Our first visit was for our anniversary and we definitely made the right choice. We ordered an array of dishes to share and absolutely loved all of them. Our server, Jesse, was also fabulous. Already excited to go back again.
Amazing food, quick service, friendly people, beautiful outdoor patio.
The care and passion that was put into every dish was clearly evident. Amazing anniversary dinner with superb service made this a spot we’re definitely coming back to. Highly recommend!
Awesome food. Amazing service!!
Amazing food, great service! Will be back for sure :)
Excellent place. Definitely recommend, delicious food!
Always the most beautiful and tast vegan food in town. Love PFW because it is vegan but without all the sudo vegan fried food trying to mimic a vegan version of non-vegan fare. Thanks as always for a great meal, a beautiful outdoor space, and a romantic date night!
The fettuccine was outstanding. The server recommended it and I wish I ordered two. The fig salad was great. Service was personable and pleasant. Wine was delicious. Keep doing what you're doing!
Love the ambience and the garden vibe. Food is always amazing! Great service
We ate here while on our honeymoon. PFW was one of the top highlights from our trip. Could not recommend more, and we'll eat here every time we're in LA!!!
Excellent experience and food quality
I was SO impressed! The ambiance was immaculate. I ordered the Market vegetables and my boyfriend ordered the Fritata. He was less impressed with the frittata and wish that he had ordered the market scramble like I had. The market scramble tasted better than any regular egg scramble I have ever had. Best vegan food hands down. The potato hash was unimpressive, and felt undercooked. We also ordered a side of bread (not on the menu but should be) and that was great: perfectly toasted sourdough bread with olive oil drizzled on top.
Probably the best plant based meal I have had in some time! WOW
Everything we ordered tasted bitter and stale. We told the server that this isn’t what we were expecting, especially having a very good experience at chef Matthew Kenny’s restaurant in Chicago. The server’s response was ‘all his restaurants are different so we can’t expect similar food quality, which was surprising.
The food and drinks were a huge let down, definitely not worth the money.
Great ambience and wonderfully creative foods that are all vegan. It was a joy to not have to worry about dairy.
I absolutely love this place. I am single and go out to eat by myself, and this is the perfect place for me. The ambiance is elegant and quiet, they are very dog friendly, the food is just amazing, and in particular, I have enjoyed the staff that is very professional. Grant, the waiter that helped me during my brunch visit is extremely knowledgeable, professional, but warm, and very kind, he made my experience memorable. I will go back and promote this place to everyone I know.
The outside patio is by far one of the nicest I've been in. Recognized very little from food or drink menu, so you order on faith that everything is good. My dish was very good (Nyokee pasta with summer veggies). My girlfriend's was a little disappointing (Oyster mushrooms something). This was her birthday and Food Plant & Wine by it's prices is an "occasion" restaurant...based on final bill.
Everything delivered to the table was beautifully presented and tasted just as lovely. Avocado tikka with the potato flatbread was delicious. The zucchini lasagna was omg. Brute pesto with beautiful tomatoes. Kelp pasta was also delish. Tried a wonderful biodynamic wine from two Sheppard’s vineyard. A+. And the coconut banana cream pie. OMG. I’m a fan. Staff were very friendly and extremely helpful.
My partner and I celebrated my birthday here. It was perfect! The food was incredible, the ambience was romantic and quite out back, and the service was wonderful!
lovely ambiance, we had a group of 6 and sat upstairs which was private and quiet. Food was good and unique but pricier than expected.
Plant food+wine is definitely priced like an upscale restaurant. Which is why it would have been nice to have more stable chairs and good seating in the outdoor patio. The food was quite good and creative. We ordered the avocado tikka, fettucine, and oyster mushroom entree and everything tasted good although not mindblowing. The portion sizes are miniscule though and I think they should improve on that. For dessert we got the banana coconut cream pie which was the servers recommendation. The bruleed banana was phenomenal but the ice cream was just sweet with not much else going on in it in terms of flavor. I wish there was more creativity in the flavor profile like the inclusion on pandan leaf or pineapple to complement the tropical flavors. Their wine list the phenomenal though. I got an orange wine which was delightful and paired well with the entrees we ordered. All in a good experience but certainly not the best out there!
