasion. Pricey!
The creative healthy meals are a treat to the taste buds. Very inventive dishes.
I went to Plant Food + Wine for a very special occasion, to ask my girlfriend to marry me. My girlfriend has been Vegan for 15 years, and has always stated how she wanted to go to this particular locale. The food was off the chain, and the wine was outstanding. I am particularly thankful and grateful for the incredible customer service. The team went above and beyond to make our engagement special, by taking pictures and video, and providing champagne and desert. We were blown away by the service, by the food, and by the ambiance. Thanks so much; we will be back!
Bravo. Amazing food with surprising flavors. This is a new go-to standard in vegan cuisine.
As a graduate of the Mathew Kennedy plant lab courses I knew what to expect and was not dissappointed. My only comment , the portions in the latter courses of the tasting menu were slightly too large ... maybe I just need to eat more !... sublime though and magical wine pairings
Been wanting to come to Plant Food & Wine for years now, and it did NOT disappoint. All of the food was outstanding, the service was wonderful, and all of the waiter's recommendations were incredible, so if you're not sure what to get, ask! He recommended things we weren't thinking of ordering that turned out to be incredible. Definitely order the Coconut Cream Pie - it's raw and totally incredible. You'll be swooning for each bite!
I’m not vegan, but I thoroughly enjoyed the cuisine. We went for my sister’s bachelorette dinner and it was wonderful. We were seated in the private wine room in the garden. Beautiful ambiance and great tasting food.
Absolutely loved this place! A little pricey but amazing quality food. The outdoor seating is pretty and romantic. I will definitely be back!