The outdoor patio area was just lovely! romantic setting. Service was excellent, the staff are very knowledgable about the food and the preparation and they are personable and truly ant you to have a great experience. The food was truly fabulous, maybe the best Vegan meal I have had, ever! The fettuccine truffle was perfect and the trumpet mushroom dish was spicy and delectable.
This is a truly great vegan dining experience, you owe it to yourself to give them a try!
Awesome brunch! I’ve been here for dinner many times and have always enjoyed it but never for brunch… So glad I went this past weekend! The hazelnut mochi waffles were to die for good! The frittata was also amazing… Highly recommend you go and share plates so you can try a little bit of everything.
Went here with family for my birthday and really enjoyed it! Had the the bread, miso noodles, fettuccine, mushroom Appetizer and the banana dessert. Did a kind of “shared plate” situation and it worked out. Please come with an open mind cause the food here tastes and looks different. Amazing service and the waitress was very knowledgeable about ingredients and recommendations. For a new vegan I really feel like this is a must go to place for a more upscale experience. Only thing I didn’t really like was the banana dessert. But everything else tasted amazing and will definitely go again!
Servers were so welcoming and helpful in advising us on what to order! We had such a fun time and I will definitely be going again very soon. The outdoor seating is some of the most ambient and beautiful in LA!!
This place is so unexpected. The ambiance and the food were outstanding! Definitely going back. :)
Everything is amazing at this restaurant.
The service, the ambience and of course the food is so precise. Best restaurant.
First impressions weren’t that great. The hostess was unfriendly and had no customer service skills. While the bar is right there in the front, you could not get a drink while you waited??? When we were seated things improved greatly. Our waiter, (sadly I can’t recall his name) who you will know because he has the most beautiful blue eyes, was amazing!!! Friendly, attentive, knowledgeable about the menu. 5 stars for him! The food was good, we had the brunch menu. Being a non vegan and going because our friend is, (and it’s always lovely to see her able to order anything off the menu) I was a little disappointed that there was nothing particularly filling. All the dishes were tasty - stand outs where the hazelnut waffle w/ spiced syrup (ooohhh that syrup) and a potato/“egg” dish that had this amazing mayonnaise on the side. The bread that the BLT was on was also stellar but the “bacon” was…..hmmm….weird. The wine selection was on point and delish! Always love to see a good
selection of international wines on a menu!! The setting on the patio was lovely but they really do need to hydrate and trim up the trees. We didn’t sit inside but it did seem rather dark in the middle of the day. Overall an lovely brunch. We definitely go back but perhaps for the dinner menu and the wine, of course!!
We waited 20 minutes after being seated and no one came to help us. We had to call over the manager who was fantastic, but the service from the rest of the staff was awful. We had to wave people over whenever we wanted a water refill. There was also a mistake with our bill. Delicious food, but the service from everyone except the manager was nonexistent. We also experienced tables around us receive similar poor service with one table being asked to leave as they were there too long… They were there for a long time because they never received part of their order. And had to wait even longer for it.
We may go back because the food was fantastic, but there are a lot of great dining options in the area with better service.
Love the outdoor dining experience with my friends there :)
We love everything about this place, the food is always so delicious and it feels healthy. Most beautiful garden setting.
Wonderful dining experience! The creative dishes made this vegan very happy and my non vegan friends enjoyed it as well. The patio was beautiful
Beautiful patio. Food was delicious. Great service
What an amazing meal from start to finish! Fresh ingredients and incredible flavors! We’ll be back soon!
A wonderful find! It was lovely. The outdoor sitting area was wonderful and so peaceful. The food was excellent!!
We love Jesse!
Delicious food, service was great, lovely outdoor patio, dog friendly, a little pricey for the amount that we got. Our Seoul bowl was missing the sprouts on the top bc we noticed it when we spoke to the people at the table next to us who had the same thing, but by that time it was too late, we were already waiting for dessert. Get there early to find free street parking.
Birthday dinner and just having special time with friends.
